We have received some complaints regarding not receiving the confirmation code on sign-up. Upon our investigation, we have found out that some carriers are blocking the text messages containing the verification code for various reasons.
Here are some of the reasons why some users do not receive their verification codes:
- The text message is filtered by carrier as spam
- The user's plan does not allow receiving messages from short codes
(e.g. pre-paid phones, no-credit check plans, etc)
- The user opted out from receiving text message from the short code used by our system
Our system uses a random short code assigned by the service provider, so if your plan does allow receiving text messages from short-codes, then you might receive the code after a couple of tries (please try in different days).

This app is really lame. I can't imagine that it has been coded by professionals. Besides the ridiculous UI, the UX is poorly designed and confusing. The app is poorly used by the restaurant either way, and you end up with useless time approximation that could be 4 hours then dropping to 30mn but actually 1 hour. Either way, this app does not even seem to work anymore, I can't even get the list of restaurants. Pointless.
When trying to create an account, it texts you a confirmation code. You are required to enter it into the app twice. The first time, it automatically adds a dash. The second time, it won't let you add a dash. Since it never matches, you can never add an account.
I'm not sure why others are complaining, unless there was an update. Verification code was texted immediately and I was able to checkin online in less than a minute from downloading the app. Glad I did, because it is a 35 minute wait. Love this place!
I can't create an account because the app cannot send a confirmation code for me to confirm and finalize it. The app currently is a waste of space on my phone. Hoping they will fix these issues so customers can actually use it.
For some strange reason when I try to sign up with my Samsung phone it wouldn't send me the confirmation code, I had resend the code 3 times and still no text. But when I signed up with my Apple phone it was easy and simple. I just don't understand why it doesn't work with a Android phone. Kinda stupid, people with Android phone wanna eat too, you know.
This app is not to be confused with the Kura Sushi Rewards program, so don't give your info if your intention was to sign up for the Rewards program. Also, you're probably better off just showing up early in person and checking in that way.
Fix your App if you want to stay in business. I tried ordering using this phone app twice to avoid going inside, the phone app didn't work the first time and the second time the app didn't have carryout option at checkout after wasting 10 minutes entering orders. Should fire your stupid app programmer.
Notifications don't work. Android P user, app was stuck on splash screen. Reinstalled and still the same. App finally showed up after trying many tries.
Not working. App recognizes my name and states that I have successfully signed in. After prompt, I am unable to click on any screen buttons. Totally unresponsive.
Will not allow login. Says password is incorrect so I reset. But after It would still not allow login. Have to have app to get in restaurant but does not work. Going elsewhere
App does what is says. Just kind of lame that app does not incorporate rewards program. Actually wish they had rewards program app instead od hunting down a conveluted way to get and use points.
Was told to make a reservation via the app by restaurant employee and the website. But the app doesn't allow reservations; only to "check-in" like you would at the restaurant.
Never received confirmation code to create account. Tried multiple times. **Edit** I did finally get a verification code. It just took forever.

Broken. This app is currently not sending the confirmation code to create an account. Tried on two phones with two phone numbers.
Doesn't Work! Just kept glitching when I attempted to enter my code. Did this 6 times before I just deleted it.
The app will not refresh and show locations, which doesn't even allow you to check in.

Still no confirmation code to confirm my account, it's a good thing I've always wanted to try the sushi at Kura's. If I didn't I would of deleted this app by now.
I have an android and it worked perfectly. These people on here giving 1 star must not know how to work their phones. Now time to go crush some nigiri 🍣
Doesn't send an activation code to my Galaxy S20+. Could not sign up.
got verification code but couldn't proceed to create account...it just freezes up
Couldnt even log in because they never sent the confirmation code.
App updated. Now freezes. Does not work. Sad
Unable to log in and to press the forgot password function.
I made a reservation and once I arrived, I was told by a waitress that the system was down and they are not using it right now. And had a terrible attitude which ruined my Day!

No use in having it if it doesn't really work. Got there and had to check in and wait another 45 min
Downloaded this app because they wouldn't allow you to check in without it. We had to wait outside and turn on location services. ok. But since it's winter we walked back to the car to stay warm until we were called. It kept sending texts telling us to come back and wait outside the doors. ON A COLD WINTER DAY. Besides being creepy that it tracks how far you are away from the restaraunt, it forces large groups of people to wait near each other outside the restaurant during Covid. Horrible idea.
