What was wrong with the other version I just to love checking the news, weather etc now I find it extremely aggravating and now have to go to a different source for my news.
One of the worst news apps I've ever used. The notifications that show up lead you to unrelated articles. It's the same as their Facebook updates. Deleting the app and using another channel for reliable links. The website is horrible as well with disorganized need feeds and horribly organized. Hard to find relevant news articles.
Channel 2 weather is the only weather we will watch from home (over the air). While on the road we use our cell phone or tablet and the app is pretty much useless. A lot of drop outs or just a black screen. Since we only watch the weather, the ads are not distracting.
Way too many videos, not enough written stories. The old app was way better. I end up using other news apps now.
This is for the firestick app. I am very happy y'all made an app so I can watch the news again. The only things I would change are when you guys go to commercial you don't have to play the guy speaking every 30 seconds. Especially because that part is louder than the actual news segments. Also, sometimes the news is very quiet.
Toooooo much advertising!!!!! Also, tap on a notification but, does not go to the associated news story leaving wondering.
Update the app for Droid already! what does it matter with you people? Make sure it works this time I rely on the app for traffic and local news but as stated previously you click on an article and it doesn't take you to that article. It wants you to scroll through one at a time.
New version of the app is awful. I used to rely on this app for local news. However, after this update I now use krnv and kolo
Every headline you click on takes you to the same stupid story. EVERY HEADLINE. Major bugs and issues. I uninstalled this app a year ago because of this same issue and I thought i would give it another try but nope. Still the same issues. Uninstalling for good.
For news it is fine. 90% of notifications about weather or traffic never direct you to that actual info, just takes you to the main site. Very frustrating. Removing app.
Its Very Good, with a wide variety of general subjects. From Reno, to All Nevada, to top stories of Oregon, California, to top-level of the US Government. The biggest problem I had was there were too many ' instant updates', all day long!
Got the new app. Don't like it. Everything is video instead of written news.
Very little news. Mostly ads and filler Enquirer type articles. Most actual news articles rotate weekly not daily. One ad article for back pain repeates 5 times. Useless, better news apps avail.
Downloaded the "new" app 3 times. Allot says is download the new app. Worked really good for years before they started messing with it.
I had this app for quite a while and enjoyed it. After the "update" it doesn't work on Android. Waste of time. I deleted it.
THIS APP IS A JOKE!!! WHEN YOU GO TO THE TOP STORIES SECTION AND SELECT A STORY THE DUMB APP SHOWS YOU A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT STORY!! I HAVE HAD THIS APP FOR 3 YEARS AND COMPLAINED ABOUT THE ISSUE TO 2 NEWS DIRECTLY A NUMBER OF TIMES AND THEY NEVER FIXED THE PROBLEM WHAT A JOKE. I HAVE UNINSTALLED THE TRASH APP I WISH I COULD RATE WITH ZERO STARS BECAUSE IT TRULY DOES NOT DESERVE ONE!!!!!
Weather issues. All i care about is hearing about the weather, but every time i click on it the app closes. All the political BS comes if great though.
Have my settings to allow severe weather and breaking news reports only. Keep getting sports and other alerts. Uninstalling!
Very often sends notifactions for stories that minutes later are no longer avaible until hours later . Often happens to the more provacative stories, almost like a sales gimmick.
App is terrible. If you try to scroll down to open a story, it will only open the story at the top of the feed. I want to be able to click on the story that I want to read.
Will not work on Samsung phone
Very disappointed. The video is a week old with extremely outdated information about the Caldor fire.
Why do I have to get a new app when the old one worked good. When I do get the new app it is stuck on November 30 2021
Mostly old news, headlines take you to unrelated story's. Terrible news app.
KTVN Channel 2 News provides the best, most informative, detailed and reliable local news coverage in the United States. I highly recommend 2 News as the premier source of information for every Northern Nevadan.
Same storie pops up for different links and my app up to date
*10/12/20 - Good majority of the time if I click on a notification, either the article will go missing or it sends me to Chrome and states they can't locate the article I was looking for. *Update 01/10/21 - Have a few updates since writing original post and still nothing has changed. Actually, its gotten worse. Settings to decide what notifications you receive doesn't work. I still get all news notifications. I'm over it. I'll find someone else to get local and global news from.
