LagFix (fstrim) Free

★ THIS APP REQUIRES ROOT! ★

★ WARNING! ★LagFix DOES NOT HANG! Trimming process might take many minutes! Like five or ten. Don' panic, make some tea and wait.

★ WARNING! ★Read FAQ before using! http://bit.ly/SKLMBw

★ Premium version is now ON SALE! ★You asked, we delivered! Premium version comes without ads and have an option to auto-run trimming at specified schedule
- set it once, forget about lags forever! You can find it here http://bit.ly/Vx4ATsIt comes from different publisher because Google does not allow publishing of paid apps from my country.

Warning! This app should only be used by ADVANCED users! If you do not understand what it does
- DO NOT USE IT! You can find fstrim() man in Google and more information on XDA
- http://bit.ly/10VJRPt. RTFM before asking any questions or rating this app bad!

Some Android users suffer from poor performance after some days/weeks of heavy usage. This is due to a well-known TRIM bug affecting these devices (users report Nexus devices and HTC One devices are affected). Kernels with -discard mount option are NOT affected!

The source of the problem is that internal storage is not properly TRIMmed when needed. You can find lots of information on XDA
- http://bit.ly/11VUJvQ and http://bit.ly/14gMsBg It is also well-known fact that running fstrim Linux tool from time to time fixes the issue until internal memory runs out of free blocks. Other solutions like mounting with -discard or disabling fsync may be slow or dangerous.

LagFix is a user-friendly implementation of fstrim utility. It allows you to select which partitions to trim (you should leave defaults unless you know what you are doing) and run the process easily.

Please note that fstrim output depends on kernel and device. It works fine unless you see errors. You might see big amounts of bytes, zero amount or repeating amount. All are fine! Read fstrim manual to understand why all these outputs are valid.

It is also advised to reboot your device after the TRIM process so that kernel could reinitialize block data.

As the dev has already mentioned, this app is not meant for all devices out there. Only some devices with specific kernels are prone to this TRIM bug, so many people are never going to have significant performance gains from this app. Besides, a lot of kernels don't support this app either. Yet I really applaud this fantastic app and a huge thanks to the devs for this freeware.

Really did speed up my nexus 7 2013. BTW always check if you have brickbug (type in got brickbug into play store and download the app) DO NOT USE IF YOU HAVE A SAMSUNG OR IT COULD WRECK YOUR PHONE

A simple solution to a common frustration: Android devices slow down over time as the flash memory gets fragmented. This had become unbearable on my Asus TF201. This tool seems to have sped up the tablet tangibly and made it usable again. Useful for anyone who is rooted but does not have Android 4.3 (which has this function built in).

As an IT Professional I know that just like any operating system to keep my phone running well I need to keep things lean. But even after a factory wipe with no apps my phone would be crawling within hours. This app makes my phone continue to run fast with lots of apps and months after a factory wipe. Thank you for this wonderful app!

Is it ever slow. I had to change my screen timeout to 30 minutes just so this app could finish working. Even at 30 minutes my screen sometimes times-out before this app can finish. Sometimes it never does finish. It's a 50/50 shot if it's going to work or not.

I thought the trim issues were supposed to be solved for the nexus7, but mine was still running super slow. Even with lean kernel. This app only cleans cache on Kit Kat, but it helps enormously. I took of one star for pretty clunky interface.

If you are experiencing a slow down on a Nexus 7 2012 running Kit Kat then this should fix the problem. It will take several minutes to run indicating a TRIM was indeed needed. It seems to have the same bug that plagued 4.2 and this is the answer

It definitely helps performance on my phone. But I found something interesting... When I updated to 4.4.2 my camera app stopped working and I couldn't figure out why (been like this for a few weeks) Then today I ran this application and suddenly my stock camera app started working again. So I'm happy (:

I have an Nook HD+ tablet with Cyanogenmod installed. The device, over time, became so sluggish that it was almost impossible to use. I started dumping apps thinking this was the problem. When that didn't work, I started looking for an app that would possibly clean the memory. I stumbled on to LagFix while searching for something completely different. I don't know why an Android device slows down over time, but LagFix brought my Nook back to life. If you have a device that has slowed over time, give LagFix a shot. You have nothing to lose, it's free and just might work. It worked for me.

Before I got this app, my phone was practically unusable. Now my phone is just like new with all my data such as apps, music, etc. all still there! I had tried many different root applications but none had worked such as this one. The process only took a matter of seconds. The interface and instructions cannot be more clear and even the noobiest of users can use this app.

