Exceptional quality! Flawless demonstrations of knots being tied. Pause, turn, slow down. Beautiful graphics. I've used this for years and despite the fact that I've changed tablets, changed phones, and even changed between Google and Apple products; I've never had to pay but one time! The developer told me that no one should have to pay twice.

This app is pure gold the animation how it shows you how to tie the knots you can actually slow it down real slow and pause it so you can keep up with it if you're having troubles on a hard not that you're learning it's great for beginners and even experts I'm a beginner and I'm already learning how to tie all kinds of stuff using paracord and fishing line so worth the money. Thank you to the developers for making this app and showing me lifesaving knots.

Awesome app! Lots of knots and easy to follow. Can move forwards and backwards through the tying process. I really appreciate the description and references and details.

The contact issues have now been resolved & as soon as Play Store updates the app I'm assured the index issue too is fixed. Improvemnets to an already good app.

Brilliant, very easy to use, it is simple but still so informative. Highly recommended.

[EDIT] After using the app a lot since writing my initial review I've realised that many knots start off the same way but the app presents each knot in a different orientation. This small anomaly slows down the learning curve. Dropping one star. One of the best knot learning/demonstrating apps out here. Being able to animate backwards and forwards through a tying sequence is a great way to see the intricacies of some knots.

I've been using this App for over 3 years. It's the best one on the market that I've found. You can control the speed of the video and slow it down or even back it up to see a difficult routing, rotate it, and keep a list of your favorites. Sometimes, there is an advantage to seeing the hands tie a knot, such as the Alpine Butterfly wrap method, and other techniques to tie these knots that this App doesn't show, but it's still my go to App for reminders and practicing.

Any knot, shown in 3d in my pocket? Fantastic! It really is simple and intuitive, but not lacking in features. No ads, no internet connection. The only thing I could think of for improvement would be some way to suggest knots for a situation. I had to do a little googling to decide. That said, I could see that being a bit complicated to implement. Either way, solid app.

This is a fantastic app. From a practical standpoint it would be awesome if I could quickly search an application hierarchy to select which knot I should use. However, the graphics are great, viewing options (being able to SCRUB, reverse, zoom in, flip directions) and having a little history really makes this app a great value. Thanks (I own a hobby farm with horses)

Absolutely love this app! I bought this to practice knot tying (for fishing) with my kids, to refresh my climbing knots, and in general when waiting. The categories, adjustable speed, 3D viewing options, history/explainations are great. This a great portable resource and I really enjoy it. Excellent purchase, very happy to have the ad free version.

I really couldn't think of a single improvement to make to this app. Easy to use, easy to navigate, smart categorization of knots, and the animations are great. Much better than trying to learn from paper instructions. If you want to learn the ropes, you could knot find a better app.

I'm enjoying the app thus far and am happy with the descriptions and animations as it allows me to easily follow along. Ideally the animations could be a little cleaner looking but any issues I've noticed done cause problems with following along. I would like to see different theme options (primarily AMOLED black theme) but there is an adequate dark theme. Overall, this is a very good app and useful for people looking to practice their knot skills

Amazing app. Elegant, simple, and useful. I go camping, fishing, and own a boat. Already seeing knots I can use that are better than I had been using. Also, thanks for not requesting android permissions. If I had to to nit-pick, there are 2 things: 1. Adding a glossary for Knott Type would be very helpful. 2. Being able to pinch-zoom on the animation would be helpful. Nice Easter Eggs - Pinch zooming in then turn 2 fingers spins the knott - Swipe left/right below image to FF/RWD

I am new to climbing & have found this app incredibly useful for learning knots. What I enjoy most is the visual aid of watching the rope travel into the proper position as opposed to trying to understand it by looking at a few (still) pictures from a book. It has a lot of options for various knots for arborists, rock climbers, rescue teams, fishermen, etc. It explains the knots origin & what it is commonly used for. Highly recommended for beginners or just for fun if you enjoy knots!

This app is fantastic. I use it for my Pathfinder Club. The ability to flip and rotate makes visualising knots so easy. The categories are easy to follow and the extra information about each knot is interesting. Also my recent experience with the app support team was excellent. They are really helpful and respond to queries promptly. Thanks guys for an excellent app!

I love this app! Not only is it the best app for visualization of knots, it has the best features for connecting to similar and associated knots and their applications. All that and a company that cares about their end user. I had to contact the company and was incredibly touched by how much they cares that I was taken care of. Amazing all the way around!

This knit tying app is everything you are looking for to learn how to tie knots or demonstrate to others. The animations and options to stop, show down, flip around, and flip upside down are better than anything I've seen. They've been updating this app for years and I continue to add knots to my favorites collection. They even give a very brief history of each knot and it's recommended and NOT recommended uses for each knot.

I bought this app several years ago. It's the greatest. Keeps getting better every year. If I needed to, I'd buy again for sure.

Excellent tutorial for learning to tie knots! I had watched some YouTube videos to learn a certain knot, but still had difficulty learning it. I downloaded this app and learned it very quickly. There are many knots in this app. The ones you want to learn are likely to be in it, and you can explore others to learn. Well done!

A beautiful application. I was brought a knot book years ago that was useless because you had to hold it open to see the steps while learning the knot. Then I tried some knot cards that are good for reminders but limited in scope. Youtube and knot websites offer some excellent practice but it can be difficult to follow stagnated steps or fast videos. Knots 3D is way more practical. It looks great on my S6lite and I can either watch the whole knot at my speed or swipe up / down to move through each step. Plus, I can add it to my phone for when I'm out camping and need a refresher.

In a future update, I would like to see some kind of rating system for the knots that you can search and filter by. Each knot could receive a 1 to 5 or 1 to 10 rating based on 3 traits... Difficulty, security & ease of undoing. So for example, the basic overhand knot would get a 1 for difficulty, 10 for security and 1 for ease of undoing. That way a beginner could search for the easiest knots to practice on, or someone could quickly find the most secure knots that don't jam.

Absolutely love the app, but I have a request. I was favoriting knots to learn on my cell and then moved over to my Chromebook, but he favorites didn't carry over. Please add ability to sync my favorites with my Google account so I can practice using my Chromebook inside and then have for easy reference when hiking via cell. Also, if I switch phones then I won't have to re-favorite. :)

It's nicely done app and you can run it at whatever speed you want so you can study how it's done.

You are knot going to find a better resource than this app!!! The clarity, animations, and multi functionality of this app speaks for itself. Even so... I struggle with dimensionality in my brain.... Probably why I get OCD after I've mastered something! I had a book on knots years ago... I utterly failed with doing many. Now that I've lived long enough to see an app like this, I may master a few more! Thanks for knotting! P.S. Updates continue to amaze!!! Whatever you need is right here!

Best app for knots I have seen so far hands down. I've used it for years and it has just about everything. The 3d rendering and the ability to see the knot at each stage of tying makes even the most complex knots manageable. The only thing I wish this app had is more splices (eye splice and others) and maybe a slightly increased library for more obscure/niche knots. But it's fantastic anyways and has way more than the average person needs.
