I would like to use Kstars lite for polar alignment. It would be a LOT easier with my Android phone than trying to keep my laptop warm so the battery doesn't drain in 20 minutes. But Kstars lite on Samsung S8+ just loads NGC object and stops. No error not msg, the app just ends.
Crashes on startup. Using galaxy A20 phone with latest software at time of review. It gets to 'Loading NGC/IC Objects (90%)' and then crashes to home screen. Please fix
Crashes on startup. Doesn't get past the loading of the NGC. Huawei Mate 20 Pro. Hoping that the issue is fixed as I have read great things about the Desktop app.
Crashes every time I try to open it on my pixel 3 XL. Running android 10, Dec 2019 patch. Glad I tried this before buying a raspberry pi (stellarmate) to control my telescope with. I guess I need a Windows PC and remote desktop if I want to use my phone.
Old KStars Lite works fine, this new simply closes just after start, so I can't compare them. P. S. Manual permission enabling fixes problems with loading.
App does not open and crashes. Samsung S10. Waste of time. Looks like this issue has been happening for some time and no fix.
For whoever complains is crashing on starting KStars. After installing it, before opening, go to Settings ---> Apps --> Permissions --> Storage --> Allow. Hope this helps.
Quite good but options menu will not work when no buttons are configured on mobiles using gestures also for moving between applications...
Worked, but now intro screen and object start loading, then crashes. Would love to see this app working again.
Crashed at startup 100% of the time. Uninstalled without getting to use the app.

I read good things about this app, but unfortunately it crashes during loading on my phone.
You need to allow everything, and then spend time getting to know its little ways. The Linux version is better but this is pretty good.
Cannot rate app as it installs but does nothing past install stage. Needs major fixing of app.

Like others, crashes while loading NGC on startup. Samsung Galaxy S9+, Android 9.
App works fine after you manually go to Settings-> App Info-> Enable Permissions. I wish some would quit complaining about an free and open-source project; I can control my telescope and cameras and mount on it, don't call it a waste of time. If anything, this app saves me an incredible amount of time! To those who can code: the project needs your help, you can make it better! To current dev team: requiring the app to request permissions will likely help solve problem for a majority of people.