My Iconia is definitely a lot better now - It's 2 years old and has seen quite a bit of use. Even a factory reset didn't help the lag, but this did. The first run took nearly 3 HOURS to complete. I was panicking that it had wrecked my tablet, but managed to keep my hands off the reset button until it finished. Subsequent runs have been fairly quick. I'm going to purchase it now - it's cheap as (actually cheaper than) chips anyway. Do read the docs on xda first - it can't support some devices due to limitations in the hardware and may brick others due to hardware bugs. READ THE DOCS. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

My Nexus 7 had become very sluggish when swapping user accounts and was driving me nuts. Some research online brought me here and LagFix immediately cured the problem. I was happy to thank the author by buying the premium version and if it saves you as much grief as it did me, I hope you will too.

i upgraded from cm11 m2 to m4, after 2 weeks my phone started to lag, although i tried every cleaner but still my phone was slower. then i tried this app and it feels as smooth as factory reset phone. you saved my lot of time developer. i wanted to give you 6 stars

Nexus 7 2012 had a really bad problem with the TRIM memory. This should fix it, at least temporarily. My nexus 4 didn't really have any lag before but it feels just a tiny bit snappier than before.

Works well on rooted device. If you attempt any fix on an unrooted phone or tablet IT WILL BRICK YOUR DEVICE!!! I repeat. USING THIS APP ON AN UNROOTED DEVICE WILL BRICK AND DESTROY IT!!!!!!! If you are not an advanced user (meaning you can NOT rebuild the Android OS and you are unrooted, STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND TAKE YOUR PHONE TO YOUR CARRIER FOR REPAIRS! If you don't know what rooting is STOP WHAT YOUR DOING!

If you are using an older version of android and want to speed up your device, this little utility will do just that by removing old unnecessary system files. Android 4.3 option for older versions of the world's favorite os.

The description said it would take many minutes, but it just 3 sec on me. It failed to work or my phone is just too awesome :v

Droid RAZR maxx. Device isn't supported for any of the 3 methods. Really disappointed because I did root access SPECIFICALLY to use this app

It kind of seems that lag in games has lessoned but cannot say for sure.Retaining it coz there is no apparent harm.

I've never bothered to review an app, but I feel compelled to say something about how this one has helped me. After 2 years of using my phone, it had become painfully slow. I've tried so many things to speed it up to no avail. In about 10 minutes, this app helped to reduce the laggy response I had become so accustomed to by a HUGE margin. Almost like the phone is new again! According to the developer, there are certain cases where this app CAN be dangerous to run, and may cause permanent damage to a device. So, do your research first, and run it at your own risk. Personally, I'm very glad I did! I ran this on my HTC Rezound, which is rooted on the stock ICS rom.

I've been struggling for months trying to figure out why everyone but me was saying their GNex was fast. Mine sucked. It would only be fast for a few days after flashing a new fresh ROM. Some apps and games were just unusable, but other GNex owners were not complaining. Why just my phone? I tried ROMs, kernel tweaks (disabled fsync which crashed my phone periodically, but was worth it for my phone to run good 60% of the time rather than 20%, but still unacceptable). I thought I needed a new phone, but didn't want to spend the money. Enter LagFix! I ran it once & it took about 1 minute the first time, but after that the GNex ran like it was brand new! I now love my GNex again and I don't even want any of the new phones out anymore (unless someone wants to give me a free stock GS4 hahaa). Thanks for a great app that does exactly what it says, at least for this phone. Saved me $400-$700 since I now won't have to buy a new phone.

Looks like someone rise had this problem, too. Totally wiped all data and formatting and partitions! I can get it to boot to cwm recovery off the SD card but it is unable to find or do anything. Three days of research and attempting to fix got me nowhere, now I have to fess up to the wife. Maybe a warrentee claim will work.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD READ THE DAMN DESCRIPTION. IT SAYS ROOTED PHONES ONLY DONT BLAME THE DEVELOPER YOU BLIND IDIOTS.

A. G. u. Nov 4, 2015

Worked like magic. I updated my Galaxy S3 from CM 10 to 11 and from this point my phone was extremely slow. Cleaning apps didn't worked neither killing processes or freeing RAM. I was about to smash my phone. Massive lag for everything. Installed this, checked all checkboxes, rebooted the phone and bam all new !

Jus. L. T. Nov 24, 2014

Still slow and then the app stopped working on Lollipop 5.0 that's the only reason for the bad review

Ant. Y. Jul 29, 2016

After running Lagfix and restarting my old Samsung Galaxy tab S4 is noticeably faster. In particular, WPS Office opens faster than it used to. It's often sluggish on this old tablet for some reason.

Nic. M. Aug 19, 2013

Ran it, screen went blank, won't turn back on. Great job of burying the warning within a URL, I literally JUST got my phone unbricked from a separate issue. DON'T RISK TRYING THIS APP.

Nik. R. Dec 14, 2015

Bryan Cooper. The developer have clearly mentioned. THIS THING REQUIRES ROOT. Then Why the **** did u try this? Just to brick your phone? People like you who don't know to spell the word ROOT tries and brick your phone. You kind of people without literacy are the reason to discourage new innovations. At least respect that he is giving it for nothing.
