Komodo 13 is an improvement over all previous Komodo versions. Komodo supports multi-core computers and endgame tablebases. Komodo has won many highly respected engine tournaments multiple times, such as TCEC, CCT, and the World Computer Chess Championship, the World Blitz and the World Rapid championships.

The negative reviews complaining that Komodo 13's playing strength may be VERY slightly weaker than Stockfish 10's completely miss the point of how serious players use professional engines. Virtually any strong engine can beat any human. Tiny differences in absolute playing strength are irrelevant. An engine's value to a competitive player depends on its usefulness for ANALYSIS. K13 (with its unique MCTS feature) provides the best & most humanlike positional analysis I've seen on a mobile device
I had Komodo13 play in the Javiolo engine tournament app vs Stockfish 10, which it lost 1 game and drew 30+ games. Also vs other Stockfish9 derived engines Cfish, Corchess, Brainfish from Javiolo, of which it lost 1 vs Corchess and drew 40+ games. In Chess for Android GUI vs SF10, Komodo lost 12 games and won 4. Maybe there are optimal settings? Doesn't show strength or superiority over SF10 & for sure not SF11. It's still very strong, but free apps are equal or stronger. So what's the point?!?!
An impressive alternative to Stockfish 10. I've been here since Komodo 9 and I'd just like to say I rather enjoy the way your you have your options set up for the chess engine, and how the engine "thinks" in comparison to others. You have outdone yourselves 👍 Solid work. Keep up the good stuff!
No longer compatible with Acid Ape Chess running on Android 10 or higher despite the misleading description here. Developers not able to/prepared to make this compatible with Google Android engine restrictions in Android 10+. Don't waste your money. Google is killing Chess Engine development on Android.
Great engine! I bought the Komodo 13 as a support to the developer of this excellent engine. A great help to my chess study. Kudos to the developer. Looking forward for more improvements.
Great to see komodo continuing to be developed for Android, having a choice of top class engines is definitely a good thing.
some inaccuracies in simple endgame evaluation if no tablebases used (compared to stockfish 10). MCTS mode on gui feels little but laggy by means of getting output lines. But looks accurate evaluation! impressive. maybe will improve on 13.2!?
Can't run on Android 10 and up. Kindly make amends please. (Doesn't run on "Analyze This" app after update). Many thanks in advance.
It is better than stockfish 10 gives it a real challenge. Can someone please give me the settings to beat Stockfish 11 my settings give only a draw engines.
Very Strong Engine and the ajust skill level is nice addition for playing against Think a Komodo Gui should be next 😁 Anyways for people who say : waste money r crazy, I def don't mind paying for something to help suport the programers Only reason didn't buy older versions is Because couldn't ajust skill level
It is really weaker than stockfish 10. Stockfish is free and open source .and Komodo is charged too much money but still stockfish is better than Komodo 13. If you want to really solve this problem. Then give us update.
"Analyze This" update notes: Manually imported engines will NO longer work on Android 10 and above due to Android security restrictions that come into effect from Nov 2020. This is unfortunate 😕.
Worst experience. I bought this app but now chessbase cant use this, it shows not licensed and you need to buy it
Waste of money. It is not worth of even five rupees. It is weaker than majority of chess engines available free of cost in play store.
It's Komodo. Please update the app to 13.2 for personalities and MCTS improvements.

Ok to be fair Komodo 13.1 definitely lives with stockfish NN 12 and I've recently discovered that it also the new Lela alpha zero thinking process aswell, stockfish & Komodo both mind blowing but stockfish updates you for free,I've been investing in Komodo since release 8 and Komodo dragon and 14 are available now so where is this version for us Android users that have been happily paying 2 support Komodo development? That's all I'm saying 😊😊
Engine will not work when MCTS setting enabled
Used to be a very good engine but requires nnue update very soon. Where is komodo 14 app?

This is an entirely new breed of chess engine - Increadable!!!! Komodo 13 is like no other chess engine I have seen before. I almost stopped using Komodo and Stockfish because in short, they are too strong to be relevant. They are so far removed from human play and abilty. However this new Monti Carlo mode makes the engine play like a human, and at lower levels even makes classic human mistakes!! This is ground breaking! Now you can actually use Komodo to practice and analyse at the human level.
