I have no problems with the app. Providers however are not reliable they don't show up they tell you they're going to be there and never show up. It has now been a month since my grass has been cut by these people I have had two different crews been blown off four times. Find another service run away from this one.
Charges are much higher than going direct to a local service. Gave me a 3 week window when someone might show up for a treatment and could not pin down an actual date. Took several days for customer service to respond to a cancelation request. Individual who actually did the mowing was very nice.
Terrible app. Terrible company in general. The lawn crews have made constant mistakes and lawnstarter does nothing to fix the problem. Edit: I have since been in contact with Kat, Army, and Shara B. Every time you reply to their support email it gets routed to new customer service agent and not one of them actually responds with anything meaningful. It feels like an automatic response. Also that number is just a voicemail that no one actually responds to. It's all a sham.
Lawnstarters was scheduled to mow my lawn eight days ago and still no one has showed up or even contacted me about it! I have called and emailed them several times yet no one has responded to me! They are an extremely unreliable service and I would not recommend them to anyone. If zero stars were an option I would have chosen zero stars because that's all they deserve.
I started with LawnStarter (LS) 3 1/2 years ago, as a temporary measure. LS operates using independent commercial operators and scheduled service interruptions DO occur because 'some' LS contractors prioritize their business clients. NO backup is provided by LS, for missed appointments. But LS did find me new providers, when I experienced issues with service quality and property damage. Providing honest and timely feedback seems to be the best way to guarantee excellent LS service.
First time using this service, got canceled on twice, and they never messaged or called to reschedule. I tried messaging them first but go nothing back in return and it's been a good week. 100% don't recommend
Very fast done in no time at all, are dependable and they usually cut my grass early in the morning which I like because I have 2 dogs. Like the app very easy to move around it.
Unfortunately, this has proven time and time again to be an unreliable lawn company. I tried so many times to work with this company, but they just don't have good company practices or good work ethic. I have had too many issues from day 1. I allowed them to talk me into not cancelling services and even previously agreed to give them a good review after they fixed one issue, only to be face with a host of new issues. Today I decided to switch companies since I don't feel valued by this one.
This is the worst service please run away if you are with this company the crew never showed up to my house they texted me on the app that they were coming but they never did than I called the provider I had to wait 30mins on the line just to speak with someone horrible service and so unprofessional!
Outstanding and very professional job on my entire lawn. They did everything, edging, weed wacking and cut it short per my request. I highly recommend them.
Nothing but good things to say. Plus counting on a company instead of one individual relieves stress!
Never showed up, never messaged, took 4 days to reply and say they had an emergency and couldnt make it 5 days ago, rescheduled. Again they did not show up or message. Waste of time amd two whole days rearranging my schedule.
I received a quote within minutes of calling lawnstarter... this app is prefect for communicating with crews and getting other service quotes as well. So far I am a happy camper.
I got a great crew who are really nice guys and do great work on my lawn it looks really nice they come on time and do a good job .I would recommend them to anyone who wants a lawn care crew. I have had a good experience with the people in the app and have had good sevice from the pros they researched and recommended to me to hire . I would like to recommend mr farmer to anyone who wants lawnstarter to do their grass as a great company to work with
I signed up for this services 3 weeks ago and not 1 mow. They marked my service completed without doing a service. Please avoid this company and find someone else.
This was my first experience using this service and so far I'm pleased. After the first appointment I requested a new crew and everything was much better.
They are always on time and they do a thorough job lawn looks great every time.
No customer service, cant cancel a specific service, and ease of app is not there.
My credit card was charged for services I never received they never showed up...never contacted me but a continuing to charge my card

My crew rescheduled me three times and just never showed up at the time he said he would when I asked when he'd be able to get to me. After a week of being given the run around, I went with a different company. Support took a while to get back to me to stop my service all together.
First time I used the service I got hit with the "long grass fee" which doubled the cost. The pictures they sent as validation were taken from a low angle so the grass looked a lot longer than it was. Based on our camera, footage the guy was there less than an hour so it definitely didn't warrant twice the price. EDIT: customer service was very helpful, they responded quickly and removed the extra charge.
The app doesn't seem to have a good way for crews to reschedule due to rain, which is a pretty critical feature, and meant the service was extremely irregular. And then to top it all off, while using this service we had two different crews damage plants and flowers on our property. You'd think they would learn to be careful after we reported the first crew, but apparently not. We gave this service a fair shot and were constantly disappointed. Don't use it.
Lawn service has been fine but app needs updating. As a property owner of multiple rental properties, it would be nice if the dates scheduled services could also be sent to my tenants so they know when lawn providers are coming on the property. The info is sent to me, but I have to screenshot it and send it out to all my tenants every two weeks. It can be hard to keep up with. The app simply needs an option for a second phone number to input tenant numbers.
Had it for a year it was good in the beginning but at the start of this year it was trash! Constant cancellations ppl not showing up and trying to charge outrageous prices. Then suddenly they cancelled my subscription abruptly because they claimed they couldn't find a crew in my area. Turns out it was the best thing for me. I went with Greenpal it was cheaper and they are way more professional and reliable! Good riddance!!
You get a 1 because the sub was a nice guy. But the extra charges and fluctuating and unclear pricing is not an acceptable way of doing business. Our previous service was $25/week, you are charging me anywhere between $40 and $60. And you never responded to a customer contact from 2 days ago about the billing. Y'all have a long way to get before I sign back up.
Lawnstarter doesn't let you: 1. See conversations with mowers unless you exit the app and click on links from your SMS app. 2. Access conversations at all from their website. 3. Take photos with the "take photo" function (it just reopens the LS home screen, you lose the photo, then you have to go back to SMS to get back to the conversation). 4. Share photos without zooming in and cropping them. The app is poorly designed, customer service is good, the mowers usually disappoint.
This is a great lawn service me and my wife love the way you get notified when the worker can't make it out that day and the reason. 5 🌟 service

Worst lawn service I've ever used. First appointment, they only mowed half the yard. One appointment was rescheduled for "bad weather" when it was sunny all day. Several appointments were marked as complete when nobody had showed up. That "three appointment commitment" is designed to trap you in a bad contract.
