Knockr (Beta)
The lock screen feature of Knockr is designed for all devices and will listen for Gestures or Knocks. Lock screen utilizes the palette class to pull colors from your background and apply them to the camera button and the nav bar (Lollipop only). On Android Lollipop devices you can control media right from the lock screen. The lock screen will also take on the colors of the Album artwork.
To launch apps with Knockr' Gestures or Knocks from anywhere you can use Knockr Everywhere. Tapping on the small Knockr button will launch the Gesture/Knock listener. Long pressing or double tapping the Knockr button will lock the screen.
Knockr on OLED devices can mimic the screen being turned off while still listening for Gestures or Knocks, with black screen. Tasker Integration gives you even more control of Knockr Black Screen. Use Tasker to set the parameters you want for Knockr Black Screen to open/pause. The three options you can choose for Tasker to control are on, off and toggle. On launches Knockr. Off closes Knockr completely. Toggle option toggles Knockr sleep (release and reset the screen wake) the same way that the 'Power Management' option does. When using Tasker integration it is recommended to switch Knockr off in the settings and uncheck power management if using the toggle feature.
Gestures include:Double Tap, Swipe Up, Swipe Down, Swipe Left, Swipe Right, Long Press, Up Arrow, Double Up Arrow, Down Arrow, Double Down Arrow, Right Arrow, Left Arrow, Clockwise circle, Double Clockwise Circle, Counter-Clockwise Circle, and Double Counter-Clockwise Circle.
Knocks are limited to 3 unless a donation is made and then they are unlimited.
Volume Up button when in Landscape: Pressing the volume up button when the device is in Landscape will automatically open the camera
Known issues:Power button doesn't turn screen on as expected (The power button isn't possible to be overridden in Android, so there is no way to fix this).Lockscreen Background doesn't show correctly when using the Google Now Launcher (Lockscreen Mode. The wallpaper aligns to the third page of the launcher. This seems to be a vestige from the old android launcher).Notification LED doesn't show when using black screen (This happens because the screen isn't turned off fully).

"Quick access to certain apps with Gestures", works perfectly in my phone... The thing about "screen on" feature is this app makes my screen never really goes off, only emitting black color on the screen. I was looking for this app in order to save my power button from being pressed too much, but this app drains my battery instead.
This is really good work but still I have some reservations, when the screen is locked it gives an impression of screen is off but its actually on and that is eating up the vital battery juice also shorten the display panel. Therefore please do something about it, same feature is seen on lumia devices and great also in Asus Zen 2 phones......!
Unless your hardware support double tap feature in which case u won't need this app, all such apps keep screen awake thus heavy battery drain. I kept fully charged phone in airplane mode after 8 hrs of sleep the battery was 42% in the morning.
Didn't find anything written on the description! Still gave it a 1 coz I can't give a 0 o rminus. Shall be happy to change the ratings if someone walks me through. Go to Security Settings and uncheck device administrator for Knockr before you can uninstall this app
I am really loving this app, and I know it's still in beta status, but could you please fix the error when it simply blocks the notification LED while the screen is locked. The problem occured on a Note 3 running Lollipop.
Its an awesome application. I like it to install my handset. It works greatly. I suggest you to install this apps. It help to avoid the continuous use of my power button
A good performance though being in beta. Suggestions: 1. User should be able to set wherein actually the screen will be switched off 2. Screen off during night 3.usable as Tasker plugin 4. Battery saver mode where blank screen is on only when there is a new notification
The lock screen has some flaws: 1.) I couldn't get the music art work to display on lock screen. Nothing from the music was was displayed. 2.) The clock was too big and the am/pm was being cut off. I would like some options as to the style and size of the clock. 3.) I couldn't change the wallpaper. The wallpaper that I used for my home screen was the lock screen wallpaper. 4.) It was lagging a lot.
It would be better if the light sensor turned off Because i use Twilight and at night time the screen is visible red and glows with variable lighting. Please give option to set custom gestures like if i draw C Camera should open and if i draw F Facebook it should open.
Doesn't work. As a bonus it managed to overlay itself on top of every other app. Rebooting didn't help and until I can find a fix my brand new device is a useless brick.
Its run perfect on my note 3..but only notification led indicator will not work during screen off..so its true the phone still on but only screen is black display.sure battery eating
Could not get double tap to work. Not going to spend more than 10 minutes trying to figure out how to enable a single feature.
Its good enough app but when its turn on the notification light dosent work on my Galaxy s5, please slove this bug
This is very dangerous app & it won't work properly my phone got locked & i was not able to unlock screen. Then i restarted phone & first i uninstalled this app. So please don't install this.
When you put it lock screen instead of black screen, the double tab screen on feature stop :/ and yea when you turn on your device,you will find out that there is no lock screen and this would make it very insecure :/. Fix those and i will give it 5 stars :D.
nice app, but this app make screen is not fully off. there is light up on the screen. so this should be drain the battery
GODAMN IT, IT TOTALLY WOORKSS LIKE A CHARM ON MY HTC ONE M7, NOW NOT ONLY MA LG FLEX PHONE CAN KNOCK TO WAKE !!! LATER ON HOME WILL TRY THIS ONE TOO ON MA ASUS PADFONE S. IF CAN I WILL RATE THIS APP TO 10+++ VERY AWESOMEEE APP EVERR !!! after a while i discover more how this app works.i think this app just dim the screen to lowest level (my batrey drain a lil faster, but who cares my lowest capacity fone batrey was 2300 Mah, its enough to daily use). and yea power button wont screen on anymore, you still can power it on with volume buton up/down, then press home button. with those cons i decide still keep ma rate to 10+++. too bad only appear 5* on playstore lol :D
Doesn't double tap to unlock, does double tap to open the knock unlock screen, hope they can fix this as i want plain double tap to unlock (no knock code required)
This app works by rendering black screen when you lock your phone, this will drain your battery.
Digitiser stays on. Buggy pause after lock. Isn't even active half the time. Soo many problems don't bother.
I don't have factory wake up knock on my mate 7... This app solved it
Problem with always on screen . S7 edge device. Always on screen disapear after 0.5 second screen off turn to black screen.
I was hoping to find the knock code from the G3 but I was sure I'd have to find a mod. I guess not, fantastic work.
It's eh it doesn't register the code when the phone is off, it doesnt show the time or anything and its kind of scary thinking this all might lock me out of my own phone.
Works fine on my phone. Not sure about the battery usage though. But it does work without any issues.
It work tap tap to wake.. but after you turn off the screen,its not totally off, it just dimming your screen, so that it will drain your battery
App is good but it's still in Beta condition.Means the developer is still working on it to improve it.Need more Device compability.
Just installed this on my phone running Android 4.4.2. Overkill for my needs. All I was looking for was a simple app to wake my phone without using the power button. However, the fact that this app disables the power button (for power on only) is a bit of a problem for me. I've tried numerous apps that use the proximity sensor and they all had unacceptable battery drain. I'm hoping this app will not suffer that same problem. Unfortunately, it looks like this app DOES use the proximity sensor which, in turn, has unacceptable battery drain.
