I took the first picture and it have me 3 different strains took another picture of the same bud it gave me another 3 strains completely different from the first.not trashing the app I still like the ideal of this app and will keep it and use it from time to time hopley it gets better and like 90% accuracy right now it's at 40% I feel.
Positives: It's quite accurate, mostly guessing white widow or G13 (I believe I have that cross), and it's super consistent on THC% (around expected). Negatives: Without direct sunlight, IDs seem random. I also can't get the past photo function to work, it seems to get stuck in an infinite loop or waiting forever every time.
Same strain, same picture pose. Every result gives different names. Needs work. Great idea tho
About 99% of the time this app doesn't even recognize what is in the picture let alone the characteristics for a strain
You can't watch the video for the app.i took a picture of the same bud 3 times and it told me 3 different things it doesn't work like it says does. When I tap on the video It wants me to fill out a bunch of unnecessary personal information. Needs to be fixed......
Cant give it one star because it did give 67% chance of durban poison for my cherry pie, which is close. But that was it 80% of my pictures werent accepted. And out of the 4 different strains that were accepted it chose the same strain as its top choice for 3 and 2nd pick for one, it wasn't any of them. The database seems like it still needs more sample data, it would be nice if we as users could input a strain name or lineage if it was know.
While it may be 70%accurate identifying the 20 strains in the algorithm, with the amount of new hybrids being created daily an app of this kind is decades away from being able to identify every strain out there. We would have to have some form of smell technology that could detect the terpene profile or a way to analyze the dna to accurately identify every strain that exists. I like the thought behind it though.
Working really well. At first three months or so ago it wouldn't detect. But now it's working perfectly!. A really fantastic idea. If you have random bits of green the app will identify all. 10/10
As long as you take a clear picture it works just fine I have no issue I love the app
Saw the app used on a known chef's YouTube page and after downloading and trying the app, it will not recognize any pic no matter the angle. I've even tried a pic from my gallery that I took and even a screen shot and the app didn't recognize. Concept is great but might not be 100% ready

It's pretty good it scans and tells you what it might be not actually what it is
Ok but always comes up blured image then takes 2 different photos of same bud and calls it 2 different strains no add function so if we know the strain we can't tell it which needs to be added and need to be able to take a photo of the plant at all stages not just the buds
The Google lens works better than this. This is like a demo app with less capability of finding strains. When I used Google lens, it search the exact strain.
the app doesn't recognise the kush from the first glance. I've tried 3 different sorts, only one was defined. But the idea is great! waiting for an improved version.
I just want there to be more strains than the few on here I would also like there to be a flashlight option to help with the scans
Really cool at first, however, every image taken it tells me its too blurry or not enough light. That was quite disappointing. The pic quality was REALLY good...so I do not know why it kept telling me to retake the photos...
Works pretty well when you finally get a clear picture had a 82% probability one thing you could add is possible other similar strains along with the one the app is saying it is maybe if it says a low number probability... Update: app said strain was white widow and it's not
Wow this app actually works great. You just need to take a good focused picture to recognize kush inside the image. I was looking for the same thing.
It only says certain strains and I if you scan the same bud 3 different times you get 3 different names. If the results stayed the same it'll be more believable...
Don't waist your time downloading. Spent 20 minutes after download taking picture after picture because it kept saying the picture was blurry. The picture was not blurry at all. Uninstalling right now..
Gave me two different reading. Had to constantly take pictures just so it can analyze the pictures.
This app redefines the meaning of "smart" when it comes to phones. I'm pretty certain someday my phone will also smoke pot for me :) awesome app in any case!
I'm so glad thus app is free.. if I had to pay for this, I would've been furious and demanded a refund.. Basically, it doesn't work. Don't waste your time on this one.
I love the app accept that I don't have a flash or a light with the camera and it won't let you use your own camera so that's only not beneficial part of the app
Every strain i scanned i got the same result. Great idea but it doesn't work.
Doesn't work. Took photos from multiple angles, great lighting with neutral background. Claimed was blurred or unrecognised. Unfortunate as it is a really cool concept.
