This app is garbage... I got a new device and wasn't able to complete the setup my self. I have to go to the "club" to finish up the setup. What's the point in having an app if you're going to need someone to step it up for you? I would rather have a keyring tag or card with a barcode. No technically needed. I also wouldn't need to take my phone to the gym to get broken or stolen.

It's not updated. There are instructors and classes in Favorites not listed in over a year. Also when you're scrolling in Favorites it takes you all the way back out if you want to search other things out in the same section

Adroid Membership Card Honestly, LA Fitness is the most frustrating fitness facility I have ever been associated with. Further to that, I have been in communication with their "customer service" team for months trying to resolve the membership log-in issues. They keep telling me it's fine and to use the QR code to access the club but it doesn't work, yet it did before. I've asked time and time again for them to send me a copy of the QR as a courtesy so I didn't have to wait to come in/ give my #

Garbage. The show membership card feature does not work on pixel3 or Pixel4 with latest Android OS. Literally the only reason to have the app. Still have to give a phone number at the desk. Please fix this!!!!! It is infuriating.

My first day at LAF and frankly I was delighted. The technically this app seems okay, like many others. BUT, there was the rating part of this app, and that's the disappointing thing. New members get a notification that LAF wants our feedback. Three questions, two with 3 choices: 😊, meh, and 😤. No opportunity to give actual details. Frankly, this kind of survey makes me feel ❤️‍🔥. LAF can do better.

Cancelling your membership is a nightmare. I've tried to request cancellation online over the last two months and they keep only giving me in person or by mail options... neither of which are convenient for anyone.

A quick note to confirm that the solution posted by NS works as suggested. I changed phones, so the app in the new phone would not show the membership card. 1) Request front desk to deactivate mobile membership 2) Log out of the app 3) Log back in 4) Reactivate your mobile membership when the app again prompts you, as it did the first time, to activate your mobile membership That's it. Thanks for the solution, NS. Hopefully LA Fitness developers will address this bug soon.

Wish that the membership qr code was just one click away from the launch of the app instead of two. It would be nice to also have it integratable to my Google Pay Wallet since you do not support physical barcode/qr code cards.

Not very good, only functions that work are anything that they want you pay extra. Membership card scan and book regular features disabled. You go to your club and front desk have no clue and send you to sales staff who try to sell youmore stuff. Been a platinum member for 15 years. Service is getting beyond bad.

It's an alright app. You're required to use it to check into the gym, but if you (change phones for example, and) don't remember your password, it makes you create a whole new username, email and password, instead of just sending you an email to recover password or something. It makes it an inconvenience to their own customer.

A total pita to use. I wouldn't mind so much if we could get the cards with barcodes back. There's some nice stuff on there if you can get the app to work though.

Imposible to find lost password. They make it so hard to log in. 0 stars!!! Also the La fitness in Newington CT, is super bad, the employees are super rude, can you send someone investigarte how often they clean, it is probably unhelthy.

I was hoping for much more. This allows account and billing management, as well as searching and signing up for classes and finding gyms in the area. That's it. I was hoping for at least a calorie counter or workout logbook, but no such luck. Pretty disappointing considering the rigmarole required to start it up. Over half of the features could be found just using Google etc. Might be more useful if you travel a lot.

Nice to be able to see the classes at my local club. Wish it had an equipment maintenance request feature. I frequently report issues to the front desk, but they never write down the details of the issue, so it doesn't really get fixed. This version (1.197) locked up on me recently and wouldn't show anything but the main logo. Had to uninstall and re-install.

This app is not as nice as the 24 hour fitness app. Would be nice if when we searched for classes near us it would pull up a list in order of time for the day being searched for all the clubs within the mile radius you designate. Having to flip back and forth between gyms is not ideal. Also, when you hit the back button it goes back to the home page instead of back to the list of gyms. Very annoying.

As many have mentioned, the initial log in method is an utter failure. App launches the phone camera to scan QR code, but nothing happens. This to me seems to be one of the biggest fail in the app history. However, there is a solution: In the instruction page that tells you to scan the QR code(after signing up with LA Fitness), in the lower left corner has an option to create account manually. You just need to choose a user name and enter the password twice. Once created you can log in on the Mobile app the same way and get all the benefits of the app.

Bring back the widgets and I'll change my rating. As others have said, removing the Widgets has made the app less than ideal. Used to be one click to get my id up, now it's three. And the Contact Free (still 3 clicks) is nice, but the people at the desk aren't trained on it, so I have to explain that I did contactless check-in and then they look on the computer to see if it registered.

I'm glad to see others have reported the same experiences with the contact less check-in. It's not working at all and totally opposite of its intent. Now I have to give them my phone number to check in. lots of the time thru the mask, I'll have to repeat myself. Frustrated that I cannot get ride of the contact less(useless) check in option. At least the old method we can just scan our app and that's all it takes. Improve it quickly or remove it. It is not helpful at all.

It took 9 months throughout pandemic to finally enable club reservation through App. But they couldn't make it configurable enough so you know which part of the club to use. It has one main option and lists everything else as "The Rest". With that they managed to break the only useful feature of the app, which is membership card. It no longet works.
