As someone who recently started learning Korean recently, I find this is just a bit too face paced for me, but I think it works out in my favor because it's helping me read much faster. I enjoy playing it and definitely helps me study! The only thing that bothers me is I turned off the music because it over powers the voice that says the words. The voice is very quiet compared to all the sound effects as well which can make the game a bit jarring for anyone who is audio sensitive like me. Also I chose the option to remove the romanitization but it still shows it in the review stage. It is my own shortcoming but I find myself trying to read the romanitization more than the 한글 and have to try to cover portions of that screen.

It's a great concept but my only problem with the app is that you can't choose your level, for example, beginner, intermediate, advanced... I spent weeks trying to get past the basics, as I'm an intermediate learner, but the process takes ages. I got bored of trying and so the app hasn't been opened in months. Please base the vocabulary on level instead of making us start from the absolute beginning.

This is a good way to learn Korean vocabulary. Pronunciation of the words are provided, along with the ability to turn off romanization. The game is quick, but the speed will help in reinforcing the reading ability of the user. My suggestion: if you're new to Hangul, play all the way through the dungeon with romanization on, at least once. Then go back after learning the characters to obtain the three stars.

Great game-based learning; easy to use without any guidance and works well. The 'fights' have a timer which means you have to get the answer correct and quickly which is fantastic for fast recall learning and with enough repetition, it stays in long term memory. This app is perfect for beginners and teaches you everyday words such as 'friend', 'acquaintance' and even 'colleague'. Have to progress farther and update. So far, solid app that I love and recommend as apart of my Korean learning!

I've just finished playing through the first dungeon, and I like this app! It's very good for increasing vocabulary and reading speed. Pros: -Game format makes it easy to set learning goals. -Introducing words in the same category together (family members, body parts, things you wear) creates connections and aids memorisation. Cons: -Audio quality is not great. Some words sound weird. -The pre-game shows how to romanise each character but does not teach pronounciation. Overall, very useful!

It's a great game to help people familiarize with words. I'm still not sure about what more it has to offer since I've been only playing it for an hour but I decided to right a review. This game seems promising I'd totally recommend it to people who would like to learn hangul vocabulary in a fun way. My only concern is when the game starts, I could not fast forward the monologue. It keeps on repeating unless I let it finish on its own.

This game is really fun and engaging. I just hope we had the option of turning down and up the time limit. Especially if you want to get better at reading Hangul. It would be better to be able to test yourself with the different time limits. But, overall I absolutely love this game. Thank you game designers 😄

It's a great app for learning Korean words! A ton of levels to complete that are all fun and easy, it helps you remember the vocabulary! Also, it has the Hangul chart for learning the korean alphabet as well as the romanization for beginners. This app is a must have for korean learners! :)

The timer goes so fast 😭😭 it makes me anxious. I wish there was an option in the settings to set how fast you want it to go. Aside of this , I LOVE THIS APP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I like that I can choose not to see the romanization. I love the storyline etc

Good app, works well and is a funny way to practice. In level 1, room 49 it should be 'steel' instead of 'steal' (철). And I wish you could change the sound level of the separate game sounds. The 'pling' is really loud compared to the pronunciation of the words.

It's a decent app, but some of the translations are wrong and there are a lot of laughably bad spelling mistakes. Also, once you reach a high level trying to get gems to buy gold is pointless: 300 gems for 150,000 gold is good at first, but once you are around level 100, you'll only be able to level up once.

All around pretty good for supplemental learning! I would be more engaged if I could play as a woman, though. I know a female knight is unconventional, but I think it would help with the experience for a lot of players I like the mini game as well by the way! Just found it!

It is great to practice Korean and learn vocabulary. There are some English spelling mistakes. Also, lately once I start playing the game there is a loud crackle sound randomly. It just happens once when I play the game and I use headphones.

It a nice game and learning application but i dont think it is good to learn random words. I wish there is a specific set of words like foods, things, directions, places etc. I wil be waiting for this update if there is.

Paid 15 to get more gems and had a whopping 150,000 gold in my inventory. Closed out of the game and it logged me into a completely new one, showing no progress whatsoever. No additional levels are available so Im having to start from the very beginning.

Absolutely loved the app. It finally helped me learn new words in a playful manner, so that it wasn't trying. Loved the background music, and simply every single post of it. Thank you for an amazing app.

Great for reading and translation comprehension. Having to read the hangul, translate it to English and chose the correct translation on a time limit teaches you to think fast. Find it helpful alongside my regular korean lessons in speeding up my reading of hangul. Wish there was an option to slow down the time limit for newbies (maybe gaining only 50% of coins?) I like that it includes words not in my other lessons (ie. Boy/girl friend and ex-boy/girl friend... Could come in handy 😏)

I love that it's a fighting game. I wish the background music didn't play when the new words are being introduced on the start screen. It's very hard to hear. But otherwise it's very fun so far!

Super fun and motivating to keep going! Only thing is that we are introduced to some pretty long words right at the beginning. Otherwise really good!

Sha. Jan 15, 2020

This really helped me learn some basic words in a fun way, if you're looking for quick, fun fixes of learning throughout the day in a unique style, I recommend this!

Great app. Author listened and made improvements. Don't rely on this alone to learn Korean, but an amazing, fun supplement to learning, and an awesome way to practice/learn Hangul.

곰we. Sep 10, 2020

It's the best app for beginners(in my opinion). It's a really fun app and you can learn korean while playing it! It alo has a nintendo or a pokemon vibe, which I personally like:3. But I just hope that there would also be added for hanguel reading.... I memorized alot of words while playing this app hehe. You should get this app if you want to learn korean in a fun way ㅋㅋㅋㅋ FIVE STARS 5

R. R. Sep 12, 2019

Would be really good if there was a self designed level where we could select from specific words in previous levels that we want to focus on.

Swa. R. Mar 13, 2019

i love the gameplay, but unfortunately there are a lot of spelling mistakes for the English words, it can be misleading for the user, so please fix them :)

Tim. B. Apr 26, 2021

Well built, old school flavored game, with a solid Korean vocabulary set and excellent voiced verbiage. One thing i do like about this game is that it teaches you conversational Korean. But can possibly be too much for pure beginners.

Bra. H. Apr 29, 2020

Very fun! It's good reinforcement for a lot of words. Kind of like fun vocab flashcards. A great addition to other resources!

A. G. u. Jan 28, 2019

I personally like that there is a short time to choose because it makes me feel like my mind is translating really fast which is helpful in real-life situations- but maybe levels of difficulty will be better for people who are newer to Korean?

Sky. O. Feb 12, 2020

Fun way to learn It's basically a vocab app but it turns learning vocab into a game. I also like that the game vocalized the pronunciation each time.

Be. B. Apr 27, 2020

Very fun but I wonder if the dialect is specific a certain region because some words are taught differently on duolingo as well as in my text books.
