Applications that request Large Heap in the manifest are typically reducing user experience on the device. Per the developer docs:
"Most apps should not need this and should instead focus on reducing their overall memory usage for improved performance."

Android will terminate other apps' processes to free up system RAM for use by the large heap. This will result in slower multitasking and response times for your device
"…the ability to request a large heap is intended only for a small set of apps that can justify the need to consume more RAM (such as a large photo editing app). Never request a large heap simply because you've run out of memory and you need a quick fix"

I dont understand how to use it. It just looks like it's listing all my apps.
It needs to be able to show how much RAM it (each app) is/will use. That would make it a 5 Star app.
It detects the heap.. But please introduce a way to reduce it... Or so..
Just because the apps you're using are bad doesn't mean you should give this one a bad rating.
Ran a second time issue remains the same
and I use these gazillion offending apps. I'll run back to my ignorance hoping that those who can really do anything step up. I can't begin to uninstall most of these offending apps & of course those apps know it. That was a depressing install & quick uninstall
It would be better to show me which apps don't ask for LargeHeap, as the list would be shorter. There isn't enough actionable information to make this app worth keeping, so I'm not going to. Better luck next release.
Found this from twit, just wish we could do more than simply know which apps are doing it
90% of my apps fail this test. Hard to believe a mature operating system would allow this if it were as bad as this dev implies. I suggest instead that a cache defrag app might be a more reasonable rermedy

Sad to see the majority of my favorite apps use large heap. This app makes it very easy to find those culprit apps and either disable or uninstall them. The Dev is is very receptive to ways to improve the app and very quick to update.
