I've been listening (and supporting) KUER since returning to Salt Lake in 1993. Wkhenever I'm in my car or other space without television I'm listening to KUER. it's fair, balanced and thorough reporting are easily accessible on radio or streaming on my mobile phone. Keep it up KUER. KUER's ads are mercifully short, infrequent, and usually useful. They tell who is supporting the programming without trying to sell me something I'm not interested in. Thanks KUER.
The app frequently "cuts-out" for several seconds/minutes which makes it very annoying to me, to the point of not wanting to use it! In contrast, Spotify for eg., never cuts-out. I imagine it's some kind of buffering ...
You've got to have your NPR app. Otherwise, you get stuck in your driveway listening to the rest of the radio article you are listening to. This way, you can transfer it to your mobile and keep listening on your easy into the house until you get to your smart speaker and can play it there. Workouts too!
Randomly cuts out and stops playing, usually at the most interesting part of the story. I've uninstalling and reinstalling, but that hasn't fixed the problem.
Way better than the radio, because I have more choice so I can skip Doug Fabrizio's Radio West when he's diving deep in his anti-family values garbage and I can stay tuned in when he or others are inspiring me, educating me, and challenging me to think with a more open mind. Still, I'd prefer more Morning Edition or All Things Considered and a bit less Radio West in the app.
2021 update: still enjoying it! From two years ago: use the app frequently when I want to keep up with a story but I'm not at home or I don't have a radio handy. reliable and works very well.
I moved to Washington recently from Utah. I travel a lot around the country and have heard dozens of NPR affilliates in the areas where I have traveled. None holds a candle to the programming and consistent quality I get on KUER. The app makes it so easy for me to follow KUER no matter where I am. well done!
NPR Kuer is a defender against the dark elements of humanity. In these days of up being down and down being up, it is a life saver and protector of true knowledge.
Glad to have NPR wherever I go. Thank you!
The rate app pop up feature is super annoying, anytime theres a special event live broadcast, it always cuts out and has signal issues, it's very frustrating.
The app works, but doesn't look good doing so. The now playing notification is woefully out of date. Other parts of the app look like they were trying to imitate iOS.
Everything needed in one place, only issue is when using the built in alarm, will set system alarm to zero when I turn alarm off in app mother then that. Love it 100©
Nice app though stalls on occasion and you have to reset. The features and layout are functional and simple to use.
this app will frequently stop in the middle of airplay. Also, when I try to pause it, it will not stop playing unless I shut off the app.
Lots of ads and it leaves things on your phone. They may be news but I erase them as a nuisance. Busy, busy, busy.
It's pretty good. It doesn't operate correctly all the time regarding shutting it off and turn it on.
It meets my needs and is easyto use. It also links to many of my favorite broadcasts.
software for listening to old shows online is difficult to use and not dependable.
Works well, and I like the fact that it includes both live programming and text versions of stories.
Stops working after 15 min, constantly trying to connect, the streaming service online is bad too. Not worth downloading
This is the best radio app of any kind that I have seen and I have tried many, many radio apps. Excellent!
Excellent, easy-to-use and great reception. Thank you.
Updated my rating as it appears bugs have been fixed. Really enjoy having KUER available anytime!
Fine gateway both to the content KUER produces and to the shows it runs from others.
