Amazing game, with very good set up and role-playing system. I totally recommend it, if you want something to get hooked on. 2022 update (last review was in 2019): Game has gotten very frustrating. I tried to replay it, after 3 years but the grind is too annoying. Maybe if there was a difficulty setting it wouldn't be so bad.

Fun, simple, grindy, turnbased, RPG with humor and enemy variety. Prices for extras (for which you need to buy diamonds) are too damn high. E.g. 1 extra class will cost you about 5 bucks, while other classes are unlocked for free and for the same price you can unlock a whole new expansion to the game. The disparity seems to large. There are a lot of things to buy, but it'll cost a fortune to just get some basics.

I love the game overall, honestly a fun non stop dungeon grind and it's exactly what I've been looking for... But there's no reason it should only be playable online. The game really needs an offline playability and I find that to be a major issue. Normally I'd see it as a minor inconvenience but due to it being such an attention grabbing game I always want to play it. I feel like it's really missing a major aspect by not being offline compatible, and that's why I think it tanked in that regard

A fantastic series ruined by micro transactions. There is such a strong push towards buying packs and gems that the balance of the game is completely thrown off. It takes forever to grind enough gold to get anywhere, and then you can easily lose all of it in an instant when you need to resurrect your party members after you got wiped by an insane crit. I loved the original, but this version just leaves a scummy taste in my mouth. This game singlehandedly changed my view on the entire IP

I feel really bad giving this wonderful game this bad of a score. It's really good and I had a great time with it one or two years ago. Trying to revive the experience, I downloaded it again. But, to my displeasure, the game is full of bugs that make it unplayable. The screen freezes and the game crashes; I'm prompted every two minutes if about a save conflict between cloud and local saves; and, worst of all, my save file became impossible to access. At first I thought it was simple gone, as it showed "New Game" over it, but as I tried to load it, nothing happened. My guess is that my save is still there, I just can't play it. I really believe it's a great game, but as it is now, I can't even play it

This game is sincerely great, you're able to set up your own battles and are rewarded for difficulty and diversity. There are even dungeons that are randomly generated that you can explore. Although I don't know if it's just coincidental issues, it seems like it has DRM. If I'm disconnected from Internet I just get two splash screens, then a black screen. Devs if this is a real issue, please fix it. If it's really DRM... please remove it. I'd love to be able to play this on the go.

Not a bad game by any means. The premise is very good and it is enjoyable for the most part but I do agree that it's unbalanced. There seems like there's some grinding needed to actually reach the levels recommended for each quest--which should really never be the case for a game--and the looting system has some issues. Things seem to be priced really high and, unless you have a character or an item to increase the gold drop rate, it's hard to buy items, even consumables.

I played KoP&P 1 and I'm partially through Galaxy of P&P. Both are great games. The graphics on this are better than the first, the UI is better, I like certain aspects of the gameplay, but the new gold system is a little disappointing. There's a lot of grinding to get enough for both equipment and to pay for travel. Maybe once I put in more time it won't seem as severe but it seems broken now that I'm at level 9.

Fun when it works. This game is truly awesome. It is INCREDIBLY FUN and I've dumped too many hours into it. The problem is that it always stops working. The team gets to about level 20 across the board and suddenly the game can't open beyond the first two companies to actually let you play the game. Full black screen. I spent several hours the first time trying to fix it and had to uninstall. Tried again today after building a whole new party and the saved data was sevral levels back. Nah.

This is a potentially great game, but I have some issues. 1. The microtransactions are too expensive. C'mon let's be realistic here... 2. There is no mechanism for getting diamonds (the premium currency) except for paying. An option to watch ads would be a huge improvement. 3. After the initial startup the game becomes VERY grindy... a player ends up spending hours and hours fighting the same monsters in order to level up just to move forward with the quest.

Absolutely love the game, the silly references to classic RPG's, the layout, the controls, everything. 1... tiny... problem, I get an in game advert, EVERY day reminding me to watch an advert for 5 diamonds, yet I never can, the option isn't there! Though the game is amazing enough not to drop a star as a few people would. That's just how good it is!

