Kiwibank Mobile Banking

Used to be a great app, now with the new look & update it's virtually impossible to use. Many people including me believe the new app look & design is NOT good or pleasing to the eye! Also, I can't log in with my 4 digit code as the zero number has been replaced or covered by a fingerprint icon.

Hate the new look, go back to the old look. The old look was much nicer on the eyes and more user friendly. Whoever thought the new look was a good idea should be fired immediately. If it doesn't get changed back, I'll be seriously considering changing to another bank with a better looking app.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled twice now since I updated this app today and it keeps making me do the fingerprint setup and completes it but as soon as I logout and try to login again it makes me go through the fingerprint setup AGAIN.! worked perfectly fine before update.!

Love that I can block a card or change a pin. The font in this update is too big that only the top half of words are displayed. Never had this problem in previous updates.

It's only started happening recently but I have set up to log in with my fingerprint and it will work for a few times but by the 3rd or 4th login it will say I have been locked out and I have to keep resetting my password which is super annoying. UPDATE 07/04/22: After and update it's gone back to not working with even the pin. Locks you out everytime you try log in and you have to reset password everytime. What a waste of time.

Although I like the app overall but I've just started to have an unexpected error message on every screen and can't see any information at all except for the widget which is working fine

Is it possible to implement a 'disable' Visa Debit feature, rather than cancel? Edit. Awesome app, does the job. Could we please improve the search function? When searching for a word, we shouldn't have to keep pushing load more transactions to find something from 1-2 months ago.

Improved but still not there yet. It still isn't possible to make lump sum payments into the fixed portion of the home loan through the app as with the Australian banks eg. BNZ.

Works well quick balances are really handy, only downfall is the new update doesnt have dark mode built in... you have to have your phone set to dark mode.

terrible app, wont let me sign in anymore, it says I've entered the wrong password 3 times when I only put the right password in once. Cant reset password either because it says that a unexpected error has occurred and to try again.

I see you've remodeled the house. Nice. Still no contact less payment option addad to the app??? Customers have been waiting for years.

No drag and drop feature. And a small widget is occupying too much of foot space on the screen.

The new update looks amazing and is plenty more responsive, well done! Looking forward to what you guys come up with for the next release

Has the app icon changed? No notification that this was happening. Just making sure my phone hasn't been hacked.

It's a good app to view balance.but unfortunately when I do money transfer into other account. Is too complicated. So my account is locked for months now. And another thing is I can't know my balance on phone Banking as well I entered the correct access number and the pin and said this information in not valid. This is being happened sense I started kiwibank. And it's over a year now. And idk why ask so many questions. I think this is the most compatible bank ever.

Absolutely disgusting new colour app extremely hard to read. Time to stop trying to reinvent the wheel.

Constantly crashing or has a message to say unexpected error please try again. It is rather frustrating..

ok at the start but now when I make a online purchase it wouldn't let me use the rest on my money for example had 79 dollars in my account and purchase some food off ubers which cost 48 dollars and after only could spent 12 dollars

My refund from briscoes was transferred into my account immediately, but I have not been able to access it, why is it taking such a long time for it to clear??? I phoned customer service to ask what the problem is, but I got a computer asking me what I was calling about, and then I was told that there was over an hours waiting time. Kiwibank customer service is absolutely useless, and it shows just how much kiwibank cares about their customers, and no call back service, useless

March 2022 and still no support for Google Pay.. It's not going to be long until I can spend crypto at a point of sale without loading up a custodial card.. And Kiwibank still doesn't see Google Pay as a priority.. That's why I only use this account for Afterpay.. All other transactions I now do in Wise. 4 hour transfers in business times, next day transfers even on Sundays.. And ofcourse Google Pay.. Come on Kiwibank get with the times..

Edit: Thanks for the quick reply and letting me know about this feature. Bumped the rating to 5. ============ All good, apart from screenshot issue. Whenever i take screenshots on Android 12, i get a black screen. This problem is not present on any other app that i have. Is this a feature or Bug?

Good app and everything works well, only thing is that the widgets don't align to other widgets and seem to be on a half between type of grid

Dislike huge strain on my eyes,it's the same colours as Uber eats except there app is better,please don't change what isn't broken I want the old app back.didnt even want to give it a 1 star rating but have to so my review will post

Useless - since the update it will just give an error message half the time meaning I can't access my accounts or make payments etc which renders the point of the app useless - I have to log on to the browser which is a pain. I emailed the developer a few weeks back and they haven't bothered to reply to me or address the issue.

It's honestly just not user friendly as an app. Add an option to turn on notifications for any withdrawals and deposits, add mobile pay, add more in-depth customisation for accounts and app layout. A lot of the other NZ bank apps are doing these things - why can't you?

New look isn't too good. Too flat, bit hard on the eyes. Don't try fix if it isn't broke

On my Samsung a30 I keep trying to log in and it sends me a verification code but after I put that code in the app gets stuck loading forever and I can't do anything else

Change it back to the old colour scheame. what happened to the account photos? What a waste of money!
