KLTV First Alert Weather

This winter the low temps were about 20 degrees off. For example, saying the low for the day is 43 when its 23 outside. I tried a few other weather apps, but I'm back to this one because theres no ad overload, I get accurate local severe weather alerts, i dont get spammed with non weather related notifications, and its easy to navigate. Not sure what was up with the temp inaccuracies this winter, but for everything else this has been the best weather app I tried so I revised my rating and review

Since getting this app (over 2 years now), I've never gotten sound with any weather alert video. The ads play sound, but not the important video.

I have a love hate relationship with this app. When it works well it is easily the best weather app I've used! Unfortunately, it frequently tends to be glitchy, slow to update, or will lock up entirely for days on end. It's suffocating with advertisements. Ads are to be expected in a free app, but when they impact performance it just defeats the purpose. I recently uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and it seems to be working more smoothly. I'm cautiously hopeful for a better experience!

Not the best weather app. Or maybe it's just not the best meteorologist putting the data in? Either way, I'd love for it to stay on the city I'm in and not change randomly. Also, if the forecasts could be the same between here, the television, and the radio, that would be awesome. It's like y'all are guessing so much you're just putting random forecasts, praying 1 will be right.

This is the worst news and weather app for East Texas. You have to watch long commercials first and then it only shows a pic of the radar or weather with no explanation after waiting through the commercial. If they feel it is important enough for an alert to blast my phone I should get information immediately not wait through commercials. Disappointing app to say the least. I have watch the videos but they show nothing. Uninstalling and looking for something better.

I now hate this app. It is riddled with click-bait. Tried to watch a video about visible satellites. Shown a 30 second commercial followed by a 5 second video slideshow that could not be read completely, followed immediately but another 30 second commercial. Really????

Omg this app is gotten horrible now. We were just under a tornado warning and I couldn't see the damn radar or anything else because of ads. Why the hell a bunch if ads playing when severe weather and tornados are everywhere people in the tornados path is. Also this app didn't alert anybody like it use to. Thank God my stereo was on and the local radio station alerting us. I had to give at least 1 star but if I could I would give no stars and I've uninstalled it.

Installed the app recently and tried to check the weather today. The app took me to my browser and I got a popup asking if I would give it permission to send me alerts. After I clicked the No button it wouldn't even let me see the weather report! I uninstalled it immediately! I need a weather app that I can view the weather when I want to, not one that forces me to get notifications!

Love the app...but i cant navigate anywhere in the app at all anymore. It just stays on the home screen and wont switch to daily, radar, etc..or the drop down menu. Please fix!

I have been getting the same notification all day long, and I am about to delete this app because it will not stop telling me the same thing, again and again. I am aware of the weather, I read the notification. Fix this glitch in programming

Always trust the weather forecast and alerts

It has been 3 years since I moved to South Dakota from Longview, and I still use KLTV weather app. I also depend on it everyday as I drive my 18 wheeler across the country. Keep up the good work Mark!!!!!!!!

plays ads just fine, actual video not so much. There is NO volume control so ads have sound just fine, actual video is mute. No way to turn on sound for video.

Please fix! Not able to look at daily, hourly, nor radar much less the other loadings I have saved. This keeps happening, it had been happening again the last few days as of 5/4/21.

The forecast literally changes daily and sometimes hourly. What ever this weather app shows will happen, it's usually wrong, but I do like the radar.

The only problem with this app is the app widgets. They don't work properly. Otherwise, great weather app! Number one!

this app has so many ads that it causes the whole app not to work well. so slow. but most of the time doesn't even function at all

you care about your safety? get accuweather. you have to watch a 30 second ad before you see the weather and alerts. seems counter productive in a dire situation. my county was just under a tornado warning and i didnt know until after a 30 second ad.

Very inaccurate, you might as well download the weather channel app or just go outside and look at the sky for more accurate information. Hourly forecast showing 10% chance of rain during a major storm with tornado warnings is UNACCEPTABLE.

Latest update is basically bricked. Won't access anything but the main page, no touch response for any point on the screen.

Lags horribly, makes me wait through long and multiple ads, cannot choose a video, have to wait for each weather video to go through.
