Not scanning..
Using a HTC M8. Drew the circles and the app created the landscape. The issue was trying to view in 3D mode was problematic. Moving the camera around didn't produce a 3D image but certain angles did pick up the image on a computer screen but required a very steady hand and only achieved glimpses of the generated image
It tries REALLY hard. It works great in "top view" mode but as soon as you switch back to "regular" mode it has a conniption and can't find the paper. It'll render the image for fractions of a second in flashes at random places. It'd be better if you could drag the camera around a rendered image from top view mode rather than rely on live rendering.
I used the Galaxy 5s and it works fine. My son was able to make an island out of his name. Few tips: - Good lighting(Bright) - Flat paper (no creases or humps) - Use a black sharpie Overall it does what it says. Had a few issues in the beginning. Just close the app, open back up and select the paper size and not the auto function. Just play around with it and you'll get it.
This is a dang neat app. Super simple to use. Just need a Sharpie, and a good dark background to lay the paper on. Works like a champ. No issues. Really cool to mess around with. I just wish you could draw symbols like maybe a tree to populate an area with them. Overall an awesome app, and small to boot.
Drew a basic sketch and after trial and error the image finally scanned and gave the most random and terribly incorrect map. Jeez it was bad.
On galaxy S7 & S8 : camera does not focus so impossible to make it happen

Time wasted
This is great as long as you have patience because the 3d image is a little unstable due to your hand shaking. I would suggest improving upon this app by expanding it to other surfaces like tables etc, not only paper (since you can already move a saved image onto other pieces of paper)
I'm not sure if this app needs an update or not but each time I get it to recognize the paper the crashes on the scan. I'm using an Lg G4. This is a really cool idea and I hope to use it in the future. But for now I'll be uninstalling.
I exceeds my expectations, and easy to use. It would even be better if I can export the model and use/share it on other 3D modeling platforms.
