kubic
kubic is a unique minimalist puzzle game based on M.C. Escher's art, impossible objects and other geometric designs. The object is to construct the goal configuration from a number of pieces.
Presented in a simple, clean design and minimal art, kubic is a minimal puzzle game with over 60 escher-esque puzzles.
When you click on a piece, it pops to the front-most layer, and may overlap other pieces. When you combine the pieces, they do not merge. If there are extra pieces, you may hide them behind the others. If you are stuck on a puzzle you can simply skip it and re-visit at a later time. Rest assured, all puzzles can be solved but beware, some puzzles are hard! Just take your time...
If you truly get stuck, there is a in-game hint system. You can use it to get started or even get the whole puzzle solved.
Tip: It helps to plan ahead and build figures from back to front.
Levels divided in 5 groups:
• Ocean (Blue) - "2D" Shapes are basically two-dimensional arrangements.
• Desert (Orange) - "3D" Shapes appear to be three-dimensional, but remember to think in two dimensions.
• Mountain (Purple) - "Convex/Concave" These optical illusions are inspired by Escher's famous "Convex and Concave" lithograph.
• Sky (Green) - "Up/Down" These optical illusions are inspired by the Penrose Triangle featured in Escher's lithograph "Waterfall”.
• Escher (Mixed) - Based on letter designs that spell out MC ESCHER.
• Print - Based on the printable magazine version of Convex-Concave puzzles.
Kubic is localized and supports 12 languages including English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (simplified), Chinese (traditional), Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish
Convex Concave puzzles from the Heaven and Earth game are included with permission. The puzzles were designed by Scott Kim, Puzzlemaster (scottkim.com), and the Heaven & Earth team.
Game supports Google Play Saved Games service for progress syncing between devices.

I love this game, but the developers need to know that the ads are too much. I'm looking at the puzzle, trying to figure it out, and an ad pops up. Fine. Then I have to wait twice for an x to pop up before I can go back to looking at the problem. Then, after 2 minutes of examining the puzzle, I get another ad. Every time. It completely disrupts my train of thought. This is very-much a game where I would like to spend 30 minutes staring at the screen without interruption.
it's a good thinking game but almost not worth the time to play because I get an ad like ever so many moves so right in the middle of thinking it stops what I'm doing. I'd be fine if it was after every level or after 30 mins of playing but not after what seems like 50 movements of the shapes.
I would give this 5 stars if they put ads between levels NOT ads while I'm working the puzzle. it's sad that decision was made to place pop up ads during game play. Let me know if you change this, I'll re-install it and give 5 stars.
I uninstalled after the second ad pop-up while trying to play a level. In between levels I could understand, but you lost me in less than 5 min.
Ok game, just installed. ADS right smack in the middle of what you're doing - not between levels, not even between moves - right in the middle. It's VERY irritating!
I paid for this in 2016. Replaying it now, I have to watch ads. Brilliant. Update: if you block the app's data connection, the ads will disappear.
Great game ruined by intrusive ads. Kinda hard to solve a puzzle when a stupid ad interrupts and distracts...Great job.
How are you going to make a puzzle game that requires concentration and then break it with ads every minute? You'd get more money from me enjoying the app rather than uninstalling it.
Great game but from 22-Chair onwards it is not accepting my solutions. I resolved the pop-ad problem by the disconnecting my device from the internet prior to playing the game.
Awesome game. A great challenge for anyone that loves a good puzzle 10/10 👍

This game would be great if it didn't run popup adds every five seconds that interrupt the game play. I get that adds bring in money but the frequency interrupts game play too much. Maybe try just running them between levels like most games.
Ads in the paid version of the game? Not a good choice, team. I **might** be okay with the banner ads at the bottom, but the full screen ads popping up unannounced mid-play is unacceptable. I have fond memories of convex/concave, but I won't put up with this.
Good Game! Terrible Ads you greedy crow. I've never had a game throw up ads - IN THE MIDDLE OF GAME PLAY. You have given up a higher calling and given in to greed.. too bad for you. UNINSTALLED...HA!

This should have a fantastic game, but sadly the developers dropped the ball and totally screwed up the controls making the game practically unavailable. I can see why it went free, if I paid for this I'd be very unhappy. I'm actually unhappy with it now, but at least I didn't invest any money into it.
I see a lot of people complaining about the controls, but that's part of the puzzle?? You have to figure out the correct order to place/tap them so that the ones you want are in "front." Really obvious that the order plays a part, and I find it gets quite challenging once you get past the fifth puzzle! :)
I have this on XboxOne, and its just as good. The controls are nice and the puzzles aren't too difficult. And that music playing in the background is AMAZING.
Controls are poor. I kept putting the blocks above or below one another, when I wanted them side by side. LG Access. Android 4.4.
I really enjoyed the game, but it started freezing up alot, making me force-close the app every few puzzles.
I hate the controls i hate that how i can't put a block behind a other block. But u still make a grat work whit graphics
The controls may be a little finicky to get used to, but they do their job well and straight forward. Over all a very good set of puzzles that I do recommend for people to check out
It's a shame. I was really enjoying this innovative puzzle game. This is possibly one of the most challenging mobile games I have played. However, the ads every two minutes have COMPLETELY ruined the experience of a tranquil game that rewards patience. I wish there was some way to pay to remove ads because I would readily do it. But, unfortunately, there seems to be no such option. If the developer could add this option, or clarify whether it exists, I and many others would be grateful.
