Komodo has won highly respected engine tournaments such as TCEC and CCT. On desktop computers, Komodo 10 is approximately +50 Elo stronger than Komodo 9 on one core according to the independent IPON test as well as our own internal testing, with the gain increasing with more cores, to about 60 Elo on 4 cores based on our own tests.
Komodo 10 is expected to obtain the top rating on the majority of the best-known chess engine rating lists. Previous versions of Komodo have won highly respected engine tournaments such as TCEC and CCT.

It's the best FREE engine you will get. Go for it 👍 And for those who think it does nothing let me tell you that you have to install a UCI compatible engine or you should have Chessbase (Fritz) to make it work. Once you have Chessbase or UCI compatible app you need to go to settings and change the engine and continue learning 😊
Could you please explain to me how to use the app cos I can just see a screen with links to other apps and a "configure " button. I don't know what to do
Couldn't open it at all...just gave me a screen that said "configure Komodo 10" with a bunch of settings. Whole app is a joke, dont waste your time
Appears installed, recognized by droidfish, but Couldn't get it to analyze or play.
Thank you for the engine. This engine tested working fine in Droidfish and Pbchess (vlasovsoft) interfaces.
The engine stops working after few moves on Droidfish and chess for all.

The app is very good for analysing But I need to know if I can adjust it's elo so that I could play against it in stockfish?
Please update this to the latest free version, Komodo 12.

Stops analysing at mate in 4 or less even though it says analysing but nothing apears on analysis table on droidfish. What should i do?

I've used many engines on Android & PC (Komodo, Stockfish, Houdini, Rybka, Hiarcs, Shredder, Fritz, Chiron, Fire, etc.) & some of the reviews here really annoy me. Many people whine that SF is free & stronger than K10 but overlook many important facts. For example: 1)The difference on virtually every well-controlled rating list is currently negligible. 2)K10/K11's style of play/analysis is much more customizable than SF8. 3)Every engine has its own style. Komodo is known for its strategic ability--especially in complex endgames. This is rare & invaluable for serious analysis. 4)Time controls & small changes in engine options can make big differences in results. (With an earlier version of Komodo, just changing time usage from 0 to -1 improved rapid & blitz strength dramatically.)
Komodo is best. Komodo play great on 64-bit device, one who hate Komodo, they should try on 64 bit device then they will know the greatness of Komodo.

It's great.
Recently since the last update Komodo is crashing during 3minutes+ 2 second increment, displaying "engine error, engine closes" please fix this, I also noticed that Komodo 8 crashes as well, so Maybe it's a problem with the DroidFish app, though stockfish hasn't crashed so far
its superb in 4 cores 2 reduction and 0 contemp. But there is an engine failure every 10 days.please remove the verification licensed check!thanks.

Great Engine works with a variety of systems...
The engine is strong but not always. In the beginning of the game it plays well but as the games goes on it plays commonplace moves below its highest rating. Perhaps a glitch.
