My lapas aren't working properly.. sometimes they are in the same space and the alert goes on and sometimes when I'm far away from a lapa it doesn't ring. Also if you reboot your phone you have to open the lapa app or else it won't work. I can't add the silent spots because there's no button to add. Today almost lost my phone and the lapa didn't even alert me..
I haven't used Lapa in a while. I recently adopted a new dog and wanted to try it out again in case she ever escapes or wanders off. I keep getting an error message when I try to update the info associated to my old Lapa. Connecting to the Lapa is also not always reliable. Within the house, it's a hit and miss, and I have to move around A LOT and wait for quite a while in order for it to pick up on my phone app.
This is a replacement for a faulty one. This won't work either. Checked and double checked settings but no luck. I'm not receiving any error messages or alerts. Now it has started to give me false alarms. Absolutely no use. In response to your question I have returned the item to you so therefore I am unable to do anything you suggest.
I bought these because they have a replaceable battery so you don't have to throw them away every year like Tile. Too bad the app is so unreliable that if you actually try to find a lost Lapa even with two phones and you know it's somewhere in your house neither phone can find it. Drains the battery on your phone.
I have three lapas - wallet and two sets of keys. Just great to find these items and if out of range, forces me to try harder and backtrack my activities so that I can detect the object. The lapa to phone trigger has stopped working, not sure why, even so 9/10 for these wee beasties.
cannot be used for main purpose - find things (or dog or kid) or hear, when Lapa tracker is going away from you. Looking for tracker is like wandering in dark and getting false istructions (with few seconds lag) in form of "getting closer" "keep going" or no signal, etc. Due to big lag of communication between tracker and phone you think you get real instruction, but in reality it only tells you wrong info. In shopping mall unusable. At home maybe.
A review of two parts.... Historically it has been invaluable and helped me find keys/wallet. Unfortunately it looks like the company did not survive covid and has disappeared :-(
This is great for me, as someone who, euh, occasionally misplaces things this is really helpful. I find the tether function is even training me to keep my keys, wallet and phone with me. ^^
I was able to find my bag at the airport when a non-helpful lost baggage clerk didn't find a record in the system. I knew it was nearby and pointed, "I am pretty sure it is in that room."
Buggy. Silent spots do not really work, I still get alerts. Back button goes into an endless loop in the app.
Cannot login or create new account. Keeps saying network problem! I haven't used it for a while so maybe my account is closed.
This is just what I needed, especially when your baby playing hide & seek with your car keys & house keys. 10q, I LOVE IT SO MUCH IT BRIGHTEN MY LIFE.
Unreliable. Should warn when battery needs replacement.
I love the app and the product especially but why no update since July what happened development of the app stopped
it's good but I'm only able to add a silent spot. should be able to add more
It's very helpful in many ways
Love it saved me hours looking for my keys
scam gathers and sells personal information
Must create an account before one can try
It's actually very nice!
its the best thing thanks
Has apparently ceased to exist
Tags are next to me and phone and still doesn't find them. Updated app etc new batteries and app finds tags now. Set up tye safe mode on a tag and getting alerts constantly. Turned safe mode of still getting alerts. Deleted tag an reinstalled still getting alerts. The software is just not right!
Updated in response to Dev. Switched to a new mobile with Android One (Android 9 Pie) and the Lapa app is just not working reliable now. App only runs for a short time in the background (safety mode) then just closes. Causes Lapa alarm to go off. App won't start again unless user manually restarts it. This means safety mode is pretty much pointless.
Best tracker out there! Would be great if the app could send a notification that the lapa's battery is low
For my test, I reported the device lost and wanted to see if it could be reported as found. The app is not reporting where lapa was left for my test. It just says "seen 30" whatever that means.
The keep moving option when the key/wallet is near but misplaced does work and helps you to find it. But if the device is not near and you left it somewhere at work or a friend's house, then the map shows where you are, with your mobile phone (the app), and not where the missing device is. It's not cheap and let me down a few times
