In addition the Route Planner app also allows you to pre-plan trips and holidays by searching for places of interest or restaurants and saving them as favourites from your smartphone. You will then be able to access these saved locations from the in-car navigation system at a later date.
Note:Requires registration of an InControl Navigation Account either from your Land Rover’s navigation settings or landrover.here.com.As we systematically introduce InControl, specific features, options and its availability remain market dependent. This app requires that your vehicle be fitted with its relevant connectivity package as well as a Micro SIM card with a suitable data contract. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Awful app. The app thinks my car is located about 2 miles from where the car is actually parked and this never updates, so apparently my car is parked on the M62 motorway!! I cannot send my route from the mobile to the car, it just does not recognise it. I have tried updates, uninstall/ Reinstall - all fail to correct the above problems. I find this with Land Rover, it all works well for the first month and then it falls apart and no one seems to care!
This app is a bit awkward to use initially but once you get use to its quirks it's actually pretty useful. Just wish you could enter arrival time ("arrive by" rather then just "leave at"). And add compatibility with other systems like google maps and waze would be useful too. Finally, it would be helpful to allow system set up via app (such as home and comute) rather then sitting in the car for half an hour.
It Gets 2 stars because, sometimes, it actually works. But most of the time it cannot calculate the route . No updates for nearly 2 years demonstrates the level of commitment by Land Rover. Looks good in the feature list of the cars, but not reliable.
Used to be OK but qualitty is now poor. Cant send directions to car any more and since recent upgrade it can't even find London! It has also lost my destinations. Android auto is much better but I wonder why I paid so much for an upgraded audio system when the support is so bad. Upgrading maps via USB stick takes hours. Not the quality I expect from Land Rover
Never particularly useful. Difficult to name 'favourites' to something meaningful. Frequently won't synchronise with car or website. Unresponsive developer. Last updated with the dinosaurs. Doesn't work with Android 10 and keeps insisting you connect to the internet....when you are. JLR badge might once have implied 'premium' but certainly not based on their apps!
Still not working. For some reason everytime I create a route and click start guidance, i get a message saying you have arrived!!!! Not good as its taken 6 months for an update. Further more does not sync any routes with the car.
Waste of space. Constant having to relogin. Keeps trying to take you to your car, 8 feet away, then tells you you have reach destination. System takes you down roads 1" wider than car! At least TomTom allows an element of road choice!
Update: After 5 months still not supported on Android 10. This is not acceptable for a big company like Land Rover. They need to fire the current ones and hire new developers. Older Comment: No support for Android 10 . Stopped working after my phone got updated. 😕 Still stuck on Android 7 version.
Was always a bit iffy but won't work at all with Android 10. Developers do not seem interested in responding to comments or updating their ancient software. Unfortunately less than one star is not an option.
Same here, once phone updated to Android 11 the app stopped working. Edit: 6 months now since the last update, so many experiencing the same problem and no action taken, a dire review rating well deserved. I can only assume JLR have stopped supporting their own app or really don't care about their customers. Edit: fixed at last! - Why did it take so long.
Was working until Android 11 was installed on my phone. All it does now is close as soon as it opens. I came from 2 BMWs before and thought their apps and interfaces were bad. I was sooooo wrong. This is a joke. 60K plus for a car that you can't use its features. Get with it Land Rover.....
What a POS!! This App kind of worked 2 years ago but now won't even run. I have an android phone that has had so many system updates over th last year, but this app hasn't been updated since November 2017. U would think that Land Rover / Range Rover / Velar would be interested in courting their customer base but they don't care. Take my work for it, this POS App will do you no good!!!!!!!!!!!
Worst Ever , It would serve Landrover much better if they just pulled this app altogether. If you can't do it right then just don't do it. Am yet to see a reply from the developer which indicates that there is nothing worth defending or they are unable to. Why would anyone in this day and age won't to plan a trip on thier home computer and then upload that to the car system, what was LR thinking and how old are the programmers that they use.
Requires a lot of work. Not even able to login even though the same username and password work on web, app does not accept it. Perhaps ask your IT team to work a day a week on improving your apps as well. Fail to understand why you have an app with so many negative reviews and not look at improving it.
Cannot get this app to work with the new PiviPro navigation/infotainment system equipped vehicles. Emails to developer get bounced back as "Message blocked". (Why? I'm wearing a mask!) LR Customer Experience Centre say PiviPro does not need an inControl Navigation account, but cannot explain how the app can be made to work with PiviPro. Such a shame.
For the last 3 months the app says my car is 70 miles away, even thought it is outside on my drive. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, no good. Now getting uninstalled for good
Garbage App. Does not work with Samsung S11/ Android 10. Most landrover tech does not work. Overpriced vehicle with Apps that don't work. Typical Landrover not to update their App in over 2 years. Never will buy or recommend Landrover.
Good little app works as it should. Shame it's not integrated with the incontrol app. TIP: If you are using when roaming make sure the car has roaming enabled.
When can I use my phone to send directions to my 2019 Velar? I paid extra for the InControl element and for the last six months or so I have been unable to use this feature. Its not that I have an old phone, I have an S10 5G device, come on Range Rover or I'll be looking for a refund!!
Was working really well, but since start of this week (11 Jan 2021) the app refuses to open. Uninstalled and reinstalled = no difference. Shame as used this app a lot. Come on LR get it sorted!
Have been unable to pass the security symbols test part despite 2 of us checking the letters some 15 attempts. Returns to pick your country page every time. Therefore, doesn't work!
Having an App that's NOT been updated for 3 years in a world that constantly updating phone software at least every quarter to prevent vulnerability exploitation is reprehensible and wholly irresponsible
Fairly good, although sometimes it does not send the route to the car. So can be a little frustrating !!
A reasonable app but with some surprising omissions. You can play a route and add way points, however you cannot edit the name of a destination or way point. You also cannot set a motorway junction as a waypoint.you should be able to set a junction say Jcn 4 of the M40 as a way point. Good, but room for improvement. More frequent updates to the app would also be good.
