Improvements need to be made. When you select e-paper to read the newspaper you've subscribed to it just sits on the loading paper screen. It will not load and doesn't function. This is not a new issue either, it should have been corrected months ago. Don't waste your time subscribing to the Review Journal unless you're receiving the hard copy. Nothing but a headache. I just checked 4-16-2022. This error persists.

Absolutely horrible! Poorly designed and very user unfriendly with lots of click bait and a video that pops up repeatedly, obscuring 1/2 the screen, despite all attempts to close it. Articles are poorly written and are usually about trivial matters. The RJ isn't much of a newspaper, but its app is even worse. Las Vegas needs a better chronicler of current events. While (trying) to read the few actual news reports, be prepared to be assaulted by stupid ads that just won't take no for an answer.

I have the Review-Journal and pay for a subscription. My paper did not arrive today so I checked the online app and thought I'd give it a shot. Even though I pay for my subscription I'm still subjected to pop-up ads, and adverts throughout the body of the text, along with improperly formatted text I'm viewing on a mobile device. Piece of garbage. It took me about 5 minutes to uninstall this app. I tried loading the E paper offered and that button fails to do anything.

I tried the app, but I will be going back to viewing the website in Chrome. The only and biggest issue is that scrolling is unresponsive. I'll slide my finger up or down the screen and sometimes the page won't scroll and other times it takes a few seconds to respond. This is on a Pixel 4XL.

App was fine but after the latest update in early February I can't log in to my account. The app crashes.

It was crashing, but I reached out to the developer and they pushed out an update right away. All was good. Thank you for the proper response

I downloaded this app months ago and still have the same problem. When I click on ANY site that has a story from your publication I'm told I have to download the app to read the article. And when I open the app I have to use the search function, to find the story,because your layout of headline is abysmal. Update the app. Look at better apps and see how you might be able to make yours better.

I was so excited to finally have paid a subscription and start enjoying nicely written articles, however, when 6 videos start playing while I'm scrolling through the app it really turns me off. I am not free to choose what videos I want to have coming at me full speed. As others have reviewed, this autoplay format with Audio ON makes me want my money back. Please consider changing your app video format. I wanna support the local news.

I have not been able to access the E paper function for days now. Deleted cache and data and re installed the app. Still nothing. Samsung Galaxy S10 phone Android version 11. It just stays stuck on the ePaper login page and says "paper loading" but it never finishes. About ready to cancel this subscription.

Recent updates have made the app so buggy... I don't even want to read the paper on my phone anymore. The old version crashed and froze sometimes too, but this version is practically unusable. (running on a Galaxy 9+)

The app is unresponsive at times when scrolling on a note 9. This makes the experience frustrating. 10/19/202 - editing my review to add that the app now autoplays video ads with sound. Very annoying. Moved from 2 stars to 1.

terrible - constant notifications; no settings to turn them off, can't link to the articles because when I try to sign in it says my information is in the wrong format. It's the standard keyboard for this phone. Uninstalling.

Sorry they got so greedy! Both on-line and paper is so FULL of ADS that you hardly can read articles! I canceled and don't need them! There is better news sources that sell advertising and don't charge for the cable or on-line to read local news!! Lots of them in fact!! Bad idea if considering!

Source for local news but the app is almost unusable. Can't read most articles in the app because after scrolling down a paragraph it tends to freeze and not let me scroll more. If I can't read text articles in a news app then what use is it?

Really easy to use, well designed. Keeps you logged in for long periods, so you don't have to constantly log in again if it's been a while since using it. Highly recommended if you're subscribed to the online paper.

I like the app version where it is like a newspaper with the sections listed across the top. The version with only articles showing is very hard to navigate through to find things like comics.

Meh. It is very cool to be able to access the whole paper in the app, but the constant notifications are very annoying and there doesn't seem to be a way to stop them. I'm going to uninstall if i can't find a way to shut them down.

Update 8/5/19: This app is truly the WORST app I've ever used. I am not only extremely disappointed with the poor functioning of this app, I am angry about it. IT SUCKS!! Do you folks at the RJ even care?!?! It's evident you don't or you would have fixed the app by now. Update: 7/1/19. I had deleted this app from my phone since my last review and just started using it again..it is still horrible and still freezes up. Can't the RJ do anything to fix it?

App response is horrible - the app will freeze for minutes at a time, then will work again, but only for a few seconds. Too bad, since the content is good and I'm paying for a subscription.

For 2 months now this app will not open as it notes "Server error upon Settings request. I have Samsu g S4 Tablet and have called almost weekly for support. The RJ has no idea how to fix or just does not care. I will be asking for subscription credits as 50% of the time the printed newspaper is not available due to my travels. GT

Bring back the old app. It was far better in terms of layout, performance and user friendliness. This one is so difficult to use I don't use a third as often as I did its predecessor. New isn't always better, and this app is a prime example.

Still very buggy and poorly behaved. Locks up often. Released without adequate beta testing. Very frustrating

Using Samsung S21+ 5G, app refuses to exit.

Easy to use, but profile status and subscribers info not easy to access.

Love this new version of the mobile app!! It's faster and easier to navigate👍👍

App crashes constantly. Not worth the aggravation.

Cannot log in, the app will not allow me to enter the @ for my email address.
