Know Abacus

This a fantastic training app that teaches you how to use the abacus. Of all the abacus trainers, this is the only one I've found that teaches multiplication and division. The rest only cover addition and subtraction. My main criticism is the lack of floating point numbers, square & cube roots with trainers for all. Also animated and/or interactive tutorials and support for other kinds of abacus'. A free play mode with random problems would also be nice. 4/5 stars

I'm teaching my five-year-old (and myself) to use a soroban, and this app is just great. Thank you so much. Update: The ads really detract from the app, especially during teaching, yet I cannot seem to remove them. All I get is an error code. I have emailed the developer for assistance. Update: It was my wi-fi. For some reason, going onto mobile data allowed the in app purchases to work.

Progressive training, broken down by technique. First only problems where you directly add/subtract beads, then later introducing problems requiring the "little friend" (add 5, subtract the difference), and later the "big friend" (add ten, subtract the difference), and so on. Each section has a short lesson explaining the technique. Settings let you choose whether you can keep trying each problem until the answer is right, or if you get only one attempt to submit the right answer.

Very interesting and very adictive. Even when you are not on the app, you will find yourself doing it on a sideboard, table, shelf. And even in your head. That's nust after the fjrst three lessons. I have wanted to learn how to use an abacus for years. Now with the lockdown. I now have the time. Loving if.

So happy with this app. It taught me soroban from scratch with clear tutorials and lots of graded exercises and self tests. It's all about repetition. The interface is a bit clunky, having to scroll and go in and out of menus but of all the abacus apps I tried, this is the best for learning on, in my opinion.

Great app, teaches the Soroban in a very great manner. Just love it. Only having problems with using 3 fingers in the same time, does not always work, and I would love to have a strict mode, where only "in one go" movements are counted not plus 7 by doing plus 5 plus 2. With these things handled in the next update I would happily give 5 Stars (which I rarely do).

I have tried a number of Soroban apps and have been generally disappointed with them, but this one is by far the best. It has good tutorial notes, the explanations are clear, and there are numerous exercises each with its own teaching point.

Superb app! I thought I'd never be able to know how to operate an abacus... But it didn't only help me to use it correctly, it also has made my mind get a bit sharper with simple math... And have been dreadfully bad in math all my life! Two thumbs up 👍👍😊

I love this app! It is easy to use, the education is clear, the interface is clean and the ads are not intrusive. Excellent design. I wish other apps were like this one.

Best application for learning abacus. I downloaded it and only within 1 hour, I learnt basic addition and subtraction on abacus. I am very weak at mathematics and I have heard from my friends that abacus is a great thing for improving your maths. Thank you for such a great application.👍👍😀

You have made it very easy. Great overall experience. However, calculating without the machine needs quite a concentration. Trying to be an expert....Thanx for the app!

This app is awesome for any who wish to learn abacus irrespective of his or her age. It really boost your concentration power and help you to learn anything you want. Highly recommended from my end.

Best app very good for abacus beginners. I don't know about advanced but I highly recommend it for beginners because with the help of this app, you will learn basics about abacus very smoothly.

This app is genius. It takes some commitment, but in just 30 minutes, I was adding and subtracting 2 digit numbers with ease.

Nice, well organised with basic concepts, solved examples and practice section. If cover decimal problems and complicated examples will be very happy

Nice but maybe improve like add more colour options in abacus tool and maybe for making it engaging and easy by adding videos,and PDFs of questions to pracitice but overall nice app.

I am giving 4 stars because when I answerd to the questions , it was correct but it did not show me the next answer . Please.... check this ,If this problem is solved then I would like to give 5 stars .This is very interesting and a cool app!😀😀

It's clunky, and personally having to read a tutorial then try to figure it out is a huge turn off but it works and i learned something so kudos devs

I really feel good for the features this app provides, but it became the worst app because of the numbers of adds played after opening any thing.
