Device compatibilityThis launcher may or may not work correctly depending on your device and Android version. It is guaranteed to work on the Nexus 4 and 5. Sadly, AOSP Launcher3 does not support tablets due to missing code for landscape orientation. I tried to make it work as best as I could on the Nexus 7 but it is far from how Google intended the launcher to behave. I’m not expecting to create big workarounds in order to keep the code easily updatable from AOSP. Look for alternatives on the Play Store by developers that are more comfortable with changing the AOSP code.
Frequently asked questions
• The application icons on my device are not the same as on KitKat devices, what gives? The icons do not come from the launcher, generally. Some launcher might change the icons around but that is not what Launcher+ is about.
• Why am I missing the transparent lockscreen/status bar/buttons?Transparency is dependent on your Android version. If transparency is available KitKat Launcher+ will make use of it. Guaranteed to work on Android 4.4.
Known issues
• Icon size is locked in the drawer in landscape on tablets (to prevent issues)
• Google Search Bar does not work as intended in landscape on tablets
• On some devices the launcher just refuses to work.

Long time user, I too lost my screen setup due to the update. Backup should really be standard since dev doesnt really check updates before releasing them to the play store.
Its great if you want the look and feel of Google now launcher. Its not same in terms of opening google now by swiping from main screen and the "ok google" feature is not present. Overall its a good launcher for those who want to use google now launcher, but, are experiencing some lag while using it.
I wanted something that allowed 3 things, removing search bar from all screens as it took up way to much space. Reduce icon size so I could have what I wanted on home screen. My home screen now contains a calender widget (resized) and scroll-able agenda mode, stock email widgets that shows combined view of every email account without having to open email app. and 9 most commonly used apps. Rarely do I every have to leave this screen! Great job!
I don't like Lollipop nor its Google Now Launcher all white background in name of Material Design, no option to hide apps & Google Search bar.Having Nexus 5 I updated to Lollipop but this excellent launcher not working fully in Lollipop....pls fix soft keys & status bar transparency...rest all fine...I love KitKat & its transparency...be this launcher as KitKat Launcher substitute..don't make it like Lollipop....
Won't load at all. Real pity as it was perfect until then.
It is excellent but It has a small bug. Some widgets do not appear in widget menu. For me this launcher doesn't show Samsung radio fm widget. Hope fix this soon. Thanks for great and smooth launcher.
No hide apps, no menu button customize, no custom icons. Not a suitable replacement for ugly ROMS.
be aware that when you download and install the update, it resets all your already set up home page and app icons. you have to redo it all
A pretty good launcher, no updates in over 3 years but okay. At least add a Android N icons.
Works great. Tried other well known launchers but always had probs. Phone runs so much better, smoother

It would be nice if it supports icon packs and being able to add folders in the app drawer.
You have created exactly what I've been struggling to find:-) A bare bones launcher with a home screen I can customize. No bloat and no intrusive bs. Thank you again! Big improvement on battery drain.
The launcher is good and simple and just like stock which is good but problem is that kitkat iconpack should be provided with the app.
Good but can't arrage icons in drawer page as per user needs. This thing is most important thing for a professional user.
Please fix the icon msge. It does't show the notification msges. Unless i open it. But still i love this launcher..
It doesn't even start. Update: problem fixed after update, i guess. Its great for my low spec 2nd device
I finally got the 99% accurate kitkat stock launcher for my phone because it has its own launcher that did not look like a kitkat stock launcher. 99 because it has the preference settings on the menu. I thought it would open the system settings app.

I can use it without google search 👍✌ but the icons should be of a higher resolution

I will provide 5 star if icon packs of Nova or go launcher etc is supported. And adding widgets creates lots of free space on top which is not cool.
Nice launcher but please fix this launcher for 10.1 inches devices.All things in this launcher are good.For the widgets section in landscape are good whereas in the portrait mode the widgets are too thick.Please fix this with an update.I have already purchased the pro key.Thanks.
It's okay. Reminds me a lot of Google now launcher without the cards. The settings are way better than googles launcher but proves to be too simple for me.
Best KitKat launcher ever... Only one problem: when in landscape mode you can't uninstall or remove apps. Also this app needs icon packs.

As warned in the update notes, the latest update reset all settings to default. Lost all app shortcuts and widgets. Make a backup before updating! The fixed screen number also resets to the number that you have icons on... ignoring any setting you put in manually (deletes empty screens). Fast response by the developer, and now fixed. Great launcher.
