KTM MY RIDE CONNECT

No battery drain issues for me on an S8 and a Note 9. Been using the app for over a year now and had no problems. The app does have a LOT of limitations though. I have no idea who the 390 can't have navigation like the 1290, but fine. You can only control Google Music. No way to control other music apps or podcast players. It would be really good to be able to control my podcasts. If Google Music isn't already running on the phone you can't start it. Other issues, but no characters left.

Doesn't work with YouTube Music. Requires Google Play Music, which does not offer the same features as YouTube Music. And when changing song or pausing, it always opens play music, which is unnecessary and annoying because it minimizes any running navigation apps. And it should be possible to sync the time from the phone to the bike because the internal clock of the bike is total garbage (looses half an hour in one month!)

I have a pixel 2xl running on android 11. None of the audio functions work. Audio calls not working too. What is point of having this app? It doesnt work at all. After paying so much money and mainly because of the instrument cluster, if that doesn't work, what is the use? Even TVS ntorq interface works much better than yours. Such a shame on you KTM. Hopeless.

I love riding with music and it's just convenient to have control over it via the handle bar switches of my 2018 duke 390. Now I can't because google decided to scrap their play music app. @KTM please add support to atleast one music player. The functionality of this app for me at its current state is totally useless. Incase you don't have any plans to do this please tell us upfront. It doesn't look good if you keep us in the dark.

"not connected" even though both phone and Bluetooth menu on bike state connected. no technical support from ktm via email or phone. bike is currently back at dealer. Edit: Dealer couldn't get it to work either. I eventually got connected without using the app. I have to repair the heasdset sometimes 4 or 5 times before it will start working. The app always shows 'not connected' even when it does work. It even works without the app installed. So i don't think this app actually does anything at all. And it requires A LOT of permissions.

Only works with play music, now after it's gone can't control the music because of this, had to clear the data of play music and restore it as it was before the final update. (Works fine for the time being) But this issue has to be fixed as soon as possible.

Went through the Set-up, bike and phone appeared to recognize each other. When I go into the bike's Nav menu, it tells me that they are not connected, and the App tells me the same thing. No ability to refresh, even unpaired and paired the two, didn't change anything. If they Producted Tested this App, it does NOT show. If KTM reads this, dump the app and offer Apple Carplay/Android Auto.

I own duke390(2018) version and I connect it with oneplus 5t. The issues are as follows 1: I cannot control music from apps other than Google Play Music (and that also stops working after sometime). Most of the people now stream music online, it's 2019. 2: My phone does not automatically connect with the console. Every time I have to open this app and wait for 20-30 seconds which is not convienent at all. 3: Clock runs slow on tft screen. Many users have reported similar issues. Please solve it.

This app shows Bluetooth not connected every single time but if in the phone's Bluetooth settings shows its connected, trust me it is! Don't trust the app. Note to KTM: Your bikes are so good! Please try to get this app to the same level. It ruins the whole experience. This app is a poor show!

v1. 6.2: Finally things seem to work like they should. Getting call notifications. v1. 6.0: SHAME on the ones managing this app at KTM for their incompetence at fixing the issues associated with this app. The TFT display and its connectivity feature is one of the major reasons we customers bought the bike and we're just left hanging dry with half of the features that were promised not functioning. How difficult is it to fix a bug in the app and to maintain a good brand image? It's shameful KTM

Concern now is Google Play Music is being discontinued so what happens after that? I ride a KTM 390 Duke 2018. EDIT:- Now Google play has finished here's how I still control music and get song title on my tft screen. Uninstall Google music from your phone. This will take the app back to how it was before it stopped working. This worked for me! KTM.....you REALLY need to update this app! EDIT: Doesn't connect to bike any more. Can still control music but app never connects so calls don't work!

Google Play Music has been discontinued, so the app doesn't work with music anymore... That was 90% of what I used it for! I tried it with YouTube Music (which replaced Google Play Music) and Spotify, and neither of them work... So frustrating!

The app doesn't work as advertised. Music control only works with Google Play Music which is a discontinued service. Obviously disappointing, and somewhat bizarre that KTM is selling motorcycles with a tech feature that's broken and essentially unsupported out of the box.

I still have not been able to get this to even connect with the bike, I cannot count how may times I have tried, Bluetooth off, then on, then make sure discoverable, then to be safe uninstall app, install again, still nothing? Using a Samsung, apparently meant to be easier with android? Nightmare 😑 just given up now!

It does not work with the latest Android 11. Doesnt show phone battery or phone signal. Also Google play music has stopped and is now as YouTube music so other apps like saavan/amazon music etc doesn't work. And even call received cannot be cut from the tft it shows it has disconnected but the call is still goin on. I own a OnePlus 8 and facing problem with such phone idk wt people with other cheaper phones might be facing. I urge ktm to invest in its development a bit and relase updates.

I just bought the KTM 1290 SAS 2019. I followed all the instructions. Installed the app, have it all permissions on my Pixel 4 XL. Connected the phone via Bluetooth to the bike. But still the app is telling me I'm not connected. I find it sad and frustrating that KTM put huge effort into marketing this product and little effort in making it work easily.

The App is not working properly, it's impossible to make it work and say that is connected with the motorbike. A Brand new 2020 1290 SAS. It's a shame. I hope the app is updated, and we can use any music player as Google Play Music will be discounted. 1290 SAR. Doesn't work at all. Shows as unconnected but displays phone signal strength!? No other functionality that i can see at all, so pretty useless in reality. Devs update this app. KTM you are marketing your machines advertising that there is functionality with this app, so get it sorted!

It's working on mine... 2018 Duke 390 software version 5V41 on Samsung S9+ Android 10. Sometimes it glitches and stops updating the song info, I just switch off/on the motorcycle and it works. Connects automatically, play pause next volume up down everything works, calls work no problem. Pressing play it launches the Samsung music player not google play music. On my Vivo V9 it doesn't connect, although it worked flawlessly on my old Galaxy A5 running Oreo and 5V39.

Used to be able to connect my old phone, new phone will connect but app doesn't recognise it and so can't enter code. What a waste of a feature. Never was able to use music features either even when connected.

Update Feb 2021 - On android 11 right now, and play music has been shifted to Youtube music and the app have no update since 2019.. Why the hell KTM os not supporting the app. Can pick up call and volume adjust to music but no battery, signal status and cannot go to next or previous song, nor can play pause. No support for Android Pie even when i've got the 2018/2019 Duke 390 in April 2019 and Android Q is on the way... Very very bad.

Absolutely awful. Just bought a 2019 SA-R. Downloaded app, paired. Shows phone is paired on dashboard - but the app won't connect. Tried uninstalling & reinstalling, still didn't work. Pretty angry that I bought the bike so I'd be able to use this, and it's a waste of time and money.
