The phlegmatic and lonely English gentleman Phileas Fogg will abandon his life of scrupulous discipline to fulfill a bet with his colleagues of the Reform Club, in which he will risk half of his fortune committing himself to go round the world in only eighty days using the available means in the second half of the nineteenth century and following the project published in the "Morning Chronicle", his diary of daily reading. He will be accompanied by his newly hired French butler, and will have to deal not only with the delays in the means of transport, but with the pertinacious persecution of Detective Fix, who, ignoring the real identity of the gentleman, is enrolled in the entire adventure waiting of an arrest warrant for the English crown, in the belief that, before leaving, Fogg stole the Bank of England.
