Lantern: Better than a VPN

Very good app to access blocked content by your ISP or private network. With the free version itself this application gives good speed but in recent time it starts disconnecting very frequently and taking lot of time to reconnect. I don't know what is the issue behind this problem. Maybe 🤔 it's because of free version we are using i think. Can dev give clarity on this issue?

Very good Lantern VPN. I am using also this for long time. Now sometimes it took so long to connect but what I did is to delete and reconnect again then again it's working good. Thank you.

it was working good but suddenly i opened it again to access a site and my internet stopped working, i turned it off and the internet was back its having some kind of problem pls fix i need to access smtg real bad i tried to uninstall and install etc. but its really not working anymore can u do smtg about it pls.

I purchased 1 year subscription. But not been able use service. Support didn't reply on my email. Google refused to refund. Ver bad experience.

I receive connection error! It shows it's connected but it's not connected.

Great overall VPN which connects lightening fast! So why 4 stars? ½ star for each of the followings: 1. It automatically starts after boot and doesn't have the setting to disable it (unlike the Windows version). 2. Doesn't have a notification toggle for fast switching it on/off. I think this should become a standard feature among Android VPN apps.

Free version is good enough for use. I purchased pro account but I can't receive email with linking pin to my mail box )= I sent email to admin but no answer unfortunately. UPD. My pro account works after few days.

Its one of the great vpn apps. It has a good speed and fast connection but it is not optimized on some devices cause it stops to work sometimes

I have been using Lantern on my phone and PC for many months now and it is by far the best, fastest and most reliable way to access blocked content I have ever used. Other apps stop working after a month or two but (so far) Lantern is still going strong. Unfortunately, I just updated it and my free monthly allowance has gone down. It was at 80% and after the update it is now at 100%. Oh well...

Best & Fastest free VPN I've tried so far! My university blocks the use of VPNs and rarely any VPNs work, the ones that do which is like one or two so far that I've found are all super slow, and take away 85% of my internet's speed, but I tried this and my internet speed barely changed at all! And downloaded at almost the same exact speed, can finally watch YouTube videos at 60FPS without any buffering! Amazing, might consider premium for an even better experience, thank you so much

I live in IRAN where there's a strict wide range web filtering and every day it's turning to be more difficult to find a good VPN to use internet freely. Lantern has been a really good app to go around the filters and no reduce in internet speed but every now and then it connects to IRAN's servers which is no use at all and there's no way to change the server. After a few days it might change and be usable again but meanwhile we have to look for other VPNs.

the new updated version is not connecting at all

Everytime i open now my wifi is block i cqnnot connect to any social media

New update is AWFUL..it's annoying with notifications.

It used to be good, but recently the mobile version stopped working. however the Windows desktop version is still working. So I think it is not because the access block from the government. please fix it. another thought, can I choose the proxy server from a list? Sometime it's Important.

Too slow and keeps disconnecting and changing VPN servers automatically. I don't recommend this VPN , especially if you need to stay connected to computing resources on the cloud. The customer service is very bad , they don't reply to you if you want to get your money back. Totally disappointed.

So, my school has a bunch of blocked websites, like Reddit and most YouTube videos. I've tried plenty of VPNs from Turbo VPN to Betternet. However, none of them compare to Lantern. First of all, it was able to actually connect to blocked site. Second, it did it QUICK. Before, I used Turbo VPN, but sometimes it didn't work and it woukd disconnect. With Lantern, it is consistently fast. If you're looking for a VPN, then just try out Lantern. It sure didn't let me down.

Like every VPN, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. What's ironic is that you have to update the app through Play Store. Where I am Google services are blocked, which means I actually need a VPN to update my VPN. It'd be nice to create alternative download links, the ones on Github are not up-to-date. Edit: The Github page should have a version history so we can know the last version. Edit 2: I just wish the customer service was more reactive and warn us when the network is unstable so we don't check randomly every time.

Best VPN for sure but that doesn't really say a lot, because the general standard of a good VPN is so low that being the best of them just mean you've done better jobs than those "Hard to connect, Disconnect once in a while or slow connection" tons of VPNs out there. That being said, Lantern.can go days or even weeks for not really working at all. But if they work, by gods, they are so fast. So if they could keep it like this 99% of the time, it will be the 5 stars of all VPNs.

This app used to be good, then suddenly after having to renew subscription, even after PAYING my account was still being asked to upgrade! There is a total LACK of customer service, after two days i received an email telling me to reinstall instead of actually helping. Absolutely horrible, i had to ask my friend to write this review since I am now stuck in china without vpn. Found no solutions anywhere on the internet. Would appreciate help ASAP, the email support is totally unresponsive.

I am using a pro version, it has not been working from 1st of June. I have sent messages to their team but there is no response at all. An app without proper support is so disappointing. Do not pay for it, I have paid for 1 year and it stopped working after less than 3 months and no one is there to reply your emails and messages.
