Kivy Showcase

Cool to see how this might look and feel on Android. Not sure if it's broken all the time or just has an old version. Dropdown, spinner, and copy/paste all don't work well. Copy/paste freezes the app. Dropdown and spinners are very unreliable when it comes to properly detecting button presses.

mostly very good and smooth. File picker is slow and needs to be reworked. (Galaxy S10 /Android 9)

Great introduction on interactive features available to build on a touch screen including option to view the code behind the scenes.

Crashes on screen rotation on Android 6.0.1 (CyanogenMod). Otherwise, a pretty good showcase of Kivy's features on Android.

Great display of kivy for Android, but the app crashes when I rotate the screen.

I use this to have a play around with widgets that I may use in my own development. Very useful tool

Worked great Android 8.0. No crashes during use or rotation.

Dropdown example isn't working (can't select items, can't cancel anx close the dropdown menu)

I love Python and want to develop Android apps with Kivy but what I see is not encouraging. The file chooser is very very slow. The swipes are not fluent. I just will stick with Java. Thanks for helping

It's a best way to learn about kivy, yet big size apps, but is alot faster programming.

This application is so very well presented giving such an important view of the working android framework. 5 stars ✨ and some!

Back button closes app in file dialog - better go back

I am evaluating dev tools in Python for Android. loaded Kivy Showcase to see how it works on my Nexus 5. disappointed with its performance.

Would like to see examples of really complete, pretty ui in addition to each part

I'm not sure what Mike Fedyk was talking about, I started it with my Galaxy S which also has a 1GHz CPU and it loaded quickly. Only reason it may have seemed to take longer is because the splash screen didn't work, which was noted as a bug on the website.
