KMBC 9 News and Weather

Please, I'm begging. Make an option so your app only alerts me for tornadoes. I don't need your theme tune screaming at me randomly unless it's something urgent. Tornadod are urgent. A storm or temperature change is not startle me sound important. ;_; I wanna keep the app but it's useless with out the option to have it only ever alert for tornadoes.

You don't want to start writing due to the fact that every time I try to watch the news when it's live it constantly just freezes on your channel 9 logo but show an ad and that's it ridiculous

Tried this app several times and always dumped it. I don't mind pop up ads from time to time, that's fine. The way this app is presented, you get only partial headline, and must "click" on the whole story instead of being able to tell from the headline if you're interested. Moving on.

At first I thought it was my phone that was causing your guys app to constantly buff during streaming on news apparently not I just bought a brand new phone 5G perfect internet reception no lagging and every 30 SECONDS your news feed rebuffs Pause rebuff pause rebuff FIX YOUR APP SO PEOPLE CAN WATCH THE NEWS

Never can find the stories you get notified on. I will get pop ups with a story and click on it if there's any sort of issue with the internet or anything else where it can't take me directly from that pop-up you can never find that story on their news page once you go there or sometimes you'll click on it and it'll just take you to the new page and the little preview that you saw in your notifications is nowhere to be found. It's very frustrating

I am new to the app, so I'm testing it out. However, my stepdaughter has it and is pleased with it's performance.

Love the app and the weather radar Update: I wish I could have this app for the weather only. The articles are very biased and now that my life and my job has been tampered with I can't follow this channel anymore. Journalism takes 2 sides of the story, gets the facts, and puts them together. What I've seen is get the facts from another source, get 1 angry customer that is lying to sound more dramatic, and report while acting repulsed. There's an entire staff here that feels betrayed by them.

Good app. Would be even better if you had just a weather app and it could be moved to my SD card. Ch 5 is like that but I find 9 to be more reliable. Would hate to change just for space on my phone.

Used to love this app, but it is the only weather app on my phone that will not give me push or sound notifications, despite checking all my phone and app settings. Still love Channel 9 and all the meteorologists though, only station I trust!

I like watching this tv channel/newscast and want to know if bad weather is nearby, but its frustrating that I keep getting news notifications when I did my app settings to only get weather alerts. Why is this happening?

I like the app. I don't like getting notifications that say "We miss you..." when I use the notifications and app everyday. Other than that it's great!

Used to be a very good weather app. Now I get notifications on everything under the sun and am not getting the alerts re bad weather that I used to get. Very disappointing change to this app.

I like to watch KMBC news. The only bad thing about this app is that it sends "breaking news" alerts on things that are not breaking news. They are just any story. So I ignore all alerts.

I loved this app... Until the next to latest update. Now, it won't load and tells me that I have a connectivity problem. Tried with the newest update, still the same. Have to uninstall.

This app was frequently sending me notifications for filler news stories and silver alerts with no way to configure what I wanted to recieve. Because of this I am uninstalling this app and in search of something better.

So much disappointment. No turning off information you don't want. Your 'settings' never get saved. The only thing done right is their logo. Very disappointed. Now, it looks like I am FORCED to give one star, else my review won't get posted.

I have to reboot my phone everytime I try to get out of the app... Otherwise, it's ok. When are you going to offer other KMBC apps like streaming live TV ???

It's just ok. The updates are slow. I do not look to this app for the latest news. Channel 5 news app is faster and more up to date. Just saying.

My only source for reliable news and weather when I need it. It is the best just like the KMBC 9 News team. Thank you for all you do.

I couldn't figure out a way to silence the alert that I was getting a news story. The alert is really loud and annoying. Had to cancel.

I liked the old one & I like this one!! Nice to have weather info & radar at my fingertips whenever I need it. Thank you KMBC!! You're always there for me!!

start a video and it locks phone thanks up so you can't get back to home screen or notification bar without letting the videos commercial and video itself running to completion.

Best news, and weather team. Very informative on severe weather. Only news channel I watch. Bryan Busby and team are the best.

it's ok just hate who the videos just stop when trying to watch the news but would like to no y u all don't really so what really happening in our states just Johnson cou ty is really what u all focus on very disappointing like to no more about Missouri not kansas

I check this every day for news, weather, and traffic. Lately also about COVID news and how it affects KCMO and the US.

On completion screen went black. Had to restart to get into my phone

not up to date on news stories same old articles as in years old. Trying to pass of ads as articles.
