This app not only shows you a visual of the products offered but does so in a very Aesthetically pleasing way that's easy on the eyes as its not too bright for the most part. Words are easy to read, menu is easy to navigate, BUT I wish they listed the calories on the app as they do on the website. I like the rewards program and the feature of scanning the barcode in the app connected to your card so you can go cardless, especially during covid. Great place, great app!
Issues I've had: 1. Sometimes it won't let me go to the order screen and I have to start over. 2. If you take too long to order on the order page the time will not update and you will have to start over. 3. Orders will say they did not go through when they actually did so duplicate orders happen very often. 4. Difficult to see ads and promotions, they go by extremely fast and there is no way to click on them or make them larger/read them, I have to screenshot to see them. Thanks for reading.
My orders never go through when I try ordering ahead - it will display an error and tell you to check back later, but if you opt to leave the page, there's no way to check your order if it errors out. The menu is also very non-intuitive, and it would benefit the addition of a small notes field (i.e. users can put 'less toppings' or allergy info).
The app is very easy to use. I have a few issues with the menu ui. It's a little jarring to look at compared to the rest of the app aswell as they're should be a search bar and also sometimes there's no food options in the app but there are in store. Otherwise, this app is wonderful and incredibly helpful. Oh yeah, and could y'all make it so that when the scroll banner at the top of the home screen is being held with a finger it stays there, Thanks.
The ordering process is fine. However, there's no in-app options to disable push notifications. You get all these notifications about deals but you can't even access them in the app. The notification is telling you to check your email to follow a link to enter your email. It's so needlessly long of a process that it has completely turned me off to using the app. It's uninstalled and I'll get boba elsewhere.
I have the same experience as the other reviewers. Ordering drinks works great. Trying to redeem discounts is beyond awful. They send push notifications to your phone about promotions, but you can't access them directly from the app. You have to find the related email and attempt to get it through a link there. My last email discount did not even work.
Works fine, but you can't search the menu. I guess I'm not ordering ahead. Also, there was a coupon yesterday that I didn't think was date sensitive, then today it's gone. I guess I'm not coming in for that either... also, you have to pay with your card through the app to get points. I don't like this, there should be a kind of membership ID scan you can do before paying in person if you want instead. I have reenter then delete my card from the app every single time I want to come.
1) It keeps crashing, 2) the order ahead button rarely works but I can't call in my order either, and 3) the menu NEVER has all the items that is shown in store. 4) The initial front page is set up nicely but the drop down menu looks rushed and the menu menu looks like no one tried to make it nice and easy to navigate. Please add in a search button. It would help trying to find drinks.
Resolution of the menu items are buggy and why is it so hard to find the calorie counts of these drinks? Sure you can Google it but it doesn't tell you how many calories the drinks are with the combination of size, boba, and sweetness differences. The app, just like every other food app, should tell you the calorie count of your order with your modifications.
It's useful to order ahead for the most part when it works. However there has been several instances where I tried to order something and it says the store was closed, but really was not. There was another instance where I couldn't order due to connection issues with the store and so I bought in person and tried to scan the receipt after, but the app won't accept it.
I find this app and the "rewards" to be an insult. No rewards at all on the first tier (white belt) and when you make it to the second tier (yellow belt), you have to spend over $80 to get a complimentary drink. And if your points expire, you get dropped down to white belt again. Why even bother? It feels more like a punishment system than a reward system.
Nice app, needlessly complex deals. I'll get a notification from the app that I have an email with a discount code. I then have to go to my inbox, find the email, click the link, enter my email address on the webpage that comes up, then go back to the app to use the discount. Why not just have the deals in the app like any other place does? This doesn't increase my likelihood of using the code or buying a tea. It actually decreases it because it's needlessly complicated.
So glad to have downloaded this app. The store I go to doesn't accept mobile pay but the app is an easy way around that. I haven't had any issues placing my orders or viewing receipts. The UI isn't the best but it's easy to navigate. I do wish it was ordering drinks was a bit more customizable. Overall pleasant experience with this app.
Great for ordering drinks - notifications lacking. I have used this app a gew times to order drinks and its worked perfectly. However, I frequently get notifications for deals or coupons and when I click them it opens the app with the message/offer no where to be found. I cant even see the whole notification message, just part of it, but they are always teasing something and I never get to see it. I love boba! Please let me see the deal!
Please fix the app. 1) The order ahead button doesn't work. How can we order ahead and earn points?! 2) The advertising message on top flies by so quickly. Can you make it not scroll to the next ad? We can manually scroll through as needed. 3) Often times when there's a promotion I'd go in to the store to make a purchase. But most of the times the store's system is down and unable to process it. I end up losing out on the deal and pay full price. Is there really a glitch in the system?? 🤔🧐
I've had this app for about 2yr, get tea every other week or so, and have yet to earn enough bubbles for a reward. Moved up to yellow belt but there's no noticeable difference between the belts, they don't even make it easier to earn bubbles. Also when I try to download rewards from my emails to the app it frequently doesn't show up on the app. And when there are promotions like a recent one where you could get $4 credit for buying a drink. Used app to purchase drinks 2x and never got credit.
Ordering thru this app is hit or miss. Sometimes the drinks just aren't ready, or in some cases aren't available at all even tho the app lists them, takes an order for them, and charges you. There's no way to get any adjustments, refunds or any customer service at all via the app. You just put in your order, get charged, and hope you get the drinks you ordered at the scheduled time.
Online ordering is convenient, but discounts are not. App pops up notification telling you to check email to opt in. So you have to go to email, click a link, then enter your email address to opt in, then it says the offer was "automatically" added to the app (clearly it wasn't) Why can't offers just be sent to app? Why make customers go through so much effort and waste so much time?
Having multiple issues in the last month. I placed an order and the app duplicated it and I was billed twice. I got a refund, but it's just a waste of time reaching out and asking for it. Also, I ordered ahead and when I got to the store, it was closed. They should keep updated the app so the clients don't waste time ordering and going to the store to find out it's closed. The worst part is that I got charged for that and now I'm requesting once again a refund.
For the one order I placed it was fine, how ever the service through which they do payments and rewards programs, LevelUp, found that the credit card I provided was used for a fraudulent 300 dollar charge. Don't attach your card if you use this app. Fortunately the problems were resolved quickly. Edit: a word
Got $3 off from t-mobile. Cashi g this coupon took forever as I sat waiting in the store. They do not let you scan coupons like normal and force you to download their app, make an account, and add your credit card to the app to pay. Finally, the deal breaker was that when you add you credit card, by default, they will charge to $25 to load credits onto your account. This is a scam. You can opt out of this but there's little explanation. I will not go to Kung Fu Tea again.
The app doesn't work. I add items to my order and when I go to check out it gives me an error message and only gives me the option to clear the cart. Something about the date/time not being available (even though I never set the time). My family and I really love King Fu Tea but this app is seriously broken. It's particularly bad bc we're not comfortable waiting in line during the COVID pandemic. It's unfortunately preventing us from spending money with them.
The drink I want to order is not on the online menu, but it is in the store menu. Kind of defeats the purpose of the app, no? This wouldn't be an issue if I had a code to scan at the register so I can get points. Otherwise, this app works the way it should (that I know of).
I'm haven't had much trouble ordering ahead. Sometimes it says closed before they're actually closed to give a cutoff time to finish existing orders before closing up. It is kinda confusing to have promotions appearing both in app and requiring email sign up, but I check my email before ordering. My gripe is that the app doesn't always have everything they offer in store, and I really wish I could see expiration dates on earned bubbles. Number of bubbles needed to upgrade keeps fluctuating.
