The app is really flaky. I can no longer get it to backup from my phone. Have tried everything.
if you have any disruption to the WiFi the back up cancels and doesn't resume. one drive worked seamlessly this does not. downloading files off the cloud to Android crashes more than it works. I've never retrieved a folder of files first time. when you are downloading if you touch any part of the screen it cancels the download edit: turns out the automated backup hasn't worked in three months. Edit: sharing files is via an e-mailed link (!) Which doesn't work. Don't buy
Disappointed. I felt reassured that having a cloud backup would give me peace of mind. Unfortunately I had occasion to restore my music files after they got corrupted on my laptop. Very few of the albums I tried to recover did so without errors. Sadly some of the albums that failed I had already got rid of the original cds, having made the decision to slim down my cd collection. Some were ok but most of them restored with errors. Disappointing, very disappointing.
Extremely unreliable backups. Went to restore my backup and over 800 photos couldn't be restored, because turns out they didn't upload properly and were online as 0 byte files. Customer service were stumped and their explanation was, jpegs can sometimes be temperamental. The most commonly used image format in the world?? Come on. I think its more likely this software is temperamental. Unreliable backups are useless so this software is useless. What a waste of money.
Wish you could change the time of the scheduled backup to a time to suit you and so that 2 separate devices don't try and backup at the same time. Very annoying. Also keeps failing on my tablet despite trying various measures such as clearing cache and deleting and reinstalling app. Otherwise very useful.
No "Support" or "Contact Us" buttons which would be really useful to me at the moment. Disappointed that you can't copy items and paste them somewhere else or copy them by dragging and dropping them outside the app either on a mobile device or a laptop. Really limited as to what you can do with it.
The app fails to update hourly as requested. The videos and pictures are never in last updated order so I have to search for them. It's very selective about which ones It's going to upload or not and I'm always missing the pics I want! The only way I can coaxed it to work is by keep uninstalling and reinstalling the app which then says 7 hours to upload my photos! Lots more trouble than it's worth!
Waste of time! I use Team Knowhow cloud for my laptop - works great. Download app to use for mobile back up and I can't even create a folder to start back up, it just says failed every time. As others have mentioned, no support/contact option on mobile app so have just uninstalled. Very frustrating!
Terribly slow backup, when it works... The 'automatic' mobile backup does not happen when scheduled. You have to open the app and do it manually. Organisation of backup files and interface is very clunky and slow. Shame as I wanted a UK based backup service.
Rubbish! I got Team Knowhow Cloud Storage after buying my Macbook from Curry's, but it really isn't worth it. The app stalls at the slightest break in communication & subsequently gives up. I can sit next to my Wi-Fi box and download films, but I can't back-up my phone because apparently there is no network?!? It transpires that this app has failed to back up my files for the last 8 months! Even uninstalling and reinstalling hasn't helped. Don't waste your time folks - life is too short!
Every time I run a Playlist on the Music Player, it stops when I get an incoming message. The problem is that the music doesn't then automatically start up again. Also, the email address provided to contact the developer doesn't work!
Total load of rubbish. Constantly crashes or stops during during back up and also very slow. Not worth the money at all however now I have several thousand photos backed up I'm kind of stuck using it otherwise will loose access to them.
Overall I like TKCloud Storage, however mobile back up needs a massive improvemet! I have exallent wifi connection however there are always "network errors" when attempting to back up. Its only 500 odd files to back up and it cant handle it. Ither than this, the actual "online drive" portion works fine
This app used to actually do what it says it does. It's now stopped working and you can't see the most up to date version of files or download them. It's a dreadful app, don't waste your time installing it. It's a shame that anybody can create such a rubbish app...
It's very unreliable when backing up. Does it some days and not others with no reason. I'm always uninstalling thus app as it often doesn't work. Now I can't even reinstall it. Don't waste your time and money
I've never understood my backup or how to use it. it should never be sold to elderly people. I darent even contact for advice as I will be baffled with info received. i wish i'd stuck with my harddrive-- at least I would understand where all my precious memories and music are/ were. selling a 5 year usage seemed like a good idea. i now discover that i have to pay a similar price each single year or my info is lost!!!
Knowhow back up rarely works, I have now found alternative solutions. You can never get help, it's difficult to use, and does not back up work as claimed. I got fed up, and it's an expensive add on if if it doesn't work!
Very very slow, keeps crashing, misses scheduled backups, looses internet connection when nothing else does, just very poor for the yearly subscription.
It seems to have become a bit sharper and snappy. Incorporating a full blown music player in the app would make this better
Downloading files so much easier now, no more blocking progress screen. quite liked the notifications when complete.
Regularly fails to backup. Indicates 'Server Error . Have to clear app cache .. uninstall then reinstall. Will be getting rid at next renewal date. Wouldn't recommend.
So far this app has not updated since june and just does not work. My data photos gave not updated or uploaded since the new app come in. Sort it out I have paid for this!!!!!!
bad UI, bad functionality, bad customer service. basically every other cloud storage provider gives a better service.
Awful system, absolutely hate it! It's hard to view files and difficult to download or delete them.
Fantastic. Easiest cloud storage app Ive came across when looling to back up and store my work. Lots of capacity and accessible.
The app just crashes when I open it and even when it used to work it didnt back anything up. Absolute con.
Moat of the time it works... Past two weeks it keeps failing to backup my mobile... Even after an update. All it says is error Or failed!
Nice idea but unfortunately transfer very slow. Showed me 8 days to backup my 500gb PC . My avrige network speed is 150mb/s. So I won't recommend it.
What a nightmare this app and probably the whole platform is! You share a file to the cloud, it uploads it (sometimes!) to 100% but when I open the folder on my laptop it's nowhere to be seen!! It's absolutely useless if you need it to work on files between your devices!
