Love it! Simple and clean. The only complaint is that when setting a new wallpaper, it will zoom in on it on the home screen but on lock screen it stays just as how it's supposed to be. Quick workaround is to switch to the default launcher, change the wallpaper, change back to lawnchair.
This is phenomenal. After you get used to the drawer set-up, the customization abilities are much much higher than the One UI and other launchers that I have seen and tried. You have the control over any customization you'd like to make to the fonts, the desktop, and the drawer's nitty gritty details if you'd like, and etc. It rarely bugs out and is pretty much stable in terms of software, so no worries for that as well. This app brought out the thing that pixels are loved for and it's amazing.
Convert from Smart Launcher's meltdown in January 2022. After 2 days of their update crashing my phone, I had to figure out an alternative. This works, is simple like the old SL layout, and lets me categorize apps. It doesn't do it for me, or have a sidebar menu navigation like SL. It is much leaner and most importantly, it works.
This is a pretty good launcher. Provided that it has a bug or I think some things need to be improved. An example of which is that when I swipe up to open my app drawer it opens at approximately 30 to 20 frames per second. I am using a Motorola Droid Turbo 1 and the hardware of this phone is more than capable of handling any thing that overlays on other apps. The second flaw of this launcher that I have noticed is that when I restart my phone the icons from the homescreen disappear.
Very smooth. I like it. But it will be better if it had some unlock animation, like zoom-in animation when the device unlocks. Also it will be better if it had more and stable weather widget. At a glance's weather doesn't stay long. I hope to be getting an update on more widgets and that unlock animation very soon. ❤️
This launcher is fantastic. It allows me to do all of the customization I could possibly want without losing any of the functionality or user friendliness that my phone already has (in fact, it can even add to the functionality). And the fact that it's able to do this for free is amazing. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for some extra customization for their phone.
A truly superb launcher. I've used this for a while now, with an older OnePlus as well as the Pixel 6. Customizable through and through, high speed without seeming clunky, easily mastered and free of annoying ads and bloatware. I sincerely recommend this one to anybody wanting a clean, easily integrated launcher, or one you can fine-tune down to one corner of your applications, because Lawnchair takes the cake by a landslide.
A very good and very smooth ad free launcher. But it needs a little bit of tweaking in the settings and developer. Very fluent experience. Just some thing that it needed 1/ A theme store app. Practically that would actually increase the size of the launcher app but even a separate launcher app would have been nice. 2/ the app hiding feature is good to have but it's pretty basic. It needed a password or fingerprint verification option. Hope that developers sees my feedback
Used to use this all the time, everything was normal, then suddenly when i try to use the dock, it doesn't even open the Google app, it opens some kind of google search, and the most annoying part, I can't use the drawer search bar at all, i can only search the internet, and if i switch the search engine to just Google, the voice search/assistant button disappears. PLEASE HOW DID THIS HAPPEN (i also tried uninstalling and reinstalling but nothing worked
Great app, has been working smoothly so far. However, with Android 11 it will not stay up. Meaning, every time I close an app via the recently used apps tab, Lawnchair closes and I have to manually start it again. Which is extremely annoying and frustrating.
Great interface, subpar experience. Smooth UI, and snappy animations but Google Feed frequently breaks and I have to restart my phone. This launcher also seems to eat system resources, I could feel my phone getting warm, just sitting idle on the home screen. The launcher is also unable to determine when to step in from the recents screen without hitting or gesturing to "go home." Galaxy S20 Android 11 ------ Edit: it's now 2022, I'm on a OnePlus 9 5G, and feed STILL doesn't function.
Great launcher. Almost identical to Google Pixel experience. Only giving it 4 stars though as it can be unstable at times and start to slow down. For instance, sometimes the searching for apps randomly stops working and I have to restart my device to get it to work again. Overall, solid launcher.
