The app does exactly what it should... Sort of. The different services that you can stream don't have all the features that the individual apps do, which csn be frustrating. The HiRes option via wifi is just a slight degradation in quality of sound from the aptx Bluetooth connection on my klipsch powergate. But overall, good, functional app.
App is not bad at all, not sure why it is rated so poorly. (The newest version must have fixed a lot of the old bugs, hence my experience.) Never tried Sonos, for the price they ask for, i just thought it was too much for the average sound quality, but this app was easy to follow, and spotify connect works perfectly. Not perfect however, the firmware update required download of another utility app, which imo is quite redundant, more app creates unnecessary confusion. Overall good joB Kplisch!
It's...okay. Klipsch is a speaker company, not an app developer. I suppose it will take some time to work out the bugs. I do, however love my Klipsch Threes. The PowerGate is....meh. The application DOES work and, once you work out the bugs, you can work around them without too much effort.
so limited. I want to play the tunes from my phone, over the 500 dollar speaker I bought. too much to ask. plus I cannot control the volume for this speaker via bluetooth, the same as I can for literally every other bluetooth enabled device I own, from the cheapest 10 POS to...everything but this!? maddening. returning this thing. what a crock. so much potential. if I could give it 0 stars, I would.
The user interface is NOT intuitive at all, can't use Apple Music, won't run on my Chrome Book. Spotify ap is klugie, but works great with my Android Phone and Pandora. Very happy that I can use 2 legacy stereo systems and Power Gate for outside at a fraction of the cost of Sonos. A balance cotrol would also be nice.
Looses connection. When on wifi, it looses the connection each you try to use another app. When you reconnect it starts the song that was playing from the start. Another problem is the app must stay on top and remain open to play, it eats battery life. Really a horrible app to use.
a clone of the DTS Playfi app and every bit as bad... unintuitive, undocumented, inflexible, but most of all does not support subfolders and so is useless with an NAS or other DLNA server... save yourself the trouble and instead get the excellent Hi-fi Cast app
Everything on this app works as advertised. I haven't had any of the issues I've read about here in the app store. I love what it is capable of. Streaming my records through out my entire house is awesome. The sound quality is great.
Won't work on s8 phone. No function on the 'I agree' question for permissions. Ironically enough, the remote for the klipsch sound bar I just got is junk too...that's why I was downloading the app.
My first big item speaker is Klipsch the three! What made me first choose it is the sleek design of the wooden surface of the speaker. But when I tried it in the space of my room, it sounded even better than when I played it in real life! Honestly the "true sound" legend of the brand came alive in my room when the acoustics and the instruments all had their own sweet spots! It is amazingly life changing.
Difficult to use, speakers fall out of sync
Functional, good compatibility with many streaming apps. Overall good experience but the user interface can be more friendly and intuitive.
the accept button for their terms of service doesnt work, so you cant use app. you can read their tos, or decline, and check the box, but, waste of time.
Klipsch Gate Play-Fi device does not connect with Spotify Connect when playing recently saved albums in the Spotify account library but able to play album saved before August 2019. Please investigate.
Pretty good app from Klipsch. There may have been some glitches here and there, but good so far. Would love to see some support for youtube music!
I have a Samsung galaxy S7. I cant get by the policies screen in the setup because the decline button sits on top of one of the radio buttons I need to hit to move on. Yo Klipsch what the hell!
App is trash. How do you guys still not have youtube music. Never had google play when it was still around, like come on!!!! So annoying. Also your product constantly hums and it's supposed to be normal
Doesn't detect my The Three speaker on either 5g or 2.4 network, in close proximity, on a modern Asus router. Tried everything imaginable. Annoying af.
I'd have rated this higher, but the app doesn't follow contemporary Android design guidelines, and is a confusing mess for the average user - I write this as a consulting software engineer and data scientist... 🤔
3 years of hell trying to get the 2 small speakers to stay connected. The sound bar and sub woofer are great. I should have bought Sonos.
Works.... Actually, as of this writing, the app has stopped working... Please fix it... Been working for a while... Love it...
Always issues with updates never works support is non existence. Now all I have is a very expensive bick that will not play music hanging on my wall
The hi res audio streaming via this app is phenomenal (compared to streaming hi res via blue tooth aptx) but the app is very laggy
does not connected reliably to SiriusXM. When this app fails SiriusXM always works but I cant play-fi from SiriusXM. A technology not yet ready for prime time....
Terrible app! Sound is good, but app is so 2000s!
This app could use an update its not intuitive and does not modern but woks just fine just needs a polish that's all
Updated review: When it works it's great, but lately it intermittently doesn't find/connect to Klipsch devices unless you power cycle device, phone, and/or WiFi. Also there should be an option to postpone an update instead of forcing it. Hi-Res to 2-3 devices simultaneously would be a nice to have upgrade. Intermittently app asks to stream from cloud instead of phone. This should be an easy to find manual option setting.
