KTLA 5

Freezes every time you want to watch a video or live video and then crashes. This hasn't always been the case until recent months. It's becoming very frustrating. Works fine for video ads and non video articles though

Doesn't even load. It used to work on my fire stick now it is a waste of time. Tried it on tablet (android), tried to uninstall then reinstall...still it doesn't work at all!! Why have an app that doesn't work for almost everyone...I read reviews only after it stop working.

Why am I NOT able to watch live news?? After the add stops playing, it freezes!! I've delted it 3 times and reuploaded, but it continues to freeze. Very frustrating....please fix it.

Works okay but needs DVR functionality on live programs. Repeats commercials and music during breaks - becomes annoying so I switch to another service.

Frustrating to use. Every single time that I open the app, it tells me to review my push settings because one or more topics may have changed (I have them off). Often when I open a news story, it will show me only part of it, with a button that I need to click to continue reading. After clicking, the screen goes blank. Frustrating!

Decreased my number of stars from 5 to 3. The app worked great whether I was reading or streaming. Something changed and it is impossible for me to read stories while on the go. From the home page, I click on a headline to read the story. The article starts to load and will suddenly make the whole story disappear. I scroll all the way to the bottom hoping that it is a video or advertisement loading... No luck. What happened to my local news????

Many times the read more link does not properly work, many times you'll start reading an article and then all it wants to do is go to a white screen and you can't recycle it, as it then goes back to the story menu. it usually happens also on stories that you're really interested in it's extremely frustrating and I love KTLA channel 5 news but this app needs a lot of work

Whenever you opt to read a story the screen freezes so you can't scroll down. It happens when you hit an ad.

So far, the app works great. Not sure why other people are complaining about it. Direct TV doesn't have KTLA for some reason. Very happy with the app.

my complaint is as much as I love the reporters especially Eric Spillman and the other gentleman from the 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. noon timei this app need to be better developed visually the colors are beautiful but the only time I use it KTLA app is in the morning before I start my day and the black bar that states view live now is jumbled up together with the weahter bar so it overlaps into that bar and the graphics developers need to make the luve stream bar more pronounced

App wont load entire article,only the first paragraph. Very annoying. Uninstalled it. Please fix cuz it used to work. Hire new programmers please.

Definitely thinking about deleting this app. It used to be great but now it's impossible to read an article. BUT...when you get the notification for something live, you have to watch 1-2 minutes of ads first!!! Just stop it already! It's ridiculous!!!! Than by the time you get to the actual video to watch, it's already over or it doesn't load so...what do ya know...you have to watch the damn ads all over again to see the video. STOOOOOP!!!!!

Just a bad live streaming app. The video cuts out or freezes. The live stream from the app barely works. So you end clicking a link and switching to your internet browser to another barely smooth stream. Also I dont know if they can control what adds play during commercials but they play the same 6 depressing adds all the time, in the same order.

Freezes upon start, then I have to force quit app. It typically works only to freeze 1/3 through an article.

The KTLA Application frequently shuts down by itself. This is a recent occurrence. I'm using an Android tablet.

zero stars. this app has been crashing for everyone and yet the developers decide not to fix it. download the SDK and fix it for backwards compatibility and 4G LTE screening. Ever notice why it lasts a little longer on wifi? If your program director thinks this app is taking away from ratings, have them pull their head out of their rear end. This app keeps us connected until we can get home and watch. Fix it or ABC, NBC, or heaven forbid FOX takes your viewers away with apps that work!

There's a smattering of stories from the LA area to get a quick overview of what's going on in the news. However the stories repeat and often the same story is showing directly below where it's already been posted. The ads are frequently inappropriate featuring pictures of rodents and toilets with yellow liquid or other elimination related products. Reporting the add to Google does no good as they re-emerge on a daily basis.

App will not allow me to read the whole story. I see two little paragraphs and then the page is white.

The app keeps trying to float a video report over the article. It used to give you the choice to watch the video or read. (I do know how you read! Shocking, I know!) Even when I exit it, it comes right back, but is slow to load and covers what I'm trying to read!

Not a great app. Stories are repeated over and over as you scroll down. Many stories are by LA Times so if you click on them you cant read them unless you have a subscription. Why they don't use their own content I don't know. They're a news station afterall. It works for a quick glance of local news.

Can't get any news with my phone though the app? It's just a black blank screen. Is it on? You Roku???

Clicking on stories using my android phone only shows half the story. To actually see the full articles you have to go to the full web site. Refreshing doesn't help.

It's a fairly pointless app, if it's using chromium web access tech to access its own websites for news. What's the point? I'll just go to their website. Also their livestreaming doesn't work on some phones, which if it falls, it takes you to the site. So.... Yeah.... 🤷‍♂️

This app keeps freezing ... I've uninstalled a few times ... I give up! It's useless on a brand new Galaxy Flip3 5G

Unless you have taken a speed reading 📚 course, this app is USELESS because it's constantly updating causing you to scramble and look for the story that you were reading originally. The old version was far better, in which it allowed you to continually read a story. Please fix this problem for a better rating.

Better but still not good. When you click on a story or ad it either loads VERY slowly or not at all. The newsfeed shows each story numerous times. A developer needs to use the app to really see what we're seeing.
