Lasso - short, fun videos

This app is slower than dial up internet. Songs take forever to load. I couldn't add a song without the app crashing. There doesn't seem to be a way to add effects to a pre recorded video. The search function causes the app to crash too. Searching by hashtags only yields username results. This app is worthless. Stick to TikTok that doesn't crash every minute or so.

So happy that Facebook came out with this. It's new so I'm not expecting a TicTok clone. There is some lag time with certain songs downloading to create video... had to completely log out then back in just to get it to go away and make new one. A time delay before video starts and more filter options would be great! Keep working at it and I'm sure I'll be back for those five stars!

I only started today but am experienced in the short video creating on other apps. I like it but I feel it still needs some tweaking . I agreed to the remixing cos I'm a good sport but I do not think it's a good thing. People will start using it to cut down others that aren't as good or as creative. There needs to be a bigger variety of effects. And some trick effects like hands or blinking causes an action.

it needs work. it constantly forces tik tok creators in my feed, it doesnt allow you to sreach tags, they show me the same annoying videos, and they are exactly like tik tok only slightly worse. I wish you could draw on your own video, crop it, or decided how long the words stay on the screen. I also think it would be nice if you could add cool effects to your video after its filmed, and they would give new creators more of a chance to be featured and clear the page at the end of the day.

I like this app, though i would like it to improve somethings, it does not give you the options to record up to a minute and that sucks!! Also when i try to record from an audio it does not play entire audio at this point, i had rated it 5stars because I wanted to be better than tiktok!!! But it needs to improve, also cant write anything on videos 😖

The app runs like dial up internet imeaning it's extremely slow. Takes way to long for videos to be under review. And no filter change. Very little effects to choose from. Keep on working on it Facebook you will soon get the app on point. When that happens I will come back and change my review. I'm just giving my honest opinion.

this works horribly compared to tik tok. the recording is choppy and there are only 1/3 of the features shown in the screenshots. no matter what you do, also, the recommended page will always be there. there's no way to really see the posts by the people yoy follow. theres also no way to search tags, only usernames. step your game up, facebook. your competiton is kicking your ass.

app tries to be a tik tok competitor but without the best parts of tik tok. interface is trash, using audio clips is... missing or not a feature. its just a bad vine clone trying to pretend to be TikTok Dont install or waste your time until they build something more useful, usable, and that solves a problem rather than saying "oh, yrah, we can do that but worse" its like they set the dev team lose without a proper product roadmap or core user group in mind.

Terrible video qualities!!!!!!! Slow!!!!!! Videos don't post automatically!!!! Could use alot of improvements, features, and updates!!!! Sorry Facebook, I would still choose Tiktok a billion times over Lasso if that's what it comes down to. With the current quality of Lasso, I don't find it attractive at all! Just a heads up to all the developers, if you are trying to impress people, DON'T FAIL THEM THE FIRST TIME OR THEY WON'T EVER COME BACK!!!!!

So firstly, the app literally looks like and functions like TikTok. I myself don't mind this but some might. Every video comes up in Spanish (like 98%) with no way to filter video languages or origin country/etc.. TikTok is from China and yet there's more videos in English from the country I live in. Also until today I had never seen this app advertised and only knew of it because I was searching apps made by Facebook. Would have much better videos if people knew of the app.

I really enjoy this app, sometimes i do get some lag or when creating a video the effects take a while to come up. But I'm sure they'll work out the bugs. When that happens I'll def give it five stars. But this is a really fun app, I really like it.

To much of a language barrier. If the app had a language preference would be easier. Idk Spanish and just about every video is in Spanish or similar I've seen. This app isn't for me and I'll be sticking with tiktok and likee.

Has potential. Videos load fast, has an innovative hashtag feature on the recommended videos page. However Tik Tok is still king. With Tik Tok, you can upload videos, lipsync to other users sounds, do duets, reactions videos, zoom by swiping up while recording, and it has a lot more content and users to work with. I don't see a comment section on Lasso either. It's a brand new app so we need to let Lasso grow and see if this changes. It's not bad but it could be better - Facebook obviously rushed this one in response to Tik Tok's skyrocketing user growth.

