Got a new phone and had to reinstall apps. Was disappointed that KTVZ's app is now useless. Defective. How has no one addressed this yet? When your competition is trying to push you out, your product should work, be user-friendly and maintenance issues should be addressed timely with as little disruption as possible. Epic fail. Navigating menu/personal pref? Is that just a screen shot of menu? My news requires me to select items but what about breaking news since alerts is a failure too? Not worth it and its FREE!
Uninstalling because when I try to read the breaking news stories being sent to me, I am redirected to ads and other stories and can't just read the story that was sent. Otherwise it was informative and useful, but now has become too much work.
The news they choose to display is so biased and from sources with agendas. I have deleted and re-added several times due to occasionally needing local news but there are probably other spots without the bias.
I'm glad that this app is available. Prior to it, I only had access to Portland news and World news. I live in Central Oregon and was wondering if I would be able to know about local news and weather. I found this app while surfing for something else, and yes, I was happy to find it. I think Z21 needs to let people know that this app exists. I think there are a lot of us "Shut-Ins" , that would love to add this to our phones.
The local news is good, but it seems to be a direct link to CNN for anything other than local news. I have opened up 10 national news articles, and they have all been authored by CNN. Not my favorite news outlet. Diversify your news sources.
App rarely updates news articles. Same stories are there each time I opened it. Picking categories of which news I want is pretty cool. Needs improvement.
Repeat stories over and over. They act like there special and they don't tell you the whole story . Also they don't always fact check, they get there stories from outside news sources, like CNN and or fox and they don't fact check anything they just throw the stories on there news feed.
The commercial pop ups are super annoying! I liked it much better without them. It's the news , not an opportunity to sell something
The overhaul and new look of the app actually makes it harder for me to see the news Im interested in. I don't like it. I wish they would've left it alone.
Update: Back to being my goto app for local and national news, since they have added text back in to all the news stories. Thanks.
Cant watch any videos. Every time you try an ad pops up and then freezes
News Channel 21 is a great way for anyone that enjoys good accurate local news. I myself look forward to starting my day with News 21 at sunrise, getting ready for the day ahead.
They do a good job reporting on local news, but when it comes to world news they have a hard time filtering out their biased Democratic view in reports.
The push notification screen comes on and you can't accept or deny or move forward
Tried to watch several news videos ..just shows an ad.doesnt show the news story video or news story in print
Used to be ok but now new stories never load. There are still stories from 12/6
poor app. way too many videos. i prefer to read text.

Can't trust news stations these days but hear fox is legit

Drop down menu doesn't work on my Samsung Galaxy. I like the news they push out but I'd like to be able to navigate through the app, which I can't

Where do I begin, plain frustrating, about the app, videos either don't play (except ads, they seem to play fine) notifications for mundane trival local news stories while no notifications for major news events. Then let's talk about content, if you want your news biased on the side of the liberal left narrative this app (KTVZ) is for you, if you seek objective reporting of the news without biased left non partisan stories forget about it. You would think KTVZ would know its political market base in Central Oregon but this is probably why they don't add a viewer comment section to stories but this wouldn't fit their obvious left leaning agenda.
The new update is horrible. Don't like having to watch videos and not being able to read stories. Place videos in one place and written stories in another so we can choose which one we want.
Its great to be able to see local news easily, but the notifications have gotten more and more useless. It went from seeing top headlines randomly throughout the day, which I liked, to constantly popping up advertisements to watch the news on TV. These notifications are annoying as hell (some of them going off as early as 6 a.m., very loudly) and seem to have replaced actual headline notifications. I'll be turning those off until this problem is changed.