Needs a high priority big fix. Likely for all Samsung phones. Currently on Samsung Z Flip 3 5G, the multitasking window and swipe back gestures get the apps stuck and have to swipe several times for it to go away. Sometimes have to lock the phone and reopen for it to even work. Just happened in latest update. Tested other launchers and no issues
Clean and fast launcher. Allows for good customization options such as icon shapes, gestures, and many others. My only major gripe is that you can't set pages as the home page or rearrange them as far as I can tell. The "Rearrange pages" view only allows you to delete them, unless I'm missing something. I also can't find a way to change the color of notification dots, so if I have a dark background, and an app inside a folder has a notification it will be hard to notice.
One bug so far...like it better than One UI 2.0. Favorite feature is that I can have an icon for a folder and then gently swipe up to access the contents of that folder. The bug? For some reason, the lock function is constantly engaging. I'll be able to move icons around but then after a while, I'm unable to do so. To fix it, I go into the settings, turn on lock, turn off lock, and all works as expected. Very strange.
Very good launcher. Gives a good stock Android feel and is quick and responsive. My only complaint is that the weather keeps disappearing for apparently no reason, and reenabling it in the settings sometimes fixes it. Also, i really don't like that I can't move the first page, or set whatever page I want as my main page. If these issues get fixed, it will become the perfect launcher, at least for me.
Love the fact that I have the real Google feed on this. It was one of the issues experienced when switching from the pixel phones. Would request the for the following : (1) when an alarm is set, have it display on the "quick glance" widget (2) have the option to automatically go back to the default home screen when the screen turns off at, say the 2nd or 3rd page. Ie if I scroll to the second page on the phone's desktop and turn off the screen and then turn it back on, it would stay there
Okay, I really don't know if I'm just being dumb, but I've spent some time fiddling around and I cannot get new desktop pages to the left of the home page, nor can I change which page is the home page, it's always the leftmost. That's kind of a deal breaker for me... Apart from that, the launcher is amazing, best one out there in my opinion. Has a bunch of innovative customization, looks sleek, respects your privacy, overall amazing. Just really, really lacking that extra desktop customization.
It's a very nice launcher, but it seems to have several bugs when using the new gestures. When it does work, the new gestures work surprisingly well, albeit maybe not perfect. But more recently I've had issues such as not being able to access the recent apps screen. When you close an app and return to the homescreen, the first time you try to interact with the launcher (tap, swipe, etc.), it does nothing, flashing black briefly. It does work the next time, though. Hopefully these can be fixed.
Lawnchair is really good. It is the most customisable Pixel launcher in the Play Store and it is clean and lightweight. However, there are some problems that I hadn't encountered before. First, the Google Feed doesn't turn dark like the rest of the launcher when I enable dark mode. Secondly, there are some weird, almost transparent bars in the dock section and they only appear when I am in the home screen. They are very annoying to look at. Hope these problems get ironed out.
So far so good. Well done and wonderfully executed launcher. Extremely smooth and functions beautifully. Great amount of customization options. Would truly love to see an option to pick color choices for the Google search bar below the dock icons ( as in the bar itself and the Google logo and assistant logo). That would be amazing rather than just sticking with white and black. But I'm sticking with lawn chair for a while in hopes of seeing how much it matures.
Absolutely Amazing. Though there's a slight bug. When I touch and hold an icon within a folder, that icon gets permanently fixed in that place. Even if I close the folder and scroll to a different page, the icon wouldn't go away. And it's non interactive. Just a non functioning icon burned into the wallpaper. Hope this gets fixed soon. Other than that, the best lawnchair ever 😉.
If you have never replaced your stock launcher this is a great one to try. It is fast and customizable. The only reason I'm giving three stars is that there isn't much innovation here... I've been using another launcher for years and was looking for a change but Lawnchair wasn't much different. Also I found the screen flicker every time you change a setting to be annoying.
Excellent. Fast & Smooth. Customisable. Unintrusive. I have tried other launchers (Microsoft, Pixel, Nova etc) but keep coming back to this on my lg g6 for simple reasons like the sheer fluidity and being able to swipe down anywhere to bring down quick settings. Why don't all launchers allow that ? Saves reaching to the top of the screen. Very solid free app.