I think lasso is a great app Ive only used it for three days and it has been great! an amazing comunity with amazing creaters the only problam is that there is no hands free mode and the top creater page is a little weird. people with less likes and shares will be higher up than me and thats weird but other than that lasso has been amazing and unlike tik tok ( musically) it actually gives new people a chance to be seen

Basically a TikTok ripoff, and a really bad one as well. Very limited search features, designed mostly for teens and young adults, very reliant on a trending tab and not much room for new creators. It's one thing for Facebook to try and buy/replace all other social medias and it's another thing entire for them to make very poor ripoffs of something because it's "what kids want these days". I'm just glad I could delete my account and uninstall with no problems.

it only allows for 15 seconds per video, which is fine for some things, but not quite long enough for others. A comment area might be nice. So far, it's like Tik Tok used to be. More capabilities and options for the creators of videos would be great. I don't mean just a few. Why just make an inferior clone? Make this with new stuff not seen before? Also, allowing a nickname instead of just your Facebook name would be nice too.

I have read reviews comparing this app to another, which is a fair assessment. However, Lasso is an improved version. Same policies that I'm used to on FB and Insta, so I don't have to worry about being "banned" or reported for nonsense. They've also seemed to navigate the copyright issue!! Much more trending music available! If they could get the marketing right, this app could replace all others like it. Updates are NOTICABLE improvements and advancements. Highly recommend jumping on early!!

I love that it is an app owned by Facebook and not a third party app!! And the sharing capabilities are awesome!!! No more using another app, downloading then uploading it to Facebook... it can all be done in one place! And will save on storage space on my phone!

I'm happy that Facebook is making a replacement to vine/TikTok! I know this is it's initial release and I seem to be running into tons of bugs, but I love the idea and I can't wait to see the progress made!

Horrible. It shows only videos in your language. Repetitive content. Doesn't allow private videos and likes. Doesn't allow downloads from other users. Slow, and so on...

Boring! It is like TikTok with less options. Content is mostly re-uploaded from TikTok as well. Looks like a cheap facebook money grab to join the frenzy. I don't know why some people compare it to vine. Vine was cool and original content made by people without much restrictions. Lasso is more like a cheap copy with people creating content that already exists... It's an uninstall for me!

This app is just like tik Toc but you anything with it. it takes forever to load just one picture and when you try to do something with it it just either crashes or doesn't load I don't recommend to stop for anybody just get tik Tok it's better

PROS: No comment section. It's just a cool little quirk to this app that I think is going to be really good. Also, most people can't have a bio and I don't really know why but I like it. CONS: You can't upload videos. I understand the reasoning but I think being able to upload videos from somewhere else is going to be really important for this app.

I love make funny vids with this app, but I saw my freind be able to insert memes, use text, have a flipable camera, and a hands free camera (with a timer). All of these are NOT available to me. I still highly enjoy making vids and love doing it, but the Lasso experience would be cooler if i could get these updates :). Again i love the app, it is fun and simple to use!!

Very much like vine, though some of the interface is confusing. I cant seem to search tags, only users. I search interests- thats how i find users to follow. 😔 I can't figure it out, but why are all the videos so pixelated? I have a normal size smartphone (lg stylo 4) and high speed connection, so why is every vid a pixelated mess? I *like* it better than tiktok, its got that vine appeal, but its harder to use, and the vids themselves are harder to watch. Needs more development. 👍

Alright Lasso. Nice start here but you have some work to do: 1. Video editing is seriously lacking! Big thumbs down! 2. Sucks you can only save 1 draft at a time? 3. Notifications need a way to be filtered. Along with user videos vs. Lasso's on profiles 4. Need to be able to filter songs and save for later use 5. Need to make longer videos. Otherwise I like how this is tied to IG and it could become the next TT if community guidelines stay more user friendly.

Fun... needs a few more font and sticker options. Could be more user friendly, but it's getting there. It's a race to see if it can out tick TikTok or not.

In all honesty I think this is just a larger company trying to make an app similar to one already popular. It controls fine but that cant make me overlook the fact that many other apps provide the same service already, not to mention the other things are better anyways.

App doesn't work on my Motorola 5 Plus. Once you try to play the videos the screen turns black. I can hear the videos playing... I my can't see em. Useless.

UPDATE! Everything works better now since I last posted a review, and thank God that I can now make my bio the way it's supposed to be! Now, all that Lasso needs is more challenges on the regular and a support team for people that have issues, problems or questions. Lastly, just need more people to stay active. I know we have our lives, but it's good if we can get more people to stay dedicated.
