Just showing a picture and then attaching written instructions is not for everybody. Some of the instructions are confusing and are hard for some to understand to complete the knot. I spend time in the Navy and learned on how to complete all those knots, and I had a hard time understanding the instructions.

Most nights do not have a pictorial one-two-three-four how to tie just a bunch of words that are not comprehensible to most people about how to tie a knot they need to rework the entire site so there's more user-friendly I worked 4 minutes trying to tie one night and could not make it happen.

Many knots miss good illustrations. One should have very good spatial thinking to understand how to tie a knot just by following textual guidelines.

Useful and easy. Explains what the knots are used for, how to do them in simple instructions. Images also are useful.

Not very much good for learning. Hardly any pictures.

Illustrations and pics are catered for advanced knot users. Not recommended. unstalled

It would be sweet if I could search by keyword in the subject line, and sort by the keyword in the subject line.

I already paid for the removal of the ads, and I still get ads? Why?

J. S. Oct 7, 2018

Only has a picture of the finished knot and not how to tie it. Only describes how to tie

Pretty small pictures otherwise comprehensive

I think it's improved my ability to tie knots for transporting things. today i used some of the knots to help a friend tie down a tarp on his camper for the winter storage. Very helpful guide. Some don't like it because it only showed the finished knot but, i thought it was well done. It's free!

I can get much praise for my individual ability and ease of having a great way with words. I can methodically utilize and beautifully design, orchastrate and cascade your visual acuity with perfectly timed grammatical vernacular of our current geographic collection of callocuialisms I possibly could be the first one to be able to find a way to alternate between the English language and it's klingon equivalent..... But really I'D RATHER KNOTT

Theres only 1 knot that ive been trying to learn for 3 years now and from what ive observed theres a big secret in it, im talking about the "running bowline" 1st pic a large half loop. 2nd pic tag end resting on 1st loop 3rd pic heres the big secret....... knot now 97% completed ...... hows the small knot made, no one can ever show me the running knot in pic 3 thats the big secret. 2 stars & uninstalled

Perhaps it's because I'm Polish, but I need more or better demo on actually tying the not. The more difficult the knot the harder to figure out. A moving demo of each knot would make this app even easy for Polocks!

I reviewed this app in more detail on my blog. Summary: some knots have directions, many don't. Informative but frustrating. Perhaps better if knots with directions and knots without were kept separate. Thanks for your time!

No step by step pics for all knots. Showing end knot doesn't help much.

Needs consistent format for each knot. Many do not have visual steps displayed to tie the knot. Interface is good and characteristic descriptions are very useful. Nice variety of knots in the library.

Nic. A. Jun 12, 2016

Needs more step by step pictures rather than description. Two pictures per knot is no where near enough to help the person learning to tue these knots. Would hate to see them make an app on how to drive a car! :)

Says improved support for tablets but only the splash screen is in landscape. Could do better but a good selection of knots. Not a pretty UI, like the other knot apps, feels really old.

Mek. A. May 11, 2014

Crap teaching compared to other knot apps. Doesn't show you how to... it tells you how to. Terrible for visual learners.

Jon. B. Aug 19, 2014

Im a visual learner and would very much prefer pictures. And if you're going to use verbal instructions, you should be more specific than what this guide offers

Joe. C. Oct 3, 2014

A picture of a completed knot isn't as useful as step-by-step pictures of making the knot. Those app has verbal instructions for most knots. A picture is worth a thousand words; this app is not very useful.

Rya. C. Mar 11, 2014

This is showing people how to stangle them selfs, shame on you.

Hai. T. Jul 7, 2014

It provides good information about the knots like history and their attributes it lacks a good guide to tie the knots.

jor. s. Aug 6, 2016

thanks for the app I'll only use once

Jo. A. Aug 2, 2014

Lists 4 'most important' knots and.. doesn't include all of them in the app. Instructions not consistent and difficult to follow. But nicely done and pleasure to look at indeed..
