I used this app for the free segments to try it out. It has descriptive notes about what what you will learn in each course along with sentences you can practice. I love the speaking segments in the courses that grade on how well you pronounce the word and the little notes on the culture. Great app!
I paid for the full version. this is solely for vocabulary but its a great place to start. I like the offline download for long plane rides. Nit every pronounciation is perfect, but it's close enough. Great for visual learners and pairs well as a supplement to other apps lije duolingo.
So far this has been an amazing learning app for German. I have only tried the basic version, im about to purchase the 12 months for $47.99. I believe this app is definitely worth the money. Its a good investment. I am losing my hearing though and this app doesn't have a volume adjustment so it speaks pretty low with no ways of turning up volume.
It's a good app if you have money to invest on it, if you do I think it's worth it. As for me I couldn't pass the 3 beginner's lesson because you have to pay to continue. unlike duolingo even if you haven't paid lessons are available and only some features will be restricted. So I will stick to Duo and Uninstall this, it's a shame to see it going
Excellent app, very useful, easy way to learn languages. I would like to mention something. In the next update you could add a function that we can point the lessons we want so we can study them a next time. It would be really helpful honestly!
I find this really refreshing, way to learn another language and the flash cards and games make you think fast . Unfortunately subscribing for the year was a nightmare and they declined my subscription which I am disappointed about. But if your bored with apps like DUOLINGO give this one a try.
The language learning itself is nice, but they don't warn you about the payment for a new subscription. I just realized going through my email that I paid at least a year of subscription passed when I stopped using the app, and I got this email from Google Play. I wouldn't have known until I had checked my checking account for my paychecks. $50 wasted this month on an app that I don't use and won't have time to use anyway. Super shady.
There should be a variation in Spanish and English language just like in Portuguese,➡ Brazilian and Portugal. Same with Spanish (Castilian and Latin American) as well as English (British and American). But overall, the app is good.
tried this app after duolingo. Never got it to work. For whatever reason, could never get passed the initial greeting screen. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling a few times for the same issue. might be a good app, but i wasn't able to use it, so i just can't say.
I don't know about this app. I was ready to subscribe but wanted more info. I emailed the developers and still waiting for a reply. Specifically the equivalent level of instruction (B1, B2, C?). The developers don't respond. 7/20 Had a subscription for 2 years and will not renew. Add Esperanto and maybe I'll be back. This is basically nothing more than vocab drills, no grammar, no voice. I don't use the app very often. Thanks developers for responding after 2 years!
The app is awesome, it's better than Duolingo, Memrise, Busuu and all other sources for learning languages. It's probably new since I have never heard of it but with a bit publicity and commercialization I'm sure the app can be even as popular as Duolingo. I have only one request for the developers, can you please add Russian? Russian is a language with many learners afaik and there would definitely be a large audience for Russian, me included.
If you want people to try your application and your education system, first let them at least complete the first section and then let them decide if it is worth subscribing or not. A simple lesson is not enough for people to give money to an app. It would be better if you included some adds if money is a problem. I am pretty sure that you would gain many more subscribers.
I really like it so far. I think it's more engaging then Duolingo, however I think the icons that represent words could be improved to be more distinct. But other than that's new complaints so far. 👍👍
I've downloaded the app, I've used the free content and then I stopped using it. Yesterday I was charged for a subscription (45,99€ per year) without ever ordering it plus without even being able to open the paid content! Please help 😤
You can only access the very first intro lesson without paying. As an advanced language learner, this tells me nothing of how well the platform teaches advanced material. To me it's not worth risking a paid plan.
All of a sudden it stopped working on Samsung Galaxy s8 even after deleting app and reinstalling. It freezes and wont even go to the login page so I will have to find another language app. Can't find any solution. It was good when it worked.
Hi guys, really enjoy this app. Makes learning a new language fun. My 7 year old plays all day. Are there plans to add other languages? Also the full language courses? Specifically zulu, mandarin or afrikaanse. also, please change the flag icon for Zulu. It should be the South African flag Not sure what that flag is :) thanks guys,great work thanks Ian
Add the Skip Known Words button, I am wasting valuable time studying words I know, and improve the level of word sounds. It's low, it's a good app, but it needs more improvement.
excellent application but there are some bugs in between. there are display settings. For example, when passing the bottom line, there was an incorrect encoding and / n was written. I think you are using React. No other errors
My experience has been good. I feel that it touches there areas of spelling, vocabulary (of course), and other essential things very well.
I really love this app. I speak spanish and It help me a lot with the pronunciation, and also while you are learning you can play games that help you a lot. However, there are some lessons that are blocked and you have to pay for them I would have liked to pay those lessons because this application is really worth it, unfortunately I couldn´t pay for them because I´m still under-age and I don't have enough resources to pay.
I could not exit the app. Each time I signed out, it returned me to the first screen with no "X" or exit button. I had to restart my phone each time to have access to the rest of my phone. Sad. I like the learning activities.
OMG!! This app is AMAZING. I love learning German at Flash Academy. I really recommend that you download this app. The interface is beautiful, you learn a lot of vocabulary, phrases and etc. With this app you learn for real! Try it.
started using the app a few weeks ago and like the way this is structured ..a mix of vocabulary with repetition cleverly built in that has definitely made it easier to learn and remember rather than forget the minute i switch off..all good so far
I give up, take much time to load the app. Why don't let us take first lesson without downloading the course at first? Also, everytime I open, The app always downloading again and again. The content itself is perfect for learners than similar app. But, that is ton of loads make this boring cause waiting and waiting
Such an awesome app, I've encountered almost no ads, and it's very very smooth even on my old Android! I love it. Easy to understand and learn from. I'm learning German for a job.
So you can only do lesson 1 if you don't pay? The games are great, different kinds of games than other language learning apps, but that isn't enough if I can't progress to other levels. Rather unfortunate!
I had very good experience with using this app recently.while when i want to go prerium version,there are tips telling error about google pay can't applied in my country China.Can you producers offer one more purchasing ways such as paypal for us.I really want to use it to learn German.I think flashacademy will help me lot!So just help Chinese students who really want to use such a high qualified app like this,considering that it's not so easy for us students within the great wall to send a help
There's a few things wrong here. The 1 lesson is good, but too little to decide if you want to pay. Either offer more free classes or offer the first month at a reduced price (or one week for free). Additionally scanning the flash sticks that I bought irl is not working. And even if it would, the app is too slow for that use case. Starting up is slow, switching to scan is slow and starting the camera is slow.
