LauncherPro Plus Unlocker

Important: PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE PURCHASING!
Notice: Due to recent changes in the Gmail app that prevent 3rd party apps from accessing your inbox, the LauncherPro Gmail widget is not working with version 2.3.5+ of the Gmail app. If you have version 2.3.4 or lower, the widget should continue to work fine.

This app unlocks the Plus features in LauncherPro. You must have the latest version of LauncherPro (free) installed on your phone. This app will not show in your app drawer and it just acts as a license key to unlock the Plus features.

After installing this, restart LauncherPro (by clicking Menu > Preferences > Restart LauncherPro) and you should now be running LauncherPro Plus. You can check this by pressing Menu > Preferences, then under LauncherPro it should say "LauncherPro Plus vX.XX"

This Unlocker only works with the official LauncherPro releases. Modded/themed versions of LauncherPro will not be unlocked by this app.

All of you A$$hats that gripe that it doesn't get some minor bugfix or minor feature every other day need to find a hobby. It's a well known fact that the author intended to do a top to bottom rewrite to optimize code and bring the latest and greatest forward. The fact that this is STILL one of the top launchers despite the meager half year since a rewrite is incredible. Can't wait to see the rewrite

This used to be a great launcher for android but has since been overtaken by a multitude of different launchers that receive frequent updates from their developers. It's about time that the rewrite of LPP is released to the people that have purchased this app... time for Fede to come out of his cave and make due on his promises..

I have used ADW, Go Launcher, ZEAM, and a bunch of others out there. However, I kept coming back to this one. LauncherPro, for my hardware, offers the best experience and the least lag of all the other launchers out there that I have tried. All launchers have their pros and their cons. However, I have not found any cons as of yet using this software, and the unlock price is well worth it to support this developer's fine work.

The other homescreens may include other transitions and eyecandy but they just can't beat the stability and careful attention to quality that is LauncherPro. We're all waiting for the eventual rewrite, but Federico is a cautious dev who doesn't want to rush the product and I applaud him for his product thus far.

I love my Nexus One, but with the Gingerbread update the stock launcher would get very sluggish then FC’s every two or three days. It was getting to be like a flashback to my old WinMo phone. I went looking for something more stable and settled on a Launcher Pro. Launcher Pro offers a much better experience – more home screens, scrollable dock, widgets, better navigation, and much more stable. Upgraded to the Plus version – well worth the $$.

From a 5 star rating to a 1. Updated software to Android 4.0 ICS and LP is no longer compatible with my HTC Rezound. It isn't the HTC Sense either, because I still had HTC Sense before I updated and it worked. Please, PLEASE update. I loved LP, I even PURCHASED LPPlus! I don't want a refund, I want LPP to work on my phone!

LauncherPro was a GREAT launcher while it still was supported... unfortunately Federico Carnales abandoned it about two years ago (the last updated date was May 17, 2011, and this unlocker was last updated March 29, 2011). Even without any support over the past two years, it still is considered one of the better launchers out there, and the only reason it isn't considered one of the best launchers is that it is starting to become a little dated. It is small, fast, and has many great features, unfortunately as it ages it also doesn't have some of the great features available in the newer versions of Android. I would love to see this launcher supported and developed again, it was ahead of it's time when it came out.

Clearly the developer has made is money and decided to run with his earnings as more and more users have paid for this abandon ware launcher. It will work in the 2.1 ~ 2.2 froyo roms and with the 2.3 ginger bread roms but not in the 4.0 ICS roms. When you visit the forums, he has not made a presents and his site has been spammed by spammers. Clearly this developer has given up with developments and current support for the 4.+ roms such as Ice Cream Sandwich and the Jellybean. Fools are the ones that will defend this developer because there is no support past the 2.3 roms and it will eventually become outdated. The excuse of a Gmail API as other alternatives are being developed by other developers. Be Warned, nothing but Force close and the program will not work in the 4.XX roms. To think that this developer has not a clue or does not know of the problems with this now obsolete app. You wonder why he has stopped the development. Look for other alternatives, there are so many of them.

Pros: smooth and light weight launcher. Some customization options but it is starting to lag behind GoLauncher Cons: The widgets are not worth the $3.50. This app has not been updated since May 2011. Instead of updating the app they just issue a warning stating that the gmail widget will no longer work. All in all a decent launcher but don't buy the Plus. You get all you need from just the launcher. The widgets are pretty worthless since it seems to be abandoned now.

I tried to make MotoBlur work for me, I tried ADW (and purchased it), and though it was a step in the right direction, it was a little buggy/glitchy, and also not quite as customizable as I would like. LauncherPro is great- it's lightweight, very customizable, fancy if you want it to be, and otherwise gets out of your way. I immediately bought the unlock key, not for the features, but to show my appreciation.

Hey the interface is wonderful and fits right in with my wallpapers. Only thing I Hate is That there are no custom dock Icon Changes. If The Widget themes were applicable to the dock icons I would give it a full 5.