It's an alright game, but really needs to be revamped. It's almost impossible to do any quests without being super over leveled, and if you make a mistake once, you have to spend a super long time grinding for coin. The enemies that are your same level do tons more to you than you can to them, tons of game mechanics aren't explained until late in the game, and many dice rolls are fairly, just impossible. I've played this game for a while and have never gotten s high roll on traps or anything.

Game starts off well. Each quest gets you about where you need to be to move on to the next, a small amount of grinding necessary. This quickly fades to an unenjoyable amount of grinding. Does offer some fun decision making in character building, and more tactical than most games that claim to be, but overall the grinding takes away from what could be a fun little game.

If you don't play right you get punished way to hard by making that the enemy's level there damage more then you can defend. And it's not hinted at at all that you are doing so. After sometime playing, that damage of the enemy's gets to a critical point and you are practically soft lock. Or if you want to farm low level enemy's for a very long time, you can escape it. But it's not fun.! All wen you know about it, it becomes rather fun game

Drops and rolls seem to average incredibly low. Plus, after playing for about an hour, I had to choose between the 800 gold, 100 diamonds, and (uncommon) equipment I had collected in the new (local) save or getting rid of a glitch that continually asked me if I wanted to keep the new (local) save or the old (cloud) save. No matter how many times I chose to keep the new (local) save, 30 seconds later, I'd get the same error message. It finally stopped when I chose to keep the old (cloud) save.

Won't give you a proper D&D experience, but then no app really will. Still very entertaining and fairly engaging as well. Can take some getting used to when learning what character combinations work and there are difficulty walls at times if you don't have a good grasp on such, but overall it's pretty fun and charming. Definitely worth a look if you're curious.

I played this religiously when it first came out, had high level characters, great items, and stockpiles of gold for starting new parties. Then they moved to their crystal system, reset everything I had, and gave a pittance of gold compared to item costs in the game. Lost all my room items too. Players new to the game won't noticed too much, as it is a pretty solid game, despite the push for microtransactions... but older players got a real slap in the face. Shame.

A fun game to play, but the in game economy is horrible. You can buy an item in the wrong place for 48,000 and then sell it for a measly 300. The quest rewards don't scale well AT ALL. A level 18 quest gave me a dagger, something you can get easily at level 1. In app purchases are ludicrous. Everything is upwards of $10 for something it takes you nothing to create. Just another game that doesn't understand the word MICROtransaction. There's more issues but I ran out of space.

I quickly became addicted to this game at release despite the amount of grinding to play without having to buy diamonds. When I got a new phone, even though I had an account, all progress was lost. Turned me off of the game for 2 years or more. I just started playing again recently, and I feel like I'm grinding more now than I did originally as a lot more items to purchase have been added. The game has far too much grinding to be fun, however, the console edition is amazing.

It's looking a lot like the first game which is good but it's missing a bit of randomness, so far when I've rolled poorly and gotten attacked while sleeping or traveling I always get the same exact same enemy counter whereas the first game had two three or four different encounters using different enemies and quantities of them to keep you guessing. Plus getting a pop up in the first half hour for a micro transaction is kind of not great.

This WAS an amazing game. So good I bought all the DLC. I beat it twice. Very good game... then it went freemium. I not only lost all my purchased content but also all of my saves. They also changed all the values so now it's a completely different animal. Additionally, these changes are not balanced properly. Nowhere is this more clear than thw fact the cheerleader now heals 100 instead of 5. The enemy damage was not scaled to keep pace. She is very OP. Until enemies start one shotting you.

I like to come back to this game every now and again... This was one of the best, but the transition to 'f2p' stripped most of the fun out of it, and turned it into a grindy cash grab. You can play without spending money, but I wouldn't recommend it. Plus, you lose everything if Paradox reset your account after a period of inactivity... Which just drove me to uni stall for the last time.

I wish they'd revisit this game. I remember when it wasn't so money hungry. I've been playing for a while and have beaten the game twice now. the items dont really keep up in the new game plus. And I remember when you could upgrade green items like the leaf-mail armor. I still have one in my stash to prove it too. I like this game a lot. it should be re updated I think. Maybe not so money dependent, and that they should really fix the recipe system. Still playing though.
