KODAK VERITE Print&Scan

I have just reduced this rating from 4 to 2 stars. Previously I've never had a problem with the app. It's been serviceable. Recently with my operating systems update to Android 10, the app is now useless. I can not functionally print any photos. This is a very important feature that I rely on. If an update isn't forthcoming sooner than later, then I'll have no choice but to move on from Kodak printers.

5% of the time, it works great. But the time, effort, and frustrations involved with the other 95% of the times made this a bad experience. I've uninstalled and reinstalled this app several times as this is the only way I can get it to work. The buttons dont do anything with the exception of the "search" button which disconnects the printer from my phone and reconnects after a minute or so, only to disappointedly not work again. I wish I had never bought this printer. You let me down Kodak.

Got this app on my tablet and works great so installed it on my phone. Big mistake!! It will only give me an option to print photos. I am unable to print pdf or other documents from email. Have contacted Kodak help on a few occasions but help they have suggested does not address the specific problem. Worse than useless!! maybe it's just me? Hope other users have more success than me.

I love the printer (mostly), but I hate the app. I've had the same problems everyone else lists. Every single time I have to find the printer and ususlly can't. Google cloud print quit working, NFC works if I can connect to the printer. Air print serms to be ok, but I'm so frustrated with going through this every time. I'm looking for a new printer. 2021 update : I'm still using this printer, but primarily for copying and printing. I can no longer find the printer through the app.

Unreliable. They haven't updated it since 2018. Works one minute can't connect the next. Can register to cloud drive. Doesn't consistently upload to google drive. Takes too many attempts to connect to printer. I would not recommend, I would not give as a gift. I may give it away free to someone if I knew I'd never see them again.

I have had this printer for at least 2 years. I just printed and scan something less than 5 days a part. Now it is not connecting. It has taken well over an hour and this time it's still not connecting. I have done everything from unplugging to reconnecting it to my device again, making sure it's connected to Wi-Fi. I'm going to get a new printer. I can't have this happening every time I have to scan something or print from my computer.

Fails to link consistently from 3 different smart phones and a laptop. Will not print over wifi network or directly from a device. One day it will print then the next it will link then refuse. Will print the first page then no others. The ability to perform is inversely proportional to how fast I need a document. If I could afford a new ink cartridge disposal unit it would have been replaced long ago.

Sometimes it won't link up with my phone. I have to try several times and when it finally does link up it unlinks in the middle of printing. Also it is very limited on what you can print. No option to print documents from phone just pictures. I have to move documents to pictures to print them.

The app is terrible. Won't connect to newer Android phones. Printer isn't much better when it used to work about a year ago. We got it for random print jobs, and whenever we would go a short time without using it, then the ink would dry up. Costly expense! Now it won't even work on the newer Android phones. Total waste. Not worth a star! Return it if ya can!! Biggest waste of money ever!!!

After many tries it still refuses to connect to the Kodak verite 55 printer, it will just say that no printers were found. Both devices are connected to the same WiFi network, NFC doesn't work either and the app is ridiculously vague with any instructions. It will be faster to just buy a new printer.

Newest update rendered printer useless for wireless printing. I've been unable to connect my mobile to print wirelessly since this new update. It will tell me that this version is for an older android and to check for an update, but there is no other update to fix the problem that the last update caused. I depend on my printer to work with my mobile & now I'll have to buy a different printer because of the Kodak verite 55 plus no longer working wirelessly. My new one won't be a Kodak.

As another person stated, for older Android, and to update....no freaking update!!! Guess I'll have to get a HP printer now. I have always been able to print from my phone, but now all of a sudden, it will not print right. Keeps coming up with "error". Not a happy camper!!!!

Will not work with my android phone! App says it is meant for an older version of android, my phone will not connect to the printer at all, the app needs to be updated so that new versions pf Android can use also. I have a useless printer now.

I'm beginning to think it's the printer rather than just the app. It connected to my mac once and now the mac can't find the printer despite it being connected to wifi on the same network, air print enabled etc etc. So I download this app to use my phone and the printer still can't connect despite the phone being held directly above the printer. I'm sick of wasting money on printers that are just not up to the marketing bullsh*t they throw at you. Awful experience all round.

I would give this disgusting thing you call app for Kodak Verite a MINUS or NEGATIVE number of stars but that is not an option. THIS IS THE ONLY APP IN MY WHOLE COLLECTION OF APPS (BESIDES GOOGLE OR ANYTHING GOOGLE INCLUDING CHROME) THAT TURNS ON ALL PERMISSIONS WITHOUT PERMISSION EVEN DESPITE BLOCKING IT. I do not have another app that has been able to do this as they cannot modify MY device permissions, yet THIS ONE DOES!!! I find that extremely interesting and despite restricting it before.

I'm apparently one of the few who can get this app to work. It was super tedious to do so, and when the action of simply printing once you can finally sync up with the printer has gotten more complicated. This is not a great app. I'm thankful I was able to print from my phone this evening, but this is not a great app.

Now I'm out of ink, it's time to buy a new more usable printer, I've never been able to print email of my phone, and since getting a newer Android phone, it's now saying it the App was built for an older Android version so might not work. The last update for this app was Feb 2018!!! it's now the middle of 2019!!!! well overdue an update!!!

The app worked perfectly for me. All settings seem to work, wireless printing and scanning with clear color. Its a bit slow (6 prints per hour) but it is reasonable for being eco. Make sure you're on your printers "WiFi" (it will show no internet access, thats correct) I only downloaded the app because I could not connect my PC. I'll try connecting my PC tomorrow, I did not realize you need to be on Kodak wifi

I'm so disappointed in my verite 60. I used to be able to connect wirelessly before but now I have to use usb cable to my printer if I want fast printer. Takes me houursssss and many troubleshooting for my Samsung to connect wirelessly to it. I hardly ever use it anymore. Have to go back to my HP portable printer instead

would give zero stars if possible. Worst driver ever. Had to uninstall and reinstall several times to scan documents. and their tech support is a joke. They were not helpful one bit and suggests simple things that I already tried. The printer itself is ok but the driver is the worst. Overall I would spend a little more money for a better product.

I was having some of the same issues other reviewers were having. It worked for about a month then it refused to connect to wifi. As soon as I unplugged my wifi for 10 seconds and plugged it back in the printer finally connected.

I used to love this app. That is until the new android update. This app will NOT work with new version of android. What a bummer. I reached out to Kodak but did not get a response. I must be able to print from my phone so unfortunately I will be uninstalling this app. Which means a new printer as well. I have been a long time user of Kodak products. I can say I am pretty disappointed with their customer service in response to their customers.

Did everything the app told me to do to connect my mobile device. The printer recognized a mobile device connection but the app could not find the printer. Tried going to the settings in the app but the settings icon didn't work at all. Might as well not even be there

Why is it taking kodak this long despite the numerous complaints from users concerning wireless/mobile printing to patch this defects. Or they simply don't care? And they wonder why folks keep switching to their alternatives?😡😡😡 I have tried all tricks I can come but still can't connect this app to the printer itself

My phone and printer pair quickly. Easily scan documents to save on my phone. This is the only printer app I've used, so don't know how it compares to others. Haven't printed pictures or documents from this app yet.

When opening the app it says there is a "newer" version available but only opens up this same app. App will not find my printer. I keep having issues with this. I wish there was another way to change the settings on my printer without downloading an app.
