Worst airline app ever! Other airline apps allow to put in reservations without having to sign up for their mileage program, but Korean Air requires signing up for SkyPass. OK, fine. It let me change and enter info at first but then locked seeing and changing things like contact info, seat assignments, and traveler info after I changed my mileage program from SkyPass to Delta (a partner airline in Sky Team). In fact, I can't even change back to SkyPass! Complete garbage app! 진짜 완전 쓰레기다! :/
For a reason I'll never understand, most airlines apps around the world are really bad. But I've always handled it for the flights sake. Here I'm uninstalling before even checking in due to the permissions required. Permissions to make phone calls are definitely not needed for push notifications. Also access to my contacts? No thank you.
Maddeningly frustrating. You have to go through multiple steps and jump through as many hoops to do anything with it. Even basic functions like changing a password is impossible. It's almost as if they intentionally made it a nightmare to use. I can't believe this is a major airline's app.
Horrible app. Every time you enter a field wrong when searching for reservation/ticket number/anything. Boarding passes only show the first time I load them. When I go back to get them again they never load so I am forced to take screenshots of them if I want to use it at the airport.
Not intuitive, lots of error messages without any way to understand what the problem is. Cannot perform lots of actions because of these "errors", and every time need to start inputting all the fields from scratch. Can not you save the passenger name fields, for example?
Kept saying it needed storage and phone access, even after it was given access. Also wants access to personal contacts. Why? Seems badly designed and built, but with it complaining it didn't have the permissions requested, it will not start.
Didn't really like this app. My family has been flying korean air since 2013 and we haven't had a problem until 2019. the website is pretty useless and I also tried calling the number but that did not work out well 😒 I finally got it to work after more than a week so please make it easier
The app suddenly switched from English to Korean and I do not see any option to switch back to English (maybe it's somewhere in the menu but it all in Korean, so I can not figure it out).
Unlike all other airline apps, this one does not work unless you have wifi/data... kind of defeats the purpose when trying to access your boarding pass in a foreign country when wifi isn't readily available.
It's really pretty good. I gave it "only" four *s stars because I don't like signing in every time. But the app works well, mostly practical, all the while finding accurate dates and prices.
App is terrible just like the website. Trying to make changes to my flight but can't do anything. Tried phoning them but stopped waiting after half an hour. This whole experience is making me rethink about booking with Korean Air in the future.
App still doesnt function properly, i always have to re enter my flight information to check my status, flight information is always atleast a week outdated for changes, loading icon constantly gets stuck overlaying on the screen, I have no option to select a seat or provide any special needs requirements
The app needs a major overhaul. Lots of glitches and frequent crashes. Sometimes, simply trying to login can be a headache.
Downloaded app as it recommended to do so for a $20 coupon promo. After completing choosing my flights and entering in the code for the offer, it lost all of my information.
Bad interface, and contacting them over phone is a joke, they canceled my flight and then lied about it saying all flights that day had been canceled but when i contacted there partner (DELTA) that the 4 flights were with that KA canceled i was informed that it was a lie and now there were no longer any seats available on those fights.. Its very poor business practices to cancel peoples flights that got the best deal.
Garbage. Impossible to check in to a flight on this app, which is the number one thing people want to do on an airline app. Can't check in via a web browser either. Avoid this joke of an airline.
Can't get past the app permission screen. The OK button is in the same spot as the home button. When I press the OK button it just takes me to the home screen of the phone. Put the OK button somewhere else.
Booking not possible, after insertion of payment datas no further redirection. Tried with 3 different cards. Same problem with the homepage. Pointless!
Use to use it and it was fine. Now it needs permissions for contacts and phone. SHAME ON THE DEVELOPERS. Rule of thumb, if the web page does not need such, then the app should not require it to run.
Needs too permissions. Don't understand why it needs phone and contact access when all other airline apps work perfectly without them.
Won't let you even get into the app without enabling all the permissions they ask for. Asks for way more permissions than other airline apps. Why do you need access to my contacts to use the app?
They rescheduled my connecting flight to before my first flight. When I call customer service all I get is a busy line. When Chase travel reached out they also got a busy line and disconnected.
i updated the app and it wont let me log in. even after resetting password. you have major bugs to fix if you want mobile user conversions.
As of now the app keeps asking for permissions which are given, but it won't recognize that it has them and keeps asking, after which it closes. Useless.
Doesn't make sense that it needs access to my contacts. Won't work unless you give it all of your contact information. Won't use it until that goes away.
Pages do not open. I've been a Skypass member for 6 years and a KAL app seemed like a good idea until I tried to use it. Nothing will open. Nice try KAL
Does not work. I allowed the 2 required settings Phone and Storage and complains it still doesnt have access and closes.
It works alright. Would be nice if it wasn't just a port of the mobile website honestly. One more thing, I booked a flight through Delta, and got redirected to check-in, which seemed to work as expected, except, there seems to be no option to receive the boarding pass as a PDF file, or a printing option. Maybe I missed it? I don't know.
