Honestly just recently started to use this app, it's great imo. The best way to learn the language it to be thrown into and environment where no one speaks nothing but Korean and it helps practice your speech. This app actually can check your pronunciation and that you can't find easily in other apps. I don't mind the ads because the app is free and they need to get their money somehow. Overall, a really pleasant first experience.
I love this app! It's very good when giving information, and teaching you how to speak and read Korean. It's honestly one of the best learning language apps I've use to help me learn Korean. However, I would like it if you add an option to turn off romanization. It's is indeed very helpful, but it can make us learners rely on it too often. Without romanization it can make us to rely more on the hangul, which would make us memorize and read hnagul much better.
This app gave me a superb experience and it needs way more recognition than others. It takes you through all levels real good with appropriate practice. The process of opening each level consequently one after the other as per your progress is great. Also, this app has much larger range of vocabulary (verbs, nouns, adjectives, conjunctions, numerals, etc.) + important and completely sorted grammar lessons. Only drawback is the phrase conversion, mind you, the app isn't meant for translation.
This app is really helpful for practicing my sentences! But the thing is a lot of grammatical errors are in the answers. I have some experience with Korean grammar and I know that the topic particle 는 follows a word that ends with a vowel and so on. Other people may not. And in the speaking section, it says I get the phrase wrong because the answer itself is wrong and not my speaking. I'm glad I caught these mistakes because it was really frustrating since I know I'm saying the phrases correctly
Do NOT use this app to learn Korean. As an intermediate learner, just from the previews on Google Play I could see errors. I thought this might just be in the previews, not the actual app, so I installed it to see for myself. More errors. I cannot stress this enough, DO NOT USE THIS APP! It does not teach Korean correctly and is definitely not reliable. Also the devs don't seem to be making an effort to correct these errors. Most of the speech they teach is not natural. Just use another app.
THIS APP IS SO GOOD! Although, there are a lot of ads, but it's fine because this is free. I highly recommend this app for people who wants to learn korean language. I really think that romanization really affect the progress of the student negatively. Please, have an option to turn on or off the romanized words. Thankk you!
한국어 한국에 공부했어. I found the app decent but needs work. It misinterprets what I say, the language sounds odd, as in I don't remember hearing actual Koreans speak like this, so when I reply in the final round with the way I was to ask/answer at a Korean University, (since there is no promt to read back) it just says I'm wrong, but it doesn't matter since the mic didn't pick it up correctly, anyway. I like the layout, and interaction. Voices need work.
As a native Korean speaker, I wouldn't recommend this app to my friends and family because there are so my typos and mistakes. I don't want them to pick up on bad habits, incorrect grammar and the wrong phonetics. Please have someone review and edit through the dialogue examples that you have. Don't dilute the app store with mediocre attempts at teaching the Korean language. It reflects poorly on Koreans to see how bad this app is.
My PROBLEM: the app doesn't recognise when I say numbers. Eg, 2달 is said 두 달 and it recognises this but doesn't mark it as correct. The videos taken from dramas and yt vids also aren't always grammatically correct.(Eg 에 not 의) If you're learning the Korean alphabet, this app will be difficult. But for people who have done a good amount of grammar, can read and understand fairly well, this app is really good to get your speaking and pronunciation up. Overall, like the app though it needs refining
its a good app to learn some korean phrases and its pronunciation. but i think it would be better if you guys remove the romanization, or at least put an option in the app to remove if the user wants to (i think it messes up my process of getting used to the hangul alphabet ><) overall i liked it a lot!
Great UI that makes me comfortable, easy to use, very helpful for learning daily conversation, easy to learn because of the detail. The coolest thing for me is speaking with bot and this is very helpful to check my pronouncation. To be honest, i did not expect that it would be good like this because of the similar app i've downloaded so far, this is perfect and the first impression given by this app is good 👍
this is not a bad app but so far I think that this needs an update. Because some pronunciations aren't right. I'm know I'm not that good in Korean but my Korean is perfectly fine for me to speak it, no.. for me to understand it. So hope you could fix this problem. Once you're done then I update my view view. And no one more thing the female voice of the robot I think is Mina I think she's sic. It needs needed an updation because her voice sound too weird.
This app is really helpful! It helps you with your pronunciation and you can also record it! I just hope there is a feature where you can slow down the sentences to better understand how it's pronounced. Nevertheless, this app is a must have!
I love love love this app! It makes it really easy for me to follow conversations since there is a meaning below it. It also helps me remember what i have learnt by giving exams and even allows me to record my voice so that I can check if there is any pronunciation mistake. I really love this app. Keep it up!
This korean learning app is really good. It helps you pronounce the words correctly because there's alot of words that you spell the same but doesn't have the same meaning. The ads aren't disturbing at all, I don't even notice them. It has a good micro so when you talk, it hears perfectly. I would suggest to learn hangeul (Korean Alphabet) before or else you will have a hard time recognizing some words but don't worry, hangeul is easy to learn~ I hope it will help me talk Korean 🍒 Worth it! ♥️
It doesn't give the learner the option to click on parts of a conversation to repeat it. You have to replay the whole conversation. I got frustrated after a short time and uninstalled. The speakers sound robotic.
The app could be great, but the voices are too robotic and unnatural and there are some occasions where I say the right thing but it translates it incorrectly. So three stars until these two things are fixed.
The speech parts don't properly pick up what I'm saying sometimes which is annoying and frustrating. It is helping me with korean phrases but it can only help but so much if it's not even registering what I'm saying. The translations can also be better for the general app.
This is such a good app! Its helped me a lot with korean. It's 100% free and you can learn simple phrases easily. I loved this app, you can talk with it, it has flash cards, it quizzes you. It's a really great app. I recommend it if you want to learn Korean quick and easy.
This app is great! I will give it 4 stars because it meets almost all of my Korean language learning apps standards, but if you want to learn just one word it will not let you, most people would drop this app for Google translate but gt (Google translate) isn't accurate. This app is more accurate than most apps, very helpful but maybe fix the "I want to learn just one word" thingy... But I do recommend!
SOO GOOD!! I can memorize a lot more from this app and these korean sentences are way more practical. I can actually use what I learn from this app straight away. Its not just words, you learn the full conversation and what others will say back to you as well. The best Korean language app so far that I have found and I have tried a lot.
Really helpful! It gives the chance to practice listening and speaking skills (both of them have always been my weaknesses while learning a language). I definitely recommend it :)
I'm loving it so far but could you please make an option to remove the romanization from the cards. I find myself reading them over the hangul and it would be helpful to hide them from the beginning. Overall great application.
I really appreciate the memorizing method, which is very helpful and good. I recommend all of the cudu apps for everyone who wishes to learn languages basics. You won't regret it I swear. Specially if you are like me, I have millions learning applications on my phone, none of them helped me out.
Great learning experience, it's so precise and makes sure everything is pronounced properly, great graphic designs and it's so easy to use and make learning korean fun and easy, learn alot from it in a very short period of time.....great app❤
I was originally excited to use this app but it didn't reach my expectations. The conversations are good, although the voices sound robotic. The flashcards part is pretty useless because they basically just show you the conversation again. The pronunciation feature is alright but sometimes the voice recognition is a bit dodgy. What is good are the videos, that would be good listening practise. I'd say this app still has work to do but it has potential.
