LaView Connect

Barebones app with horrible interface. I can't zoom when the video is paused. Why? Also, it fails constantly, and you have to keep clicking the refresh button hoping you dont have to do a hard reset on the machine to get it working again. Can't you just put in an auto retry option instead? It's good when it works, though.

Horrible application. I constantly have to go and readjust the motion detection and sensitivity because it keeps resetting itself on the doorbell. I also have to consistently force close the app to view the camera because it will not load. The doorbell does not activate the video/audio chat when rung, it only pops a notification saying that the action was cancelled

The motion detection and notification no longer works. No matter how you set the detection points, it randomly creates its own. Even at the highest detection level, it still does not work. Enabled all app permissions and still does not work.

Needs dewarping image for doorbell. I'd like to receive a notification to accept or reject call, instead of app popping up and closing a game; Ring does that. Needs direct connection (port forwarded) to the doorbell without going p2p. Right now its 50/50 functional with Halo One doorbell. Nice hardware, terrible software. Laview should consider unifying all their apps into one, with combined functionality.

This is single handedly the WORST piece of software and hardware I've yet to deal with. Can't even friggen connect to the network for setup and the app crashes while trying to do so, I get 'software exception' and freezes the app. Returning this POS product and going with something else. NOT WORTH YOUR TIME

The camera worked great before the most recent firmware update on 3/6/19 - the camera's resolution degraded completely and some features (e.g., multi-window view, audio, etc.) have been removed. I contacted their support and they said to reset the camera. Upon resetting the camera multiple times, the camera's performance is still compromised. Through multiple emails, support did nothing to resolve the issue. Very poor customer service and shoddy camera resolution. Avoid this company at all costs.

As mentioned by others, notifications stopped after latest update. Laview support says reason is a recent change in Google's policies. Don't know what policies. No estimate when it will be fixed. Until then unit is useless as it doesn't send alerts for motion or bell ring.

Version 3.7.1.0221 seems to have broken the notifications to the phone when the doorbell rings. The recorded videos are also distorted when played back in full screen. The usefulness of the doorbell camera is next to nothing now.

The app constantly logs me out on pixel 3 XL. I haven't received any notifications from the app because of that. When it was working, if I got notifications, they can't be swiped away. The app needs a LOT of work.

I agree with all the latest reviews. The last update on March did more damage then good. It seems that more bugs were installed than fixed. Is there no Quality Control that tests the updates before a new release is pushed out ? If you are trying to compete with RING, you need to get your developers and quality teams to do their job.... Right now I feel that I wasted my money on junk and should have gone with RING.

Do not buy. Avoid at all cost. Everyone should get there money back. This is the WORST product I have ever owned. The software does not work, and the customer service is a joke. Completely useless and almost deceptive. I tried for MONTHS to get the app working, too get the doorbell working, to get the wifi cameras to load in the app, etc. Nothing works. No support. The app is almost unusable. How is it possible that this company is in business... Get the app working!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Update messed it up. After that i now can not see my cameras online. It will not connect to them even though they are online. It keeps saying unable to connect! Now when im on a trip i can not see anything!

[USE NVMS7000 INSTEAD!] This is so bad, some motion alarm can playback and some cannot. Lower bitrate ones seem to play fine, higher bitrate cannot. It plays fine on NVMS7000 or iVMS 4500HD. This is really a crappy app.

The recent update has been causing lots of glitches with the app. I am unable to remotely view the camera footage. It always says failed to load which is riduclous. Everything was fine until the recent update smdh. Same issue again june 15th 2020

Literally the worst app I've ever used...EVER! Won't connect my camera to my WiFi, I tried EVERYTHING...including calling customer service. They couldn't do it either. Waste of time and money.

viewed the video but splicing after "scan the QR code" is defective. next step is " tap the connect to network button" but there is no such button. I am unable to get to the "Configure WiFi Info with the QR Code button". your video and app needs some work.

Was working great until the last update. Now doorbell no longer alerts app nor does motion detection. Totally useless. They need to revert to old app version before recent update.

Remote viewing ceased working, getting failure to load errors (#245416) when nothing else on my network has changed. Hopefully this is something that the developers can fix ASAP

This app like other similar for the same type of doorbell cameras are really poorly designed and user's unfriendly. There is no way to download the recorded files from the ad card. Quite useless app variation of the Hikvision connect.

my liveview doesnt update its locked on an image from last month. my notifications work and it takes pictures of objects in its range but playback doesnt work...

I no longer recieved notification from motion detector or when they push the doorbell. please fix this problem. there is no point purchasing this device if it's not going to do what its supposed to do.

The doorbell will become offline after several hours, and no way to reconnect. Request reset doorbell and redo everything. Then, the doorbell is offline, again. Can't use it.

App stopped working on all of our family's 4 phones. Uninstalled app thinking it would help. Now app wont install. PLEASE take a portion of your profits and get an app that actually WORKS!

Well, you all think this is the worst thing ever, but i thing its perfect. I never miss a baby horse being born, (or i chose to sleep,) and i can watch our horses! I love this app, p.s, im not a computer, im real.

As just about every other review indicates, this app doesn't work! I had the LaView NET app, that was functional and did what I needed! No idea why they abandoned it?

Switched phones(lg g4 to pixel 2) seems like notifications do not work. Anyone else experiencing this; support is useless as usual.FIX PUSH NOTIFICATIONS

WORST abomination the Chinese have ever tried to rip others off with! App does NOT work as per cam instructions! No QR code to scan. Also, app uses Huawei servers to store credentials AND access to your smartphone!!! HUGE no-no!

Whats the point in the app to view camera remotely if nothing works on the app. It shows all my camera but nothing will live view. It will only do play backs
