Launch Sites

Great app for finding new access points. I am especially impressed with the safety features that make your trip details available to friends and family. One suggestion I would add to the email is a link to optionally add the trip's planned end date/time as a calendar item to pop-up a reminder for friends and family to not forget to check on their paddlers.

This is everything I want in one easy to use app. I have tried forest service, state,and national park website as well as pocket ranger type apps. Just trying to plan new trips. They were all a pain in my but. This app give paddlers reviews and pictures, Google maps, and directions to launch points for lakes, rivers, and all sorts of navigable waters. With list of amenities. Awesome awsome app. Thanks for making this.

So underwhelming. I want the Alltrails/Trailforks of paddling but this is effectively just a map of boat ramps. I'm unable to search/filter by features (like parking) or find paddle trails of a certain type (no whitewater, calm, out-and-back). Favorites don't show up on the website. Creating a "trip" is way too complicated and regimented - I just want a simple bucket to store options in with personal notes. And dont nag me about PFD every startup. Once is enough. So much lost potential.

It is extremely difficult to set up an account on this app. When they send email s, that have not come through, even in spam. I tried two different email accounts, with the same outcome. Eventually, I uninstalled the app. The next day (one week after the email was expected), it finally arrived in my inbox.

Good app for finding & planning paddling routes. Would be a big help if saved routes could be edited and copied by the creator. Also when selecting a trip, you should be able to select one of the paddling points in it, and the app should take you to it on the map, and highlight all the points in the journey plan on the map.

Useless. From the nagging, patronising "I always wear my life jacket" button you be to press every time the app restarts (which it does whenever you navigate to another app, even for a few seconds), to the lack of any info about which waterways are navigable, to only being able to plot a "route" between the extremely sparse, random POIs that people have added. Not sure what this is useful for.

Hopefully this gets seen and the app updated, but it would be nice for the app to have a home screen with your profile/photo with easy access to my trips. I know the website has mytrips so you can see all your past trips, descriptions, photos, ect, but again it would be nice to have that on the app, perhaps attached to a home screen. Another tab that would be useful would be to the forum that can be found on the actual site.

Nice app but it could use one "feature". Developer, please make this app auto-rotate. There are tablets and Chromebooks out here that work better in landscape. Sure, most people aren't going to take their tablet or Chromebook out paddling but what about sitting on the couch planning the next trip? Sure would be handy.

Its great for finding places to paddle. However, I can't add photos or comments as it keeps telling me I'm not signed in. I've reset my log ins, can log in online, ive uninstalled and reinstalled app and still have the same issue. Fix the fact we can't add photos and comments and then it'll be a fantastic app!

Good: showed me lots of local put ins I didn't know about. Bad: No scale bar!!! Trying to plan a trip, and I have no idea whether that next potential access point is 2 miles away or 5 or... Scale bars have been a standard feature on all maps since before Mercator!

The app is great, but the trip planning needs work. It forces you to add an additional paddler even if you're traveling solo, so it might give someone you share your trip with the false impression that you are traveling with someone else. (The share actually says "Who am I paddling with" and lists your info) It would make more sense if your kayak/PFD info was part of your profile and auto-added to every trip you create and you would only add additional paddlers if you are actually with someone.

Old version's ramp locator was easy to use and you just had to maneuver thru a map. It was Easy to scan to an area and plan drop in and pull out locales in PA, MD, DE, and NJ. I tried again to use this new version after it being around for awhile. Keeps showing me dots in the middle of a few islands on the James River.

Great app! One feature I'd love to see is the functionality of the website through the app. The website has links to articles and tons of other stuff and it would be cool to see this through the app in a feed instead of having to go through the webpage to get all the additional content.

Want to find a new place to paddle? This app is great. It would be better if people using it would add pictures or problems. One thing I encountered is Google maps is sometimes wrong on it's directions to the chosen place.

Constant authentication problems. When I try to add information on the map I am usually prompted to authenticate even though I'm already logged in. So cannot contribute. This may explain why information on the map is often out of date. They should try to emulate the way google maps lets you add information about places and make it just as easy.

I haven't put the app to ise uet, but ibwish there was a way to tell you the distance via water it was from pit in to pull out. Other than that, looks great. i hope they add something loke that in the near future, I am looking for that capability.

TERRIBLE app. It measures distance when only ONE point is chosen. 10 miles, from where?! It makes planning a trip impossible. I selected two points that I KNEW fell under 4 miles, and it claimed 8.5........ Garbage, don't waste your time.

Enjoying this app as it helps to find potential launch points near me. Thank you! The only thing that keeps me from giving it a five stars is that when I use my back button it exits me from the app. This is highly irritating as I have to restart it and do everything all over again.
