Excellent Tactical Turned Based Gatcha game, with a lot of content and an "as fair as possible" system for a game with microtransactions. You can "target" characters you want and once you get it, you have the possibility to unlock their full power with just time. No multiple copies mandatory shenanigans. Understand though that playing free is grindy (I personally like it), and need you to compromise. Which heroes/troops do you try to unlock? Rank up? Focus on gearing and how? Awesome overall!
Great graphics, intriguing plot, smooth and gameplay, good characters combined with one of the most fair gacha systems out there make this game one of the best out in the mobile scene. I’ve played a lot of games on mobile, console, and PC, and I gotta say, this is one of my favorite games right now, regardless of platform.
Time intensive but great strategy game + reasonably generous gacha. Essentially better fire-emblem like gameplay than its own game. The story is pretty good, along with the character stories + recreated levels from the mainline games. To say nothing of the endgame Apex pvp mode which is frankly incredible in it's complexity. A word of warning however that you're in it for the long haul. Progression can be remarkably slow at times and some elements of the story are locked behind that.
I feel like I need to say something in response to all the negative reviews that the game is "too hard" or "not fair" talking about pulls of ssr heroes or being able to complete late game pve content. Stop being a weeny and go play candy crush if you think it's too hard. I for one am happy to finally find a game that challenges you and doesn't just let you beat everything "just because". The continued late game challenge is the only thing that has kept me playing it daily for over 3 years.
Came back after a few years to see if the game improved. It can be almost unplayable if you don't prioritize unit grind and time rift. It seems they made some things less of a hassle and added more sweeps which let's you complete tedious tasks and the floating castle mechanic that can get you grinding materials to make things less painful. Would love to give this game a good score, but this is an expensive game that caters to very small niche crowd.
Stability has returned to the game but the menu system is still cumbersome to navigate through. Moving review to 3 stars because the game is a real grind and the end game PVE content is unnecessarily hard, even outside of challenges where you'd expect the difficulty. Due to this I can't recommend the game to everyone.
I got the 999 day login achievement a while ago and other than not starting until the second week after it was released I haven't missed a day. Still great fun after all these years and as F2P my units are very competitive. Lots of other games I have started and stopped but Langrisser has stuck with me. Highly recommended.
Not really a typical gatcha game. Nothing rare is useless but it does take about a good year before the game feels like it's fully come together. It's a long time investment rather than money investment. Even paying for a bunch of things wouldn't get you up to speed, it's just not that kind of game. That being said there's fun along the way and if you stick with it, it becomes a very fun experience. Only thing everyone agrees on is that the soldier training should be reduced.
Ever since the new update my entire save file is gone! I've spent some money on this game and now everything is gone not sure of its a glitch but I've been using the same account my Google account and when I select it, everything is gone if I can't get everything back I want a refund!
Update 2022: Three years I've been playing this game. Just about every day. If you like classic fantasy jrpg tropes, turn based, grid based, top down battles, and collecting, leveling up, and increasing the rating of equipment and characters... this game is for you. Be warned: While it can be played 100% free and still be enjoyable, it will require a bit more grinding and waiting to do so. Such as it is with these types of mobile games!
Good game. Has the elements I was really looking for. Excellent story line. Power creep is insane though. My characters have to be 5 to 10 levels higher than whatever I'm trying to fight. And that's with the character's have upgraded equipment. Whatever the "recommended lol is, yeah, just go ahead and add 5+. I have level 46 character's, and using the ones the dragon bosses are weak to, and still having issues with most lol 35 dragons. Just be warned.
An update after years of playing on and off: still a fun and strategic collect them all type game. I wish the shop had better deals as the summon rates are pretty low and youll be left unfulfilled, and moms credit card will be empty. The best feature is the job class system, wish more games adopted it.
Not too bad for a mobile game. If you ever played and liked any of the games of the same name or the semi butchered version known as Warsong then I'd say it's at least worth trying out.
Good fun, but there's a steep difficulty curve to it that can be hard to surmount as a ftp or if you just have luck with hero draws.
Its sad. This game is visually appealing but its very p2w. If your f2p you will have to accept the fact that you will never be able to complete events. You will never get the units maxed out. Thats if your lucky enough to even get an ssr. The gatcha rate is abysmal. The devs know this but they don't care. The make package after package that gives whales just about anything they need to make all their characters top tier. F2p has to grind for about 6 months to maybe have 1 or 2 useful characters
I absolutely loved this game until recently when it became a bonafide pay to win game, used to be awesome, now its complete garbage, save yourselves the time.
I gave this a 5 out of 5 because I was a good strategy game. You could play free or pay but you had access to all the different challenging missions and events. But after the update you can't load the game at all by mobile. Game keeps crashing on load screen or a minute in the game. I have more luck on the PC version but most of my play time is on the phone. This would not be so bad but they response is a copy and paste one. If you recently paid money on the update promotions its gone now.
Did play the game for two years. Ressources were extremelly time-gated. You can't play at ease when you want, which triggers anxiety very easily with the need to login daily to be able to skip stuff. On another hand, the writting is very poor, which gives the feel that there isn't a lot of effort behind it. The puzzles of the game are already way more interesting than the other aspects of the game, but heavily limited by the gacha for key units to be able to START doing those. A cruel game.
So the game plays fun there are a ton of great characters and I like the intimacy system. There are some big glaring issues. The pull rate is extremely low, And if you don't pay your characters will be underwhelming in terms of power. I have a level 32 team and have trouble with Level 25 quest that should not be the case. But Hey just put a few bucks in and hope for the best. And when I say a few bucks I mean a ton of money. Play something else anything else.
An actual mobile game that you play, rather than all those autobattlers out there that only focuses on hero collecting. The gameplay is fun and daily missions can be skipped without the use of tickets up to a certain number of times each day. It has a cross server PVP tournament for those that like to play against other players. Be warned, this is a hard game where you need to pay attention. Overall, I would highly recommend Langrisser Mobile if you like srpg games.
I have to reinstall at every major update so be sure to make an account That was on a 2016 Tab A (16gb). No problems updating on a Tab 5e. As for game play it will take a while to level up, but F2P is feasible. I spend a few dollars to support the game just because I have been playing so long. After years playing I don't know why people claim you have to pay to play. This game is massive and people are happy to help. You won't go in and win pvp but there is a great game
It's a great game if you don't mind a challenge, especially later on. Most advancement materials will be locked behind some stages you can't easily 3 star from your current level.
Still new, but my biggest gripe so far. Are all the red notification dots. Takes too much attention away from the actual game.
The game itself is great but with the new update yesterday, the server I'm on keeps crashing on my phone. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and it still does it. I play on my alt server and it works just fine. Please fix Dragon Cave server
The graphics are simple, in a good way, and everything just flows: music, art, gameplay, tutorials, story. Perfect game design and a very immersive experience overall. It's a perfect meshing of fantasy roleplaying and challenging tactical combat. The pace fits right, and new features are gradually unlocked as you learn more about the game world and story, so don't worry about being overwhelmed if it looks to difficult for you, you'll get the hang of it in no time!