I don't know what these idiots below are on, but if you just check out the free app, you will notice that you do not have access to any widgets unless you unlock it. The gmail and calendar widget with the honeycomb skin (you can find for free in the market) makes it awesome!

Have used the free version of LauncherPro on many an occasion on my rooted Sony Ericsson X8 and it really does make the Android experience all the more pleasurable. Very fast to load, smooth effects and very stable. Have just decided to buy the app to support the developer.

this launcher is bloated, buggy, and outdated. the developer has ceased all work on the project, and no longer responds to requests for help or suggestions on the forum. you're much better off going with Apex Launcher - free and up to date!

Unfortunately, this was constantly causing crashes on my phone. I loved everything about the layout options this app provides and the quick response... but the price of using this app was not having a working phone for 60% of the time. ADW is now my chose for a launcher. Much more stable.

I've used Launcher Pro for years on an older phone, but on my new HTC One X, it is horrible. It actually prevented me from receiving incoming calls and texts. It is simply unacceptable that an app would prevent my phone from doing the basic things that a phone is designed to do. I wasted six weeks working with AT&T technical support, and went through THREE PHONES before I realized that Launcher Pro was the problem. It's a shame, because this was a must-have app for me in the past. But no longer. I'm sorry to say this, but STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS APP. Switched to Apex Launcher and am much, much, much happier. I will be uninstalling LP as soon as I submit this review.

The developer didn't abandon it smartassess, Fede is working daily at rewriting the code to improve it further, read up on his forum before you claim something like that. Also if it works as it should, why is it automatically bad because of the lack of frequent updates? Just because he hasn't updated it in a while doesn't mean it'll stop working as it has previously. Give him some time dammit!

Just got the Samsung note and really liked it except for the lag was driving me crazy. Tried a few free versions of a Launcher. This is my first Android phone so wasn't sure what to expect. When I got to this one it was spot on and does just what it says. A lot of ways to customize and smooth and fast which makes my phone work at its best and I really enjoy using it now. This app made me decide to keep using a droid or switching back to something else. After playing with the free version I had to get the pro. Great app! Thank you!

Mainly upgraded to Plus so I could use the People widget, but its not picking up my favorite friend group (Desire HD), so doesn't work as a speed-dialler like I wanted. Had more success with the Twitter widget which is nicely done, and the resizable widgets are worthwhile. More than happy to pay $3.49 for having LauncherPro anyway, amazing launcher.

Ever since I got the Gingerbread 2.3.3 update, it has crashed just about every single time I've tried to open something. I don't think I can clear or restart much anything else on my phone. I have no clue why it's doing this. But I love it, nonetheless.

A. G. u. Oct 3, 2011

Downgrading from 5 to 1. The app is abandoned, hasn't updated in a long while; no email support either, just forum. So badly outdated, new apps and widgets won't even work with it any more. It just goes into an endless fc loop with no possibility of getting out of it. Had to do a factory reset to get my phone back. Switched to go launcher ex and all the problems disappeared. It's amazing what a piece of garbage this app has become in a short space of one year. Abolutely unacceptable for a paid app! Regret buying, this dev doesn't deserve support. Good bye and good riddance!

I really like how this launcher works and I love the customization. I find that it takes my bettery life down to two hours, though, so I cannot keep it. I wonder if I'm missing something since I'm sure not everyone else who loves it is tethered to a charger...

I'm using the Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0 I think i have tried just about every launcher out there that would work on this device. I always come back to LauncherPro. When it comes to buttery smoothness and battery life, it just can't be beat. You want a prettier or more feature laden launcher, well it's out there. But if you want simple, get it done, clean interface launcher, then this is it.

Using D2G. Was great until last update. Force closes constantly now. I have faith there will be a fix as updates are frequent enough.

I don't know if its my phone but when I have 7 screens its slow and choppy to preview all screens. x 10

I've been using this app for three phones now: HTC Evo, Evo 4G LTE, and now on the Galaxy Note 2. I love the layout and the sleek style - so much better than native launchers. This app rarely crashed on my HTC phones, but now on my Samsung, it seems like it crashes almost daily - sometimes up to three times in a day. It's not a huge deal, easy enough to work around, but it's annoying, considering I paid for it, twice, now. Would definitely like to see an update with fixes, until then, only 3 stars from me.

LP+ rocks my socks off. Other Launchers are good too, and I give Kudos to the developers. They can do stuff that most us can only wish we could do and I wish people could stop squirming about bad codes and start giving some productive feedback that will help improve apps/launchers. But I have to hand it to the LP dev. Good job. I cant put my phone (Droid X) down. The UI is smooth and actually useful. Its fancy enough to be eye candy but not too fancy to be useless. Its utility use is unprecedented!! Peace!

It's really disappointing to see a developer walk out on a project like this. If he doesn't want to continue developing LauncherPro, he should give control of the project to the community so it can be further updated.
