KY3 News

Please stop the ads that interfere with my reading. They are loud and of no interest to me. I was just interrupted by a woman's voice about Silverado trucks. I couldn't find the ad to shut it up. I appreciate Ron Hearst's weather alerts, but they have become so loud they interrupt phone calls and videos. I had to disable that app because I couldn't find where to lower the volume. KY3 is my favorite, but now it's getting irritating.

When I'm scrolling through the news every single time I tap on a story it takes me back to the top of the list of headlines. It NEVER goes back to where I was in the list. I was using KSPR and had to change to this one. KSPR did not do this except after a length of time to do a refresh. Not wanting to use the other local station but if it stays this way I may have to try it.

Notification settings do nothing. Also tapping a notification doesn't take you to the story it's about. This happens to everyone I've asked. Maybe they could fix it if they updated the app more often. I checked it's been almost 4 months. Edit still have issues. I now get every notification twice.

This app is great but they don't give enough options to choose the types of notifications you want to receive and I am getting notification sometimes every 3 min. It's excessive and would like to be able to back off on the amount of them I receive and type...really just want notified of really important news and weather but not every little detail every 3 minutes!

Too many ads. I just download ed app yesterday. I am going too delete today. Very disappointed. I wanted to communicate with ky3 but apparently you prefer to sell me something instead.

I'd give it 5 stars except for video playback. I'm sure it's great to see HD quality, but those of us in rural MO need to be able to change the playback to the lowest available. Your weather app is brutal, and I uninstalled because it can take 2 or 3 minutes to buffer a 50+ second video, if it will play at all. Please add this feature to both apps or post to YouTube where the rest of us can watch. Otherwise, great news service and vital weather service.

Worst app I have EVER used. The green circle keeps going around and around and around.

Not user friendly. Whenever I get a notification, I tap on it and it then shows a radar map of the weather and it's dated May 14th. You'd think that after tapping the notification bar it would go straight to the real time reason for the notification.

The Ky3 News app has never been a well functioning app, but the news is worthy. Hopefully those businesses paying for advertising on here aren't paying much. The initial mandatory advertisement is frustrating. The app requires the user to re-scroll every story after selecting a story and exiting or backing out. The videos don't often load.

All I get is ads when I click on the news button... I even reinstalled to see if that was the problem. Nope. Update: Jan. 2019. It seemed to be working again like normal, but it won't allow me to get the school closings and now it often closes with an error message.

Frankly had to use this junk after the KSPR app people decided to stop updating the news on it and direct everyone to this piece of junk. It doesn't update stories even if a breaking news notification pops up. It freezes half the time. News stories are only briefly gone over. Over all lousy app. Probably will delete as this is junk unless they fix the problems. Maybe whoever ran the KSPR app should have been put on this app right away.

While connected to hs internet it still takes 18 minutes to get a screen then it has multiple options just to find what the notification you sent me was about. I'm deleting the app from my android phone, if you get a faster and better one i will consider returning. Thanks for listening.

More times that not when I click on a notification to read a story or article, I get the message "the story you requested could not be loaded." Which is frustrating as that notification is now gone and I now have to go look up the article elsewhere. I would like to choose what I get notified on as well.

There is absolutely no local news on this app at all. It used to be my go to app for local news. This app used to be a 5. If I could give it less than 1, I would. No matter where you click in the app, there are only misleading story links that take you to unsafe junk news websites. Update: Thank you for fixing this app.

Was good till October 26th. Now when I click on a news story In text I get hit with video advertising. Very annoying. I expect it on some video news occasionally but not the way it is now. I used this app 4 to 5 times daily now it's uninstalled.

Low budget, clunky app. Alert gets sent for breaking news and then all that loads is an ad. Kind of a joke. In a world of online news, drop a few more bucks into getting an app that runs better. Poor layout too.

I have tried for SEVERAL months to upload my photos on the ",choose file" page, after entering all of my information, when I click "upload .jpg, NOTHING HAPPENS. VERY annoying !!! Kindly fix this part of your app...Thank You...

Treble, old, old news, not updated. Weather is same report as thurs, report, totally not updated. Please go back to old format, it was successful, easy to read, and today's news. I'm disappointed. Please, please.

It used to work great. But the last 2 weeks I've had to uninstall then re-install about once or twice EVERY DAY just to read news alerts or news in general. FRUSTRATING!

Used to be a great source for weather, not so, anymore. The forecast has no percentages of rain for overnight. They're more interested in ads than a good service. Good things don't last forever, just 35 years.

This app does not work most of the time and hasn't for months!! What the heck gives??

The app loads an ad every time you start it. My experience has been that it loads the ad slowly and often just hangs indefinitely.

Probably be a decent app if it wasn't on Grey TV. Shortened news and weather so they can get one more commercial in. If NBC Sports runs late you get the 6 o'clock news or no news just commercials while the news is on or the grey logo. Pure trash from Grey. The news isn't bad if you ever get it. To make matters worse we can no longer watch the 5&6 AM news delayed? If we try we will get local news from somewhere else in the country. WW, MN, FP, etc; any thing but KY3.

This's a Very very Lousy app. It doesn't deserve even one star!! But... more than likely... I will Have to put 1 star. I'm deleting this app as fast as I can!! Yep!!! I was right, they're not letting me post this without putting a star. That's the Only it's getting any stars.

I have WIFI only. No cable - no Local news. I was totally lost without my news an weather. This app is just what I needed 👍👍 I'm no longer lost. Great free app ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I'm writing this review in my storm shelter. Tornados in the area, I pull up livestreaming only to get a 15 sec ad. That's what I need to see when im told every second counts in a tornado. Followed by nothing more than a background that says "Gray Media livestream will back shortly" that lasted the entirety of my time in my shelter. A news app with no news!

Won't stay running went down 4 times before I got in. Your station needs a lot of work. Maybe you all just don't care. I have now canceled my uses of this app. I have also emailed and called and never got a answer back.
