I think it works very well, definitely easy to understand, you can review your vocabulary, and hear the words, great app!!
Great efficient app for learning vocabulary fast! Just wondering though, on the app description in the google play store it says the app contains 5000 words but one of the categories is "Top 3000". Does the app still have 5000 words to learn or only 3000?
Great app, has many vocab categories to choose from, option to make your own categories, you can study multiple cat. at the same time and the interlaping words don't repeat, the app suggests translations when creating cat., lets you choose if you want to review via choosing or typing the answer, has SRS. You can get by easily if you don't wanna pay for the full version, but given the fact that the lifetime version costs about as much as a better Latte, i think it's definitely worth buying.
I like the app, but not giving it 4 star as it keeps showing my using payment app service not available. Although I want to purchase premium
I have been using this app for a few weeks. It is by far the easiest app to use to learn Korean. I wish I head this app when I came to South Korea.
Love it! Easy to use, visually appealing interface. I like that it's easy to set up daily learning goals and notifies you at intervals to review learned vocabulary. It's really easy to create your own vocabulary as well if needed. The only thing that could make this better would be slowing down the pronunciation, especially for more complicated vocab.
It's a very good app. I have it configured so the "quizzes" are all the type-in-the-answer kind. I chose this app over anki because I like the user interface better. You can pick from different word banks and it also let's you choose to not learn a word if you already know it. There are two things that could improve: the number of words available (it has only 3000 at the moment), and being able to add pictures to the cards (or better yet, having *good quality* pictures already added).
This newest update changed the ratio when picking from multiple choices. The top answers have barely any room, so unless you click directly on the word it selects the one below it. Also, some of the words no longer include the present tense conjugation. I saw one that didn't have it, but in a multiple choice question as one of the answers it did. Please fix this.
Very good for quick memorization. I needed something I could do mindlessly while listening to podcasts, that was effective in helping to memorize words for the upcoming TOPIK, and that gave a sense of "winning" as you completed sections to help with motivation. This app provides all of that, so overall I am quite pleases. My biggest wish is that the cards included an option for example sentences, to make it less rote and more like learning a to communicate. Overall, I'd give it 4.5 stars!
Good but there are some things that could make the experience better. I bought the premium and although I'm satisfied for the most part, i keep wishing i could know the total amount of words in each category and in total in the app, plus how many of them I've memorized. With the current state of the app that's impossible. I also wish there was an option to activate/deactivate reviewing of memorized words, so that I could go through more new words in a row.
Pros: it has a full list of flash cards (3000 words). If you do want to add your own words, you can. The app also generally behaves like other apps (e.g. anki). Cons: the app recently introduced romanization, but romanization is frowned upon because there's no 1:1 direct relationship. A number of the romanizations are generally wrong and you can't disable them. The app also tends to notify you for a single word and then another word will be ready in another minute.
An amazing app for learning vocab. Downloaded it on a whim after no luck with ones with more downloads and its amazing. Has a lot of topics and im sure theyll add more too. They even have a night mode. Just does what it says on the tin. Ads are relatively frequent but not intrusive and theyre never videos just banner ones that you can skip after 5 seconds.
I really like that they put up an algorithm for me to continuously review the vocab, and the choices of words are really fun, also that the app gives you a graph on the time and words you have learned. In my honest opinion, I think the app should add a quize in order for me to really grasp the word and not easily forget it! I would recommend to anyone that is looking to be serious in this language. Don't give up because this app really helps!
This app is perfect for beginners and intermediates learning Korean! However, I suggest that if it's possible, you should add a brief explanation or description to every word for us to have more understanding of it. Also, please include the most used words, slangs or colloquials. Overall, this app is great. I highly recommend it👍
I plan to buy the premium version since I really like the app. But I tend to use 2 devices and noticed there really isn't a way to sync this... But if i use the same account where I purchased this then can I use the premium on both devices using back up and retrieve data? 😊
The app is great overall as it helps with not just learning but also memory. I just find it annoying that it asks you for how many words you want to learn but then later on you find out that you can only do 5. If I can only do 5 on the free version then just state that at the begining rather than later on.
It's good that it has the option for typing words because Korean spelling is tough. haha I wish it had separate modes for typing and multiple choice quizzes though (e.g. if I were to select multiple choice, it will be purely multiple choice. If I were to select typing only, then I'll be typing only) than having to select the mode in every question. For improvement, it would also be.nice to have the words used in sentences for better context as many words may mean the same but depend on context
i haven't been using it too long but I've used it enough to know how effective it is. The addition of the spaced repetition option is really clever. Thanks for the he developers for that. although it doesnt give a *really specific* definition of some terms, it defines terms in a way that beginners like me would understand. Best overall app for Korean vocab!!! if you know your way in the app, then it would be really useful for memorization :))
Good for vocab, but will not help on grammar and sentences. Throws words at you randomly so easier to memorize ... At least for me. Mileage may vary.
The app is great. It's really helpful for learning new words and easy to use. I paid for the full version and it is worth it if you're wanting to learn a lot of words in a short space of time. It would be great to add on a review for words that you already know, maybe as a category or added in with other reviews, just as a reminder as I may forget words if I don't revise them.
One of the few apps I've happily paid for! There are so many useful vocab words, and I love that I can create my own categories and add new words or just copy them from other categories. The search function is especially helpful by bringing up any possible words that include what you have typed in. I've tried so many vocab apps for Korean, and this is the best one I have found by far! My only suggestion would be to be able to reorder words in a list to that similar words can be grouped together.
I have a fair amount of experience with language apps so I didn't expect to be surprised, but this app is sooo great! There's audio, exercises are fun so its easy to strengthen your memory and you can practice typing/writing ! also the design looks so fresh ! I've had it for a short while and already love it ! If you're checking the comments to know if it's worth downloading here's your answer! I totally recommend it 💕💕
The app is really good and it does help me stay motivated to learn new words; however, I wish there are some minor changes like giving us the freedom to reorder the words within a list, so that we can learn some words in a certain order instead of the random way in which the words are introduced to us now, for example, the numbers list is all over the place, I have to learn how to write 22 before learning how to write 2.
The app is pretty good. But I wish it had an option to change the review time to whatever i like. And what's disappointing is the notifications doesn't work. it only works when i open the app. i hoping it would pop up when the time is up but it doesn't. gonna change the stars when i see progress o this matter.
I love that you can chose what to learn. It is a practical app and even though there are some challenges it provides a clear way to use it and learn a new language!
This app is practical and you can choose to learn a few words per day. The review part is my favorite when I don't wanna learn new words. The pronunciation is also helpful for memorizing the words and it's fluent not sectional.
