Laudate - #1 Free Catholic App

I'm sure it's a great app for people who are raised as catholics, but for a potential joiner of the faith I find the lack of explanation of anything on the sections (and particularly the rosary pages) very very unhelpful and confusing. I don't know how to use this app. This is definitely for people who attended catholic schools and not for newbies.

The order of mass is hard to follow with all the extra text (mostly the red text) interspersed - I am always looking to see where the priest is. What would help is when it time for the Eucharist Prayer, a list of the 3-4 is provided with the introductory paragraph and a link to the extended text. I only give it a 3 otherwise I would give a 5!

I have been using this app for over 5+ years, especially the Legion of Mary. It is soothing and easy to recover from disbelief and stress I find that it keeps me focused and relieves my stress of everyday life. I recommend this program to everyone. God Bless!!

I love it! There are a few typos here and there, and the interface has a slightly outdated feel, but I love it. Two complaints: the rosary audio doesn't let you skip back to a certain part you didn't hear, and you have to skip back to the beginning. Also, the interactive virtual rosaries are just klunky and tedious to use. Edit: Old typos in confession pages are still there.

I love this app! It's a wonderful resource, but it isn't user friendly. The set up is clunky and bland. The whole format can be updated for better navigation and improved prayer experience. I wish there were notifications/reminders for prayer and ways to be more interactive with the user. There could also be interactive devotionals with a daily tracker. Overall to have an interactive faith experience with a well organized and updated format would really improve this app's experience.

I think this app is really comprehensive.. However, it definitely has some kinks that make using it annoying if not difficult. I start with morning prayer and very, very often when I attempt to switch to Bible verse for the day, it keeps on searching for an extended period of time. I have to uninstall and install again in order to continue. I would be a happy camper if this could be corrected.

Static Rosary 'image' is a clunky addon that needs to be revised. If you click anywhere outside of the next virtual bead, in the Rosary or Divine Mercy applets, it tells you 'Please follow the order of the Rosary,' which is not only distracting, but it's unhelpful.... Picking the desired mystery is a bit cumbersome as well as it's not intuitive to press the X for that option. There's also a noticeable delay with the app itself, lacks flow and seems to rely a bit too much on external content.

This is an enjoyable, appreciated and interesting app. It's quite easy to navigate. There are many items of the Laudate to explore, learn from & with which to pray.----- Some items can be used without WiFi or Data, some can not. (The app would be huge if everything was available offline.) --- I think the calendar is very, very useful to find today's Readings. --- The only glitch that I have found is that the choice of Latin Rosary gives the text in English, not Latin. The Latin prayer section's prayers are, indeed, in Latin- just as we learned them back in the olden days. --- I want to publicly thank the developer for creating this app and giving it to all of us to enjoy and from which to learn and re-learn! Excellent app for the price. A tip, one I only just discovered, if you select the spanner in the home page and then select English readings, you can change the source for English readings. By default it's for US Catholics, but by changing the English readings source you will get the daily readings for your region! It's True. All of it. And it's free!

It's a fantastic app for those who want to intentionally seek Christ and know His ways. Daily scriptural readings and meditation are very helpful.

I noticed that whe you want to go back fro anything you're reading it takes you back to the contents. There's no single step back to previous which is honestly annoying

I am disappointed with this app. I have had it for years with no problems until the last year. It goes into a loading cycle and remains stuck for seconds to minutes without changing mode. I have had to uninstall and reinstall several times. But the problem continues to exist. I will probably have to remove this app permanently.

Many different functions for different people. Very responsive. What I would like to see is some embedding of features and not that it takes you to an external site. I understand that's comphrensive, expensive, and time consuming but it would be awesome to see that in future updates. Thank you!

I love the selection of prayers for every need in your life as well as daily Bible readings. It's great. You learn different prayers.

Incredible!!! I especially love that I have access to prayers on Latin. I highly recommend this app to everyone no matter where your walk with the Lord is.

The app is good but it needs a redesign. For example when you want to read the Bible the text is not responsive and it's difficult to read it because it's white letters and a yellow background so it almost doesn't have enough contrast to read it easily. They should add more prayers as the one for the students.

Thus is the Best Bible app for me. Easy to access and follow, Everything I need for home and accessible while at Church.

Have been using Laudate for several years without issue. As of the update marked for 12/28/20 the application periodically crashes during use, whether reading text or in the middle of a podcast during daily reflection. It is understood this may be due to a compatibility issue given it is installed on Android 5. Perhaps this will be addressed by the next update.

Love this app. Easy to use and has a variety of features that help with Christian devotion

The My Prayers section is a gold mine. Haven't found this anywhere else. It could be an app all by itself. Please don't change it but would love it even more if you could 1) "ghost" or "checklist" prayers so you know what you have left to say 2) a drag up-down reorder feature would be great 3) Expanded text capacity for prayers.

Puts many things right at your fingertips. The "My Prayers" section is highly customizable, and I have been adding my favorite prayers, chaplets, and sets of complete scriptural Rosaries to it. Awesome! You can imbed simple html tags to customize the way your prayers, chaplets, etc. look on the screen. Font colors, bold, italic, etc. I create on my tablet, and then export it, and finally import my work to my phone, so I can have it with me at all times. I'm loving this part of it. Thanks!

It's overall okay. It has good resources but the loading times can be very long even with high speed internet/data. Also, the interface is bad and the text can often be formatted strangely which makes it more difficult to read.

Love the app but lately it keeps crashing altogether, opening with some computer speak jargon or taking so long to load a particular page, that I finally have to give up trying altogether. To the point now I am having to use other websites instead. Please fix the bugs. Thanks and God bless.

Absolutely love this app! Was told about it by a dear friend before I was brought in to the church almost three years ago and have loved it ever since. Both of my RCIA instructors even suggested it. I have had absolutely zero problems with it. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who was searching for a good catholic app to use on their phones.

I love the reflections of this app under daily readings. It teaches me many things and helps me to see scripture in a different angle. The drawback is that it takes a very long time to load the daily readings. I Do not know about the rest as i only go to that section.

This is an excellent app. I use it for all the daily readings and reflections. And there are many other options for practising our daily Catholic devotions. There are also regular updates. However, there are some apps that don't work on my phone. I have sent messages to the technical staff, but have not seen any changes.

Best Catholic App. This app has all the prayers and everything you need for Mass and is a great reference. I use mine at mass weekly and the rosary daily. It is constantly being updated with the latest fixes and new content. It is must have for any Catholic and anyone interested in the church. A+ well done and very user friendly.

Might be good for beginners, but I'm not impressed with an app that simply takes me to the USCCB page for the readings. I could do that myself in Chrome. I was looking to find an app that provides the Entrance and Communion Antimony, which we are expected to recite but aren't on the USCCB page and I often can't hear the lector or there isn't one so all I hear is people mumbling at antiphon time. Laudate provided nothing to help me. Uninstalled.
