Land Rover InControl Remote

Been using for just over a week with 2019 Range Rover Sport and, contrary to other people's reviews, it works absolutely fine! It links with the car, and it DOES close the windows, locks or unlocks the doors, and sets the alarm. Only thing bad is the basic maths are often wrong - journey time, distance traveled and average speed aren't compatible!!!

I know some have had issues with this app, but I've been using it for the last week on a Samsung Galaxy S8 and haven't had any real problems with remote start. I've tested it on both wifi and T-Mobile service and it's consistently started my vehicle. If I receive the "Your vehicle is in a poor coverage area" error message, I just try again and it more often then not, starts on the 2nd try. Considering I live in rural Maine with far fewer cell towers than more metropolitan cities, I'm very happy.

Never had a problem with this app, it's always worked perfectly for everything we've tried. Tracked routes are available a few minutes after the end of each journey, and remote starting has been flawless. Unlike the waste-of-time Land Rover Apps app, this one is good. Dropping one star because there is so much untapped potential for this app: please add tyre pressure info, and current outside and inside temperature for starters.

Just awful, where do I start, first of all the app is awful and doesn't even locate the car, once it eventually does, you cannot remotely control the temperature without a network delay or complete error. You have to either reset the app or worse restart your phone. The UI is really poor, very limited on what it shows/functions compared to its German rivals, doesnt even show your car service history! You can design fantastic cars but you can't get the basics app right! We are paying for this!

Remote start barely works, just spins and spins then goes back to the start screen. Sometimes it will show car is running, but when I get to the car (within 5 minutes or less) the car isn't running, even though app still shows it's running. Sometimes shows it car is not running (i.e. app didn't start car) but when I get to the car, it is running. If you want reliable remote start, look to a better brand of vehicle. Even GM is better at delivering this feature than LR.

Great App. I find I use this more than I thought I would, and find it very useful. For some reason, the Android version doesn't have the "Vehicle Health Report" section in the Assistance page, like IOS does. Not sure why?? Handy for checking Ad Blue levels for instance. I have to use my iPad app for this info.... Would like it more if the app could send you a notification if a window has been left open or car unlocked etc, after parking, rather than opening the app to check.

I've given up on this incontrol remote app and gone over to using the ordinary Landover remote app instead. At least that one works which suggests that my car is OK. This one nearly always takes two attempts to start and then doesn't show me where the car is on the map when it does start. Previously I couldn't get it to start at all but that seemed to be partly fixed on the last update. I've tried all the usual stuff install uninstall reinstall etc etc. Worked fine when I first got the car.

This app used to be great but after 6th August stopped automatically downloading and showing Journeys. They are recorded on the server but the only way to see them in this app is to delete the app data or uninstall & reinstall the app and log in again. It will then download all Journeys to date. It's a real nuisance, please can you fix this issue? (it only seems to be faulty on the Android version as it works fine on my partner's iPhone)

Pointless as it hardly ever logs in. Just get network errors. I've tried on WiFi and 4g but neither works. I had 1 fleeting moment of it logged in but it didn't show remote heat when it's worked before. As far as I'm aware there's been no change in UK law for this to be disabled. Closed app to see if it would appear but it logged me out and then wouldn't log me in again. The 1st day of the winter temps that I want to use remote heat and I can't log in. This app is more hassle than it's worth.

Worst app on my phone, and worst experience I can recall with a vehicle. This app fails to deliver even theost basic features that most base model cars now come with. The inconsistency with this app would have definitely made me change my buying decision. Don't count on being able to consistently lock or unlock your car or remote start it.

The only reason I use this app is to remote start my car. Most of the times, it takes a while to connect and sometimes it keeps giving the network delay error which is very frustrating. I did not have these issues with the iOS app when I used to have iPhone. Not sure if it's the Android app that has the issue or the phone Pixel2 XL. I just wasted 20 mins for this app to work. I finally uninstalled and then instal the app again to make it work. Why in the world I switched from iPhone ☹️

Terrible app. works about 50% of the time (like most of the software in the car). Regularly have to log back into it. Just looking at my frozen solid car out of the window. After 8 attempts at starting it and wasting 15 minutes, I'm just going to have to go out and start it the old fashioned way. Really not good at all.

As of December 12 2019. App has major issues. Does not connect, is the biggest issue for me. Can't start a $200,000 truck remotely. Stand 2 metres or 20 metres away. Wifi or Lte makes no difference. Have the latest version of app installed. Very very disappointed. Have a 2018 f350 platinum. Remote start works like a charm. Don't have to login to an app wait for it to connect and eventually telling me it can't connect, while all this could be done using a simple remote. 2020 lwb hse range rover

I have owned this car for a year now and this app just keeps getting worse. If it ever logs in it will not start my car. if it starts the car it doesn't update the app to tell me it has started or it says there is a bad connection. Full 4g on my phone standing next to the car. For such a high end car with a high end price you would think they could hire someone to build a working app. This app would stop me from buying another Land Rover.

The functionality is pretty good, but the swipe-through-screens app navigation is pretty odd. Features to consider: * Single app for remote and route planning * Control heated / cooled seats when you start the vehicle * Control heated windows when you start the vehicle * Close sunroof remotely * Notification if the vehicle is unlocked and the key fob is not present. Optionally skip the notification if you are at home. * Replace PIN with fingerprint / facial verification

Horrible remote system for such expensive vehicles. Land Rover you better step it up. One month later the app is worse. I would not recommend relying on this feature in these vehicles. Ford and Hyundai have these guys beat. Here we are a year later and the entire system is still failing in my Velar. I am staying with my original comments, ratings and recommendations. Still the worst remote system on the market.

Was brilliant and very useful. Since latest update this week September 2019 app won't open. States android 5 plus required. Have reinstalled numerous times. My Samsung is android 9. So what's the problem? Not at all happy! Since found a newer version. Much much better. Updates etc not very clear. Both versions called remote! So confusing. Recommend trying both.

This App is garbage. The website associated with the App is not much better. After a few months the app has logged me out, now does not recognize my password, and then when the link is sent to reset the password - an error message saying the link is no longer valid appears after just typing in a new password and clicking submit. I am thankful that my Land Rover is built and functions better than this app. I am not happy I do not have the remote start functionality because of this App.

Since the glitch in the system I am having soooooooo much trouble remote starting my 2018 Discovery sport. It is disappointing that I have a luxury car with beyond luxury headache. I am totally appalled by this incident. My remote is still not working from my phone. It's saying I'm out of range. I could be standing right in front of my car Soooooooo aggravating 😡

It it originally worked well in the months that I didn't really need it. Now that it is 9 degrees outside it is stuck in sleep mode and I am unable to start my vehicle. I have tried to uninstall the app and reinstalling it several times. The only function that currently works on it is that it tells me the outside temperature. Please fix!!

2020 Range Rover Autobiography, Android This app is limited in its abilities compared to others, but it does work for me. However, for some reason, it keeps beeping/vibrating, presumably during certain vehicle computer events (2 or 3 times soon after starting, 2 or 3 times after locking, during really hard acceleration) but it never tells me why. Lots of these "phantom" notifications make me wonder what's going on. Wish Land Rover would provide better support for this app.

Very poor application. It should notify you if you forget windows or door open. I have to enter the email always when I sign in because I changed email and would memorize only the first one. We deserve better. Paying so much for a car. Even cars half of the prize have better application. How come they see all unhappy customers and they dont take any action to improve it.
