Trying to install on tablet running Android 8.1. App installs but freezes on homepage and there is no menu to navigate to epub files. Just get a spinner. I verified app permissions. Installation of app on my Android phone was successful but screen is too small to see the embedded videos. Appreciate any insight.
Its generally ok but the new version 18 is very poor. Keeps freezing amd cannot highlight text. Had such issues with bpriorv version. Ibreverted to v17 on laptop but can't on tablet. Disappointed.
6/19/2021 UPDATE: Okay!! Now it's works on the phone the way out works on the desktop. Finally. It plays video files inside epub books! Outstanding! Tried it out and changing rating from 1 to 5 stars. Thank you!! 1/10/2021. I had given the app 1 star. Cannot read epub files on Android. Completely useless and I only use it because a paid tutorial I bought said to use it because it has internal video files.
The app cannot open files (zipped fb2) as "open with". It makes a handler for zip files but does not show book contents. Update: I missed all the point. This app cannot open fb2 (anymore? or?...), only epub.
5 but only 3. This app needs some updates. Can't open the file directly. It crashes everytime. Images in popup link won't open as well.
After the updates, the app won't open anymore. Always crashes and closes every time I try to open a file.

The formula written in the author app is not showing properly in the reader app. Also, the question part does not send the score to the email listed by the reader.
Embedded audio and video files don't work anymore. That's literally the only reason I'm using this reader.
Any progess on the following issue? Created a file using Kotobee Author. But the epub file does not open on my phone using Kotobee Reader. It gives the message 'file corrupted or unsupported'.
Buggy, embedded image are not loading and widgets either not working or useful. Since the last update please fix this
Fail to play embedded video and sound clips within the file. Please fix!
I was able to open the file last week on my cellphone, but today, I was not able to open the same file. Though it works well on my computer.
Just got a new LG Stylo 6. Unable to pull up my books, however I didnt have this problem with the LG Stylo 4 or LG Stylo 5. Please help! Will change my rating when I can use it with my new phone.
Great app for students. Teachers can integrate this app for offline study. Hope you can support teachers to fully use kotobee author fully.
Hi, i just recently opened the file i had created free using the kotobee author..i had to import the file first under file manager.
I am referred to download this software from Google play store to open a book in epub format... this software is not getting installed on my android Samsung note 9 phone .... please help me . Regards ... Dr Ashish Gupta
thanks for creating this app for the kids to learn i thought I'm losing hope to learning home then i found this it's really really great for kids and you can even share the files from shareit 😀😀😀
After the update the app gets crashes. Please fix it because we need it badly since kotobee author needs kotobee reader to function well
Broken. Doesn't open files on your USB drive, can't browse folders.
This does not work on new Samsung A7 Tab launched recently, does not open the folder to view and open the Epub files.
All you need to read music from iPad, can also download sheet music or piano courses.
I can't open the epub file format on my phone.. it pop up error message doenst support what the heck!

The image and voice link are not functioning anymore after update when it is in moblie phone but in laptop it's ok.

It's a really good app... However there's only a few books that has my grade level in it (grade 10) and I can't open my documents in it but even so it's still great reading app it has a lot of features that can help you in learning such as the notes or notebook feature that can put your thoughts in the passages in the books.
